The personal training is terrible. I pay $100 for an hour session.If you don’t use all of your sessions by the end of your contract you lose them. People get stuck in contracts they can’t get out of even if something happens. Try a private trainer instead. Too corporate.

I’ve been to almost all the LA’s in the area. This is most certainly one of the top 3 that I’ve been to. Wish it was closer to where I’m staying. I would frequent. They have all the machines and it’s well ventilated. Most of these LAs have been sweat boxes.

I’ve played on many LA Fitness basketball courts, but the accumulation of dust, debris, and dirt on this floor is sickening. My hands truly looked better playing outdoor basketball on concrete. I have been at this gym on and off for a few years, can definitely say the current staff might be the most helpful and respectful yet. I had a great experience today with the Personal Training Manager - took time out of his workout to give a spot as well as help identify some potential fixes for my weak points. In my experience at other gyms, trainers have been hesitant to lend a hand without a fistful of cash. So while this may not seem like a big deal to some people, I personally appreciate and respect when people go out of their way to help a total stranger, regardless if the work is in their job title or not. The gym is pretty much always clean, not super packed, and full of friendly faces both workers, and members.

The gym has all you need, staff is actually pretty cool. Issue is I use treadmills a lot and they skip a lot when running. I know that the gym may say something about how they maintain them or fix them but it’s the same ones each time. I’d honestly bump this to five stars if this actually got fixed.

As I walked into the facility the receptionists didn’t greet me. She seemed to be upset that she had to stop her casual conversation with staff. Eventually pointing her finger to the left after I inquired about a membership….. Next I got a tour of the facility with Sean…. He was nice……. We went over option's but Sean wasn’t able to fully answer my questions due to being a new employee but it was cool. NOW this is where the energy shifts….. The GENERAL MANAGER Eman approaches the desk saying that basically I couldn’t afford their membership fees which wasn’t the case. I really wanted the opinion of a family bc honestly IT WAS THE DIRTIEST FACILITY EVERRRRR but my partner loves basketball. However, after I voiced my concerns GM EMAN kept implying that I couldn’t afford a membership….. I became embarrassed for Sean…. I then inquired about a pass however EMAN initially denied me….. I was content with her decision then suddenly GM EMAN requested my drivers license for a pass however I DECLINED …… I was NO LONGER interested….. She AGAIN FORCEFULLY REQUESTED my L’s I STILL DECLINED …… On the 3rd request I asked EMAN why did she need my license??? Her response was “because I need it to activate your pass” I said why if I told you that Im NOT interested in becoming a member ???? ATP Sean looked confused. Once again THE GM EMAN REQUESTED MY ID…… I calmly got up and said good luck to Sean and left!!!! Also the parking lot smelled of strong WEED due to people smoking in their vehicles …….OVER IT!!!! Back home 30 minutes west!!!!

Decent facility. BIGGEST problem is them allowing people to walk around in socks or bare foot. This is beyond disgusting and puts other members at risk for fungus and bacteria exposure. Really hoping they do something about this soon as I have already advised management and they did confirm that it is against club policy to not cover their disgusting feet. Really hoping they start to enforce the rules and not allow their guests to be exposed to other people's disgusting habits and ignorance.

Gym itself is nice but this location is not kid friendly at all. I was out of state for work and I had my kid with me. My his and I went to go workout at a time when there were not that many people there. My kid woke up and did not want to be in the stroller. My husband and I would rotate watching him while one of us is doing our set. My kid would walk around the gym and we made sure he would stay away from areas where people are working out so that he won’t be in anyone’s way. We made sure that he would not mess with any equipment to make sure he does not break anything and most importantly so he won’t hurt himself. We were being respectful to others in there. However, someone who works there came up to me and told me to keep him off the gym floor. He did try to say it in a nice and respectful way so I dis what he asked but I had to cut my workout short. It was disappointing.

Where I live we never had an issue with my kid walking around the gym while one of us is watching him. We go to the gym during his bedtime to make sure he at sleeps while we workout but sometimes he wakes up and wants to walk around. Never did anyone complain to me. The gym owner would always be nice and respectful to us. But here…not they clearly don’t understand what it’s like to have kids and try to workout… especially if you are out of town and have no one to watch your kid.

The gym's early closing time and rushed atmosphere feel unfair, especially given the high membership cost. Many cheaper gyms offer longer hours, so members have more flexibility. Additionally, the management locks up before closing and pushes people out, creating a stressful environment. I’ve been coming here for almost a year now and it’s one of the best gyms I’ve been to. Has everything you need, staff is super nice, and the general energy is good vibes. I joined their personal training program and would highly recommend it. Al is a great trainer and manager, and he was super accommodating of my schedule and my personal goals. Buyer beware! Do not sign one of their death contracts for personal training!! These people will give you the run around. Won’t answer the phone lie about any conversation you had previously with them. This location is obnoxious and rude. It’s all nice and pleasant when they want your money but as soon as you want to cancel or have a civil conversation oh how to cancel they get nasty and rude. So the way they make money is by people signing these contracts and then ghosting the client aka not making timing work for you. Making it impossible to actually have the private training sessions. They will say they call you but they never do. They will have all your personal information on hand be texting and calling you to sign. And then when it’s time to cancel they lie and say oh well we called off LA phones and your phone was out of service. How??? Make it make sense??? I’m still trying to call this location and they won’t answer the phone.

