Mike the manager needs an attitude adjustment. He’s demeanor is very rude and not welcoming. another guy that manages he’s very sweet and helpful & care about the safety of the members durning after hours. The gym is hot no AC. Other than that I do like the gym!

The man that was there at the front desk was super nice but the gym itself needs some serious work if it wants to live up to the golds gym name. The lighting is AWFUL and the equipment is lacking. I ended up having to leave to get a workout elsewhere.

Easily the worst Gold’s Gym I’ve ever been to. The air conditioning is never on, even in the middle of summer — it’s unbearable. The machines are outdated and constantly broken, and nothing ever gets replaced. Worst of all, they let kids run around everywhere like it's a daycare. Super distracting and honestly not safe. Thinking of switching gyms ASAP.

The past few weeks the gym has been hotter inside than outside. Pay too much in membership for the A/C to not be on in the summer months. The maintence of the machines is poor. Something is always broken. Upgrades are often cheap amazon buys. The staff and team do their best to keep it cleaned and maintained but the place needs a deep clean

We are writing on the behalf of the family who have been coming here for years through our fitness your way membership. I wanted to submit some feedback on the recent decision to not turn the AC on during the last few summer weeks. We work out really hard and the lack of AC has been really overwhelming as it’s been so hot. We have a few other gyms memberships and will needing to switch, at least until the AC situation is fixed. This is unfortunate because we love it here.

Additionally, I think they’d really benefit from hiring a cleaning crew at least once a week.

I’ll be happy to delete this upon action to resolve the situation.

I used to really enjoy coming here, but now that it’s summer, the air conditioning is either not on or not working properly. It feels more like a sauna than a gym—hot, humid, and extremely uncomfortable to work out in, especially when the gym gets crowded. For the amount we pay in membership fees, you’d expect a climate-controlled environment that supports a safe and effective workout. Unfortunately I’ll be canceling my membership.

Tried this location this gym gives Gold's Gym a bad name u can go down the street to a clean spacious enviroment for half the cost there is very little equipment and the place is cramped and smells of mold I would recommend staying away from here!

This place is has become nothing other than a bad tarnish on the Gold’s Gym name. The equipment is poorly maintained, most of the cables are frayed and not functioning properly, the seat covers are all are frayed, children aged 14 are now training in there regularly, there’s a “personal trainer” who’s actually not a personal trainer nor certified in any capacity who brings in a personal speaker overpowering the gyms sound system. This trainer brings approximately 5-10 people in with him who are all using about 6 machines at once, they leave equipment scattered throughout the gym and it’s never returned to its proper place when this fake personal trainer leaves. 40$ a month, 160$ annual fee puts membership cost at well over 500$ a year to tolerate this obscenity that takes place in this gym. I started here before it was Golds and have been loyal through all the years and honestly I’m over it at this point. This place is basically a downgrade version of planet fitness these days. Nothing good to say about this place anymore other than some of the staff and the people that train there

Great gym, excellent place to focus on working out. Clean facility and friendly staff. It’s also the only gym that I’ve found to be truly open 24/7 in the area. Smaller in terms of sqft, but has everything you need, so I’d say it’s pretty efficient. I’ve been going here about 3 years now.

Golds Taylor Gym gets a 5 star from me. It might not be the prettiest but if you are serious about your workouts it has everything you need. Love the small and imitate feeling and icing on the cake is the sauna.

I've been to my fair share of gyms. This one is truly one of the best. has all the equipment you will ever need including ropes, hammer swings, tires, and cart.

Don't expect anything like planet fitness. There is no such thing as a lunk alarm.

The equipment is well maintained.

I normally come very late at night, after 11pm. There are still people here at the gym which shows the dedication of the members that come here. Pay the extra money and skip planet fitness, you will be far more motivated here.

Manager is very rude and disrespectful. I have a membership thru active and fit but they cancelled it without me knowing because I have not used it for 2 months. I came in to workout and manager tells me my membership is cancelled and I cannot reactivate it with no explanation as to why he was not allowing me to reactivate it.

Came right at 7 o’clock hoping to sign up with an active and fit membership because I was flying out of Detroit. Door was locked, but a guy was in there restocking the refrigerator. Knocked on glass guy clearly ignoring me. I travel all over the country, gyms are normally a pretty friendly, welcoming place. This was an exception. I ended up just going to the Crunch Fitness seven minutes away. The four-star review sort of makes sense. I’m glad I don’t live by it.

Owner is the COOLEST guy! Came here from out of state and just wanted to get a quick workout in after work, and owner was super accommodating with the guest pass. Then he was locking up for the night and leaving, but made sure to come by and tell me and my buddy how to exit the gym when the doors were locked, and overall just seemed like the most likeable guy in the gym. Highly recommend lifting at this Golds gym!

I bought a membership here since it was near my house and within the first two days I regret it. The gym atmosphere is just awful and it doesn’t even feel like a gym. The staff is extremely rude amd it seems that they all hate their job based on how they act. Careful because they will also hit you with semiannual fees that your are not told about when you sign up. Don’t get tricked into getting a membership at this dump!

Nice gym. Pretty clean. Staff is really friendly and polite. It is on the smaller side, but I prefer that over the huge commercial gyms. Another plus is there isn’t many teenagers coming in groups and hogging all the equipment. Another thing I’m a little dissatisfied with is that the dumbbells only go up to 100lbs. I thought all golds gyms had dumbbells that went up to 200lbs. Hopefully they invest in some heavier ones in the future.

Compared to Planet Fitness they have less equipment and services but charge more money. Every handle I touched there was greesy, the staff is rude. They blast emo screamo music at full volume. They only have 1 tanning bed.

Great gym been going to it before it was a gold and before they officially launched and from day 1 once person in particular has made the experience as a whole the best it could ever have been and that’s Natalie. She’s always friendly and has a great smile on her face no matter what she’s doing she will always answer any questions you have and go out of her way to do everything she can to help you she truly makes the experience all the better I’d suggest anyone looking to get a membership here ask for a tour from her she will make you feel welcomed before you even sign up! All in all I couldn’t recommend any other gym besides this one a great gym, good people, amazing staff and 24 hrs what else could you want!!!
