Kelly is absolutely amazing to work with. I was so nervous to start working out with a trainer and she did such an amazing job making me feel comfortable! Kelly is THE BEST!
I recently moved to Michigan and was looking to start improving my overall fitness and strength/get into a habit of movement in a way I enjoyed. I did a little research and Fitness You Can Live With stood out immediately!
Kelly was kind enough to talk with me on the phone about my fitness history, goals, and personality before charging me a dime. I remember feeling so safe, valued, and heard. She spent the first session getting to know my overall health - physical, mental, emotional, diet, etc. - in order to better help me as a whole person, not just me as a “lifter.”
Kelly is not the type of trainer that screams “MORE MORE MORE” and “FASTER FASTER FASTER” — and thank God for that!! She is the type of trainer who focuses on form, variety, and healthy pace. Kelly knows your limit, asks you to push yourself a little bit more than you did the last time, and encourages/celebrates with you in a relaxed and positive way. We’ve been working together for about six months and I am noticing not only differences in my strength, but in my mental game regarding my capabilities and my body.
Kelly is funny as heck, body positive, and meets you exactly where you are! Her training is evident as she constantly educates me about which muscle is engaged, how to improve my form, and why we are doing the exercise. She is able to target specific requests for different body types/goals, and she is able to hone in on different muscle/body part-specific weaknesses in her clients. Kelly is a true friend — someone who will check in on you throughout the week with a quick text or link to an article on a health topic. I love chatting with her as she encourages me during a workout and I have loved getting to know her through all of her hilarious stories. And all of her adorable puppies greet you when you arrive! Can’t get much better than that. 😊

I have been working out with Kelly for several years now. Kelly is an amazing personal trainer and life coach who truly cares about all her clients. She goes above and beyond to give you the tools to help you reach your fitness goals. Kelly creates a comfortable space to push your limits and help you grow mentally and physically. Through out the years I have gained so much knowledge about nutrition and healthy foods that fuel my body. Kelly has so many avenues to get you moving including personal training, hikes, group workouts, boxing, mobility class and even an app with personalized workouts! Kelly is an inspiration and i would recommend her to anyone.

Kelly is beyond amazing to work with! I have several restrictions from previous medical procedures and have tried personal trainers in the past. I spent a lot of money and still ended up injured. When a friend suggested Kelly I was beyond hesitant to try it again. I'm so thankful I met Kelly and took the plunge to try to better my health again. Through health coaching I have learned much about myself and my relationship with food. Through personal training I am much stronger and more confident in what my body can do. Kelly challenges me to push myself while still keeping me in check so I do not get hurt. I do not feel limited or that I have a lot of special needs. Kelly carefully plans my workouts to maximize the effect and keep me safe. I truly leave each session feeling stronger and more capable. I see myself transforming daily not only in the way my body looks, but also how I think about myself, and in the way I relate with food. She is worth way more than a 5 star rating!!

Training with Kelly at FYCLW is great. Kelly is always mixing things up, and changing routines, keeping workouts fun and unique. She will work at your level, and push you as hard as you want to be pushed, with no pressure or shaming techniques. Kelly doesn’t believe in the scale, instead she preaches performance results and body positivity. Personally, I love the group workout environment she has created for me and her long time members.