Its been 6 months since I joined this gym. Location is good. Staff is good. Not very crowded compared to some other gyms I have been. Machines are mostly new and well maintained. Not to the bad part: People never keep anything back in place. So you might need to go around the gym to find the weights you need or any other stuff you need. And no one cleans the equipment. So if you don't mind those two things, then go ahead and join.

This review is for Atomic Nutrition which is actually coming inside the LA Fitness in Plymouth on Ann Arbor and Haggarty Rd. It's a juice and protein bar that serves smoothies, various drinks, fruit bowls and more. Owner Ashley and assistant Harmony are both wonderful, caring people!

When you enter the building go around the right side of the desk near the internet cafe and you can find the juice bar very easily.

Aside from the juice bar, while the gym itself was very well lit, had lots of equipment, a pool, and appeared clean when visiting, however, as always, secure personal valuables while working out. I saw the police on site while doing my shoot as they were investigating a theft that had occured there recently.

This gym is not well kept. Plenty of machine are out of service for weeks at a time. Cable machine handles are super hard to find since they only have one of each attachment. There are no stations to spray down your equipment after use.... That was the standard pre COVID!

Ive had a great experience at this La Fitness until about a month ago, i enjoy playing basketball and i play very often here, but lately the courts have been very slippery and unsafe to play on especially later in the day when more people come into the gym and it starts to get more humid. This is due to the Air Conditioning system being broken in the gym and for some reason it still has not been fixed. If the basketball court is a big factor in a gym membership for you I would suggest that you take your business elsewhere as I will if the AC is not fixed by the end of the month.

My Car was broken into during broad daylight at LA fitness Plymouth. They stole my Radar Detector and LA fitness has no cameras in the parking lot or inside the facility. Thankfully there was blood of the suspect. The officer told me they had caught someone else a few weeks ago for stealing from the locker room.
I talked to LA fitness management and they didn’t seem like there were any changes they were planning on making, majority of the time there is no one at the front desk to scan you in and I’ve seen the back door of the basketball court open multiple times as well.

PSA: please secure your valuables with a lock and don’t leave them in your car or Locker as theft is on the rise.

I’ve been coming here for 4 years and brought 2 new members in that time period. Will be looking to go elsewhere and will recommend the same to my friends who joined.

Came to visit a friend to work out with him. Apperently getting a pass requires a 20 minute qestioning sales session. I told "Jerome" that I did not want the 10th degree and just wanted a day pass to work out with a member. Apperently it takes 20$ cash to get out of a sales pitch. I guess whatever makes Jerome's pockets warmer. Good facility but dirty sales tactics.

Was disappointed with the advertising on this location regarding steam room being present. I came specifically to this location to use the facility but they don't have steam room which says on the website and when I called the working rep said they have it. Disappointed wasted my time, effort, and gas!!

The club was nice, lots of equipment. Down Side: No hair dryers, no saunas, no whirlpool and limited pool use, it's set up for swim lanes only 3-6 people max.

Amazing facility. Very new and we'll upkept. Has plenty of machines as well as areas for cardio and calisthenics. Juice bar has great offerings. Staff is friendly.

This la fitness has had one of the rims down for more than two weeks. I personally pay $45 a month and mainly come to this location. Multipl People has required about when the rim will get fixed, no one has an answer. The air conditioning in the gym has also been malfunctioning. It’s very unfortunate that paying customers can’t get working equipment from a million dollar company. I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming to this location or at la fitness all together because of the on going mistreatment of their loyal customers.

Hot, dark, and unprofessional. I joined using a 3 day trial pass from the website. Went in and just wanted to try out the gym but was hounded with questions and wouldn't take no to signing up with the ability to cancel for free later on. Had a leg workout and it was so hot and humid I just cut it short and left.

Next day, I went in to cancel the planned membership and just try out an upper body workout with my 2nd day of the trial. They got all upset and kept hounding me again about quitting. I told them it was too hot while multiple people came up and talked complained to the operational manager that it was hot. After finally getting them to cancel, I went to use my 2nd free day and they said no: "it doesn't work like that around here. Pay him 20 cash and you're good". So I left. What a terrible environment and unprofessional for a gym in a nice area.

After changing the brand , the new esporta fitness is worse. They added more fitness area and moves all the machines closer .. Hardly any place to easily walk-around.

Was a member here for 4 years, and really enjoyed it. It was kept pretty clean, and the women’s locker room has plenty of lockers, restrooms, and showers so that you’re never really fighting for space. Plenty of equipment and machines, although obviously the busier times meant a longer wait to use some of them. I chose to work with a trainer here, which was definitely a good investment in myself. Overall, it had everything I needed from a gym for me to maintain a healthy routine and lifestyle.
