My experience with GIVE Fitness since I started a year ago has been great. I tried Give Fitness years ago through a Groupon. Once I started attending a circuit training class it was the perfect combination of individualization, I wanted from a personal trainer without actually having a personal trainer. Everyone in the class was of varying levels and welcoming. Pierre as the Fitness Instructor was very attentive to each of the participants athletic form and overall health goals. By the end of my first session, Pierre had even provided nutritional guidance and tools that I still use years later. This place is theeeee best! I’m not an athletic person so classes intimidate me a lot, but the owner/trainer, and the other attendees are all very friendly and welcoming. The location, 30min class duration, and intensity of the work outs are perfect even for a beginner like me. This is an all inclusive type of work out facility that caters to its beginners as well as experienced members. I have been going to GIVE Fitness since January 2022. After 2 years of not doing any real fitness (thanks pandemic!), I had to get real and I am so glad I found Pierre and GIVE Fitness!

Pierre specializes in designing programs for the client based on their needs, medical conditions, limitations, etc. He pushes me just hard enough that I feel the results, but I am not having to lay around the rest of the week to recover from my workout. And I'm definitely feeling and seeing the results.

The gym is a well-stocked boutique gym. If you do PT, it is semi-private, meaning that there could be up to three other people in the session but they are in their own area, working their own program. It's very easy to schedule PT in the app and you can see if other people are in that session (I can often find a slot where it is just me).

In addition to PT, there are also group classes which you can go to if you are a PT-client or you can go to just as a class-only member. You can schedule for the classes in the app too, I think those have a 6 person limit. There's "Box and Burn", "Body Burn", and good ol' "Thighs, Butts, and Guts"!

100% recommend Pierre to anyone looking to improve their fitness.

I benefit greatly from them.

This place is the best! 30 minutes box and burn is challenging enough for every fitness level. I like that it's all shapes, sizes and ages are there. Box and burn is great, when you think you can't do anymore, the time is up! I have been going for more than a year, all the instructors have helped me reach different fitness goals. When I hurt my foot and wrist, they customized a routine for me so I can still participate. Working out takes a lot of motivation, but this program makes it easier to keep up your goals to get strong.

Short version: save your money and go somewhere else.

Long version: When I purchased my 24 pack less than a year ago I was super excited to get started at the Ferndale location. My schedule only allowed me to do a couple sessions a month and then personal matters came up so I had to take a pause. I was ready to get back into the swing of things this year but I tried to book a session only to find out that the Ferndale location closed. I WAS NOT notified. Going to the Detroit location is not feasible for me so I asked Pierre, the owner for a refund of the remaining passes that I had left over. He is refusing to give me a refund and said that it is not possible at this time due to financial reasons. Well, this is complete BS because I have bills to pay too and I thought I could get what I paid for when purchasing a personal training package. You never know when he will close the Detroit location on you and then basically steal your money so watch out. Super disappointed and sad because I thought Pierre ran a solid business.
