I joined this gym today, and I’m happy to report that they worked with me and understood my fitness goals and needs.

Parker and Jason were great at explaining the membership options and gym fees. I feel like most of us are excited about joining a health club, and more often than not, we bypass the understanding that all gyms have yearly fees and cancellation fees; this is completely normal.

In my opinion, the highlights of this gym include the space and variety of rooms available to ensure a great workout. They offer 2-3 different machines for the upper, mid, and lower body, which is great! For advanced fitness enthusiasts, this means you won’t have to wait to complete your workout routine.

For beginners, I highly recommend hiring one of their skilled personal trainers to start your fitness journey the right way. Any day is a good day to practice self-care.

So far, one of my favorite machines is the standing hamstring curl; this machine is a gem, and I’m super happy they have it.

The gym is clean, the bathrooms are neat, the weights are organized, and they offer spray bottles with towels for you to wipe down the machines after every use. I have yet to try the classes and provide feedback, or the smoothie bar, hydro massage, and sauna. Eventually, I will.

This health club has a lot to offer for everyone, no matter what fitness level you are at. I’m glad I started going here, and I’m looking forward to making new friends.

This gym is not worth it. The biggest issue is their predatory cancelation policy. The ONLY way to cancel your membership is in person, through electronic cancelation paperwork plus an $100 cancelation fee. I have tried to contact them through email and phone years ago and did not recieve a response until they forwarded payments to a debt collection agency. They are out to grab your money. Please be cautious.

Membership price is reasonable. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. All of the other patrons I've met so far were very kind. They have gym wide challenges up on the TV screens, and free group fitness classes for members. Lots of various machines, anything you're looking for, they got it. Equipment is kept clean and in good repair. This is a great gym.
Taking two stars off for their predatory cancellation policy. After you cancel, they still charge you an additional month. Like it or not. But you still have access for that month. Even if you don’t want it.

If I could leave negative stars I would. This is a scam. They sign people up for an annual plan without a clear explanation of cancelation fees. Signed up for a trial, tried to cancel and got a $400 bill from collections without ever working out once. During the tour earwigs were all over the locker room. And obviously my "dues" weren't paying for anyone to clean anything. Bring a white a towel and wipe anything, won't be white anymore. Do yourself a favor and go to anywhere but here.

I had a horrible experience with this gym that cost me hundreds of dollars do to membership and them not canceling it when they was supposed to do to my request and it being paid up front the owner himself was preset when this was paid and I still had to pay the balance again because when I paid I paid cash and thought it was resolved until a year later and it was a negative balance on my credit report

The $10 a month membership fee requires three year commitment and is $100 cancelation fee.I got severely injured tried canceling over the phone. My membership was renewed without my approval. I was unable to drive and couldn’t workout for months and now that I am finally here canceling my membership and, I am being charged the entire amount due.

Updating from the three years ago I originally posted. Story time while going to the gym here again (I went for the sauna mainly) the gym is not properly cleaned and the free weights area in the back has stuff dripping down the walls it’s very unsanitary. I was using a foam roller on the wall and noticed a black residue on my back and the roller I was mortified. The staff is fairly helpful but, when I brought the issue up to them about the room they said, “it’s an old building.” I understand that but, seems like you may need a new roof them. The sauna is great when it is working and the staff doesn’t turn it off early. The level of cleanliness in the locker rooms is not up to standards as other gyms I’ve been too.

Be careful signing up for a monthly plan was not clearly stated that I had to keep the membership for a year if I didn’t want to have to pay 100$ to cancel my membership I did not like the gym just didn’t feel clean and felt run down, once purchased the membership you must buy a 20$ card to get into the gym the cancellation fee should be better printed out or very obvious just to clear up all the hidden fees.

