I take my high school PE class to GRIT, and it’s always a fantastic experience! They’ve done an amazing job accommodating up to 28 students with three rotating stations that keep everyone engaged and active. My Female Group Fitness class had an awesome time and got a great workout. Chris and his team are incredibly motivating, encouraging, and professional. I truly appreciate all the effort they put into creating such a positive and empowering environment for my students. Highly recommend GRIT to anyone looking for a high-energy, well-organized fitness experience!

I went to my first Pilates class here, and it was such a great experience! The instructor Marcia was amazing. She immediately noticed it was my first time in a while and gave me just a little extra guidance without making me feel singled out. She explained the movements clearly, checked my form, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the class. I really appreciated the extra support, and it made the workout feel both challenging and encouraging. Definitely looking forward to going back!

Great first class at Grit! This was my first Pilates workout and it far exceeded my expectations. Pilates is a great strength training workout with exercises that are very concentrated and intense. I only wish I started at Grit 10 years ago. Grit is an amazing Pilates Studio AND far more. Chris tailors your program to your goals across many approaches (kettlebell, reformer, rings, “The Barrel”, “The Chair”, and more. At the heart of his approach is form and getting the most out of your time by doing every rep right. This rapidly builds strength without injury! This to me is THE difference at Grit. Chris takes his expertise beyond the studio with meaningful coaching on nutrition and healthy living. I’ve worked out for 10 years before coming to Grit, but Chris took it to another level. I highly recommend engaging Grit to create your plan. The sooner you start, the faster you’ll improve your health and increase your strength - age is never an excuse, I’m in my fifties and never felt better. Thank you Chris!

I had known about Grit for a while and finally gave it a try, even though I’d never done Pilates before. Chris is different—he’s a true coach who cares about long-term health and building strength that lasts. I came in wanting more muscle awareness to support my CrossFit and powerlifting, and it’s been a game changer. I’ve learned how to slow down, be more present, and really engage the right muscles, especially my core. It’s made me stronger, more confident, and has even shifted my mindset around training. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Grit and Chris! I started going to Chris to help with my chronic lower back pain and to strengthen my core. Just a few sessions later, my back pain was gone! Chris is a patient, helpful instructor who pushes you to your limits! His classes and private sessions are not easy but very rewarding. I started with private sessions to work on the pilates moves and work on form...highly recommend. I enjoy the smaller class sizes because you can get to know others and get some personalized instruction from Chris. There is an app that you use to book your sessions, super easy. You can buy class/private session packages . I would recommend Grit to anyone! Life changing!

Hello, my name is Murph. Before I came to Grit’s Pilates, I could not walk 30 yards without stopping in pain. I have had numerous back procedures done and countless PT‘s for the last 25 years. Surgery was coming my way again with the screws and stainless steel hardware. A friend of mine told me about Grit's. It is the greatest! The pain going down both my legs has been reduced 85%. I am 100% better than I was the last eight years. being physically active again is truly a blessing.
There is no gimmicks at Grit’s. It is hard work make no mistake! But well worth it.

As a coach and martial arts instructor and trying grit pilates for the first time. It was an amazing experience, but what stud out the most was the reformer. 1 year ago I was coming off of a month long hospital stay. I was looking for a gym that would help me build back strength, be nearby and fit my schedule. Grit and Coach Chris provided everything I was looking for! I love the ‘everyone is welcome’ pilates attitude. I have dealt with back issues for years and love working out. I am a yogi at heart but was told by my physical therapist how much better Pilates was for me. Pilates not just anywhere, but at Grit Pilates. Because not every Pilates instructor truly understands the adjustments you need to make to keep your back safe but at Grit Pilates Chris certainly does. Love GRIT PILATES! I’m not an athlete or even in shape, but I wanted to try Pilates with a reformer and I’m so thankful I found Chris and GRIT! Editing my review to add: Yesterday I tripped on a rug and had a very bad fall. I laid there for a bit to assess my situation. My Apple watch did its job of sending out an alarm and asking me if I wanted it to call EMS. I'm 57 years old and am certain that if I had not been doing Pilates and my other exercising, I would have broken a bone or two. Instead, I just had a skinned knee. I will credit Pilates with my ability to bounce back without any bruises or broken bones.
I’ve been attending Pilates classes here for a couple of years. Chris is an excellent instructor, attentive to knowing when to adjust and correct my exercises so I get the most benefit. I love that each class is different. If you are ready to sweat, to challenge yourself, and to get stronger, sign up!

