Nice gym for the price. Rarely crowded so little to no wait for equipment. However the equipment could be a little better maintained. A serious fitness enthusiast would probably be disappointed, but for the average Joe trying to get/stay in shape it will do just fine.

Overall the best gym ive been to and ive been to them all. Plantet fitness does not have any heavy weights, Fitness 19 DOES. Anytime fitness has a limited selection of weights, fitness 19 has it all. La fitness is expensive and filled with a bunch of D bags, fitness 19 is affordable and the people are like one big family. I paid $150 for the entire year. Trust me sign up here and you'll be pleased. Have a blessed day and dont forget to call Michigan Gardens and Snow Removal for all your indoor needs. God bless

Fitness 19 is my preferred gym. Friendly staff, and the pricing is great. They offer "Free Friend Fridays", so if you have a membership, you can bring a friend along. They also play good music, in case you forget your headphones.

The equipment is usually up to par, and the enviornment plays diverse music, however my only problem is the staff, particulary two members, one more than the other (I won't give descriptions and disclose names). I'm the type of person to want to get my work out in and go home, and not be bothered by anyone. I even put earbuds in (when I remember them).

However, one of them constantly talks to me, and it makes me a little uncomfortable. I bear with them, but I'd like some distance.

Get there early and you can avoid the knuckleheads. Good deal for $15 per month. My only complaint is that I verified when I signed up that I wouldn't be liable for the next billing cycle when I cancel and they assured me that was the case. Fast forward to now, I canceled, and I'm still paying $15 on the next billing date even though I'm not accessing the club (I moved). $15, not a big deal I guess. Then, when I cancelled, the manager told me I could access the club nearest to where I'm moving to until my membership is cancelled. I called the nearest club to make sure, and they told me I had a single club membership and could only work out in Eastpointe. PLEASE learn the rules of your own club before you tell customers false information.

I came from working out at the YMCA, so hear me out. The price is phenomenal - you can't beat this! I wish they had something like disposable wipes for the equipment rather than spray bottles and very used microfiber cloths, but there is a LOT of equipment here to vary your workout with. You can stick to cardio if you like - there's plenty of space and cardio machines. You can stick to weight training - from very easy levels to super, mega-builder equipment. There's a place you can do your own yoga or tai-chi and no one looks at you funny; fitness balls, yoga mats, free weights, etc.. Child care is available for a fee, as is personal training or a class. And honestly, if all I have to say negative about it is that *I* don't like the cleaning equipment, it's not that bad. It loses a star for the startup costs, and additional charges for classes and childcare. While the Y is pricey, the extras were included there. If you use those, you should check the budget differences between the two and go from there - including the startup cost if any. For MY fitness goals, Fitness19 is awesome! I'll stick around!
