The instructors are high energy and really get you in the mood to give your best! The moves are pretty easy to follow and most instructors cue (let you know what move is coming up) very well. This group is like an encouraging family, even for the guys like me who work out here!

How do I love thee, let me count the ways!
After over 10 years as a member, I have had:
1. Awesome, fun fitness routines.
2. Nose-to-toes full body cardio workouts.
3. Current, fun music to really get you going.
4. Camaraderie with a super group of women
5. Accountability, if you miss a class, someone will say “Where WERE you???”
6. FUN, talented, hard working instructors! You can even request a song now and then!
7. We celebrate EVERYTHING! Whether it’s your 50th or 200th class, your birthday or anniversary, we celebrate it!
8. Best of all…we have JANE, awesome owner of RO Jazzercise, who makes sure everything runs smoothly, and everyone is treated well.
WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE ? ❤️

This facility is the best! The vibe is kind, inclusive and energetic and there are classes to match all fitness levels. There are SO many class times too so you can always fit it in. Jazzercizing is such a fun, modernized dance cardio workout and not at all 80s ish.

I have been jazzercising at the Royal Oak facility for about 4 years now and I absolutely love it. I could not imagine getting a better workout anywhere else let alone doing it along side tons of amazing women. The community here of students and staff are amazing you will not be disappointed.

What a fun workout! I’ve been working out here for almost 3 years, which is longer than anything else I tried. The classes are easily adaptable for all levels, and it is such a welcoming community.

I have been part of Royal Oak Jazzercise for 25 years. Yes, 25 years! I was a customer for six years and I have been an instructor for almost 19 years. I joined the first day that I went, which was April 10, 2000. I was hooked the first day. Everyone is so welcoming and I feel like I am dancing instead of working out. There is plenty of strength training, which has become more and more important to me. And one of the best things about Jazzercise is that they have CHILDCARE!!! I used to drop my kids off at school and come straight to the 9:45 class. While I don’t need childcare anymore, bringing my kids to the childcare when they were little was so helpful to me. If you’re looking for a welcoming atmosphere and a super fun workout where you can bring your kids, this is the place! All fitness levels welcome!

The sound level at this studio has consistently been too loud multiple times per week over the last few months, even weeks after the new sound system arrived. I know that I can comfortably tolerate 70 decibels without earplugs (which is equivalent to a vacuum cleaner or a normal noisy restaurant), and my earplugs take 25 decibels off the top, which means I can withstand being in a room at 90+ decibels while wearing earplugs. "Long or repeated exposure to sounds at or above 85 dBA can cause hearing loss." (This quote is from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders website.) Everyone has their own subjective music volume preferences, but as someone with a physics master's degree, I can tell you that if I think the sound system is too loud even with earplugs, then it is objectively dangerously too loud for everyone else. Anyone who thinks the volume still needs to be turned up, probably has already damaged their hearing from decades of chronic exposure to loud music. I wear earplugs because I do prefer listening to quieter music than most people, but I also want to protect my ears. Since this compromise isn't good enough, Jazzercise just isn't for me anymore. I refuse to be repeatedly aurally assaulted by painfully loud sounds, and I am tired of people gaslighting me about my hyperacusis. Exercise is supposed to be fun, not a source of stress. I want my body to be flooded with endorphins after working out, not adrenaline and cortisol. I sent the owner an email expressing my concerns about the music volume yesterday after I needed to leave the studio, and she blindsided me at the beginning of class today and insisted on having a conversation about it so I missed the warm-up and decided to just go home rather than be late to class. At the end of our conversation, she said "That's ridiculous. I'm sorry you feel that way," which is both passive aggressive and unprofessional. I canceled my membership. I simply can't support a business if I no longer feel safe there. Losing weight isn't worth losing my hearing or peace of mind.

I’ve come in here twice when visiting my family, they are so fun, professional and accommodating. The first time there were only 2 in the class, the second time I brought 10 family members to an already packed class of 30 for a Christmas gift. The instructors sold it, 100% whether they have a full or empty class. Very good people!

Way better than a traditional gym... Jazzercise keeps me engaged and motivated. The instructors are all top rate and the changing routines keep things fresh. Fellow attendees are friendly and nonjudgmental. If you want to look --and feel -- good, this is the place.