You will have your individual abilities safely challenged in an intimate mostly coed environment by an expert owner and staff!! Now that’s an intense Pilates reformer class, and wow, what a workout! From start to finish, it was challenging but incredibly rewarding. The instructor did a fantastic job of guiding us through each movement while the reformer machine added an extra layer of resistance, making every exercise feel more effective and engaging. I could feel my muscles working in ways they never have before, especially in my lats. If you’re looking for a challenging, full-body workout that really strengthens and tones, this pilates studio and reformer classes are definitely worth it!

I've been lifting weights and working out consistently for years, but I always struggled with achieving a defined waistline and sculpted legs—two areas that just wouldn't seem to budge. After a couple of months of consistently going to Grit Pilates, I can honestly say the results have been incredible. My waistline is finally more defined, and my legs are noticeably more muscular and toned.
Chris has been an amazing coach throughout this journey. He's incredibly strict about form and consistency, but it's clear that every bit of his attention to detail pays off in the long run. The focus on alignment, precision, and controlled movements in Pilates is unlike anything I’ve experienced before, and it’s definitely made a huge impact on my body.

I have been attending coach Chris’s men’s Pilates reformer classes for the last few months, and they have exceeded all of my expectations!

After a couple of years of being out of the gym regularly, I decided to take the plunge, with some encouragement, to meet with Chris and did a handful of personal training sessions to get started. I have gained significant strength, length, and stamina through the past two months of attending classes (2-3x per week). I found Chris because my daughter's dive coach recommended doing pilates with him to improve her core strength. I brought her one day dressed in my work clothes. This is more or less how it went down:
Chris: "Dad, join your daughter and hop on that other reformer."
Me: "Well, as you can see I have khakis and a button-down on because, you know, I'm coming from work."
Chris: "That's interesting. Hop on the reformer."
Me: "Ok sure." (when you meet Chris, you'll see why I wasn't interested in arguing with him)
Since that day, a few things have happened:
- My wife and three kids all got into it, and we're all in WAY better shape for doing so.
- My back problems are totally gone.
- I'm stronger and more flexible.
- My knees hurt less.
- My endurance is better.
I can't recommend GRIT highly enough. In all honesty I don't always look forward to it (it's extremely challenging regardless of your level), but my quality of life (and my family's) has improved tremendously as a result of doing this 2-3 times per week.

Chris is creative and flexible- tailoring his work out to your personal needs. After 30 days working with Chris remotely without touching a weight or a machine, I have more leg strength and core strength than I’ve had since playing football in the 70’s. If you have back pain or want to be stronger this is probably the most important Google review you'll ever read.
A year and a half ago I met Chris at a yoga class. I was in yoga because I developed a horrific back problem and was trying everything I could think of to fix it.
I tried everything - doctors, massage therapy, dry needling, chiropractors...I had X-Ray's and an MRI...nobody knew what was wrong with me or how to fix it.
If you've never met Chris he looks like a football or professional body builder, but he was doing headstands and really difficult moves in yoga bigger guys usually can't pull off. I was intrigued.
I started talking to him after class and the next thing I knew I was completely addicted to pilates.
In a little over a year:
* Almost completely fixed my back & mobility issues
* Feel better mentally & physically than I ever have
* Achieved the best shape of my life (even after lifting weights for 10 years)
* Feel stronger in my body than I ever have
I started doing pilates with Chris to fix my back issues but now I can do all kinds of things I never thought I would be able to like full splits and hand stands.
Pilates isn't the same everywhere though. I would know because I tried some other studios. Chris has immense depth with pilates and the human body in general that will give you crazy results you won't get anywhere else.
There are lots of pilates studios but only one GRiT. Why are you still reading this? Better sign up for a class before someone takes your spot.

In the time that I've been going to Grit Pilates, I've gotten noticeably stronger and leaner as a result of the reformer techniques Chris employs, not to mention the overall total body strength component of his boot camp. His approach is individualized based on ability and mobility. This is not a studio where one simply goes through the motions. You build on your strengths to improve and progress with each session.
