Beginner Friendly Yoga was very enjoyable. Julie creates a calm atmosphere while offering motivational energy with awareness toward differing states of being within the group.
First class is free of charge.
I will surely be back for more!

Kathy and I have been really enjoying and benefitting the classes we've been taking under the instruction of Sarah Nelson at the Midland Yoga Collective. Sarah is engaging and instructive with a great sense of humor. We especially like the outdoor sessions the conducts (weather permitting) at Midland's Dahlia Hill.

A great yoga studio can be tough to find, but I've found a perfect one. Sarah's classes are excellent, with clear instruction that combines elements of physical therapy, Pilates, and traditional yoga.
As a creative who spends long hours on the computer, I especially appreciate her focus on releasing tension in the hips and shoulders. She also hosts beautiful outdoor sessions at locations like the Sunflower Festival and Dahlia Hill, which makes the practice even more mindful. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a mindful and therapeutic yoga experience.

My husband and I had a class with Julie while visiting the area from out of state. The studio upstairs was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Julie was very knowledgeable in her practice; she was also patient and calming. Julie was very helpful when we asked for local recommendations on places to visit before our class (via email) and after the class in person. I called the studio to ask a few questions about booking a class and they returned my call almost immediately.
Since we were traveling we did not bring any equipment and the studio had clean mats, blocks, and blankets for us to use. They had some organic yoga mat spray that Iβve been needing so I was able to purchase some of that for a great price!
If weβre ever in the Midland area again I will definitely be back to this studio!

I recently had my first beginners' yoga class at the Collective with Julie.
It was everything I had hoped it would be. I felt better by making the first choice of entering into the studio. Sometimes that's the hardest part is just getting there, especially for beginners.
I was warmly welcomed in and showed around, places things would be, studio practices/suggestions, and what to expect. She was truly there for us.
Julie provided perfect guidance throughout our session. It was a space and atmosphere I felt very comfortable in, which is a strange but wonderful phenomenon to feel in a space i've never been before.
Julie's short prayer for us at the end of class was the cherry on top. It got me right in the feels.
If you've made it to the end of this review, you're either here for the tea or you're on the fence on taking that step forward. I encourage you to take that step. It was well worth it for me. Plus, the first class was free, and much to gain, that's a really good deal.

I enjoyed my gentle chair yoga class with Sarah today. Suggested posture awareness/corrections made a positive difference in my practice.
I found the poses to be very similar to yoga remix. Since my balance is challenged right now, the extra security of a chair was welcome.
My back feels looser and more relaxed although some muscles seem to have βwoken upβ.

I was so scared to go to my first ever yoga class! I arrived early, and Julie Pierce was so friendly and encouragingβ¦showing me exactly what I needed to do to prepare. Thanks to Julieβs great way of explaining the exercises and techniques, the class was a bit challenging for me, but doable and fun!!! If you are not sure if yoga is for you, I would encourage you to see Julie. The calming atmosphere combined her calming voice was a totally beautiful experience. Iβm looking forward to many more classes with Julie!

An environment like a warm hug. I went to my first class, and it was lovely. Signing up was super simple, easy and low stress. The studio has independent instructors, so I can only speak to Julie (Iβm sure the others are lovely as well) but she was great! She welcomed me to the studio and helped me get all my supplies and ready for the class. Her instructing style was really in depth, and I learned a lot about my body and ways that I can stretch and modify poses! I canβt wait to go again!

Midland Yoga Collective is the best place to practice yoga in Midland. The studio is warm and comfortable, mats and props are provided, and the class fees are very reasonable. A variety of different yoga classes are taught there by instructors who are friendly and very knowledgeable.

I love this space! Not only is it a beautiful studio, but Sarah has the most lovely heart too. Her instruction gives you the "how" as well as the "why" which I find rare. Sarah understands and reiterates how our bodies are so interconnected with our minds, and reminds us every class that its ok to take up space in the world. She will have you walk out of there feeling like a Valkyrie, IYKYK.

Sarah is a wonderful, caring yoga teacher. She has expert understanding of the musculoskeletal structure and can guide you through any yoga positions, so you get maximum benefit without overstretching yourself. A yoga class is both as challenging and relaxing as you make them and Sarah provides an excellent framework within which to accomplish that. My wife and I enjoy her classes and are always glad we went.

Great vibe! I have attended the Hot Forrest yoga and yoga remix classes.
The instructor is excellent about teaching students to go at their own pace/abilities; it is not a contest. Also great at giving different options of challenge in the various poses. I look forward to class as it is not only fun, but also an island of calm in my otherwise hectic life

Sarah is a very good yoga teacher. I mostly do Gentle Yoga, as I'm past 70. But Sarah teaches several styles of yoga, and she explains things clearly and demonstrates everything. She uses therapy balls in several ways. She is very warm and personable, and I have enjoyed her classes.

I have been searching for a beginners level yoga class that I can grow into. Julie is an amazing instructor. She is calm and gives quiet, clear instructions for each pose and breath while coaching her students. I am 72 years old, have taken yoga classes previously and Julie is the teacher to help me grow back. I feel I can grow with her teaching.

The Yoga Collective is a well designed yoga space. I had not been in an actual yoga studio in several years, and I felt peace in the surroundings - shoes left in the foyer, classroom area free from distractions.
The class was helpful. Julie spoke with each participant about individual needs and passed out cards with yes/no whether we were all right being individually coached during the class. It was helpful for my own back concerns and I would not hesitate to return if the need arises.

I've been attending Sarah's classes for 2 years now. She encourages everyone to go at their own pace and gives multiple options to accommodate that. Go as hard or light as you need to that day, just being present and willing to try is enough. I always leave feeling satisfied with my practice.