My health insurance pays for my gym memberships, so I have not had any of the payment issues that several people are complaining about. I live in Taylor and this is my favorite gym. I wish I had the time to drive down to Monroe more often because this would be my primary gym. It has plenty of great old school equipment, plenty of racks and weights and a good dumbbell selection. People seem to forget that 15 years ago the gym wasn't social place for hangouts and meetups. It is a place to go get work done, sweat and sometimes bleed. The average gym goer doesn't realize that for some folks being in a weight room is a place to work through issues both physically and mentally. Complaints about dirty equipment or weights left on machines... It's a gym! its called GO MAD. It's not a Starbucks... If you want a clean gym where staff is on the floor cleaning and re-racking equipment, then I suggest a YMCA, lifetime fitness. That's what your $50+ a month membership get you. Otherwise... take a chill pill, put your phone down and get to work!

Purchased a membership after doing some classes there that nonmembers could attend. Membership was purchased on 06/24. Things came up (things I don’t feel I NEED to tell a GYM) and was informed I would have a $100 penalty because I’m past the 3 days. Nowhere in my contract does it state how much the penalty is (which I’m pretty sure voids the contract but I’m looking into that ). Friends and others have informed me of when they cancelled their membership they only had to pay the next month. Was also informed I can only cancel if A. I’m moving and have to show proof B. A medical reason or C. I do a contract buyout. All of these also include the $100 fee they want to charge me for a gym I didn’t even have enough time to pick up my membership card for.

This is the worst gym in the area. Do not go here. The staff and owner are unprofessional. The staff along with the owner allow women to be harassed by other members and they do nothing about it. The equipment is outdated and dirty. The barbells are all rusty and most of the dumbbells do not have a matching weight.

DO NOT GO HERE. They charged me throughout the pandemic (even when they were closed), tried to get me to enter their building amidst covid-19 on the basis of my electronic payment "not going through", even though my bank had adequate funds and my bank said there were no issues. They ended up charging me electronically anyways after they couldn't get me to come in, including a late fee that wasn't my fault. I couldn't pay rent that month.they said no refunds. I thought that was it as it was the end of my contract. I just now got charged again 20 dollars. 5 MONTHS AFTER MY CONTRACT ENDED. DO NOT GO HERE. if YOU CARE ABOUT LOSING MONEY. They will scam you. I hate leaving bad reviews for small businesses but this is unacceptable and so dissapointing. I wish Laurie would have fixed this issue the first time but after being charged AGAIN, I can't stay silent. Edit: 3 weeks later, they charged me AGAIN.

It was all well at first. Somehow after I canceled my membership 6 months later I was charged 130 dollars out of the blue and it overdrafted my bank account. All I had was the simple 25 dollar monthly plan. Unsure how they pulled off this heist. I was hungry with no gas and no money until my bank credited me the money they took back. I stopped by this gym this morning to get a membership. On the application, they demand(mandatory) your birthdate and social security number. Why does a gym need my social security number? What safeguards do they have in place to make sure peoples information isn’t stolen? Why is this mandatory when I don’t even need to put my ss number on the form to buy a firearm in many states? I asked all this to the woman working there, who just looked clueless and said,” I don’t know, I’m not the manager.”

’ve been a member for nearly a year and a half. I’m now being transferred to another state with my job. When I tried to cancel they said I had to actually come in and sign a cancellation form. When I arrived they said I had to give them 30 days notice to cancel and pay an advanced fee for cancelling. It was shortly before the first of the month so I was about to pay my dues. In order to cancel my membership I would have to pay the next months bill including the month after because of the advanced notice. It was insane, and there was NO remorse from the person at the desk when I told her I couldn’t afford that and I felt trapped. I can not believe how a business can treat a loyal customer in that manner.

Probably the best gym in town if you want more than just cardio equipment. They do offer classes which is cool, but at the same time if those classes are ongoing they'll kick you out of areas within the gym despite being a paid member. Also the equipment in many areas needs replaced... medicine balls are shot. Gym mats are gross and worn down. There's hardly any jump ropes and the layout of the gym now caters to members that take classes. That said they do have a decent free weight selection and have gotten treadmills fixed or replaced recently. There's also a huge workout shakes menu which is really great if you're there during business hours.

Use to be an okay gym. Now you have weights left everywhere. Weights left on equipment, benches left by the squat rack. Yearly maintenance fee that used to up grade area that'll only" makes a difference " in the owners pocket book. This place is a joke.
