Move Detroit - formally known as a mobile group training service - is a gym that provides Personal Training, Group Fitness Classes, Nutrition Coaching, Cash-Based Physical Therapy & a welcoming community of like-minded individuals. We provide a unique workout experience & were founded by collaborating with some of the best local businesses to promote their products & services. We also have COLD PLUNGE & SAUNA amenities to aid your recovery after your workouts or whenever it is convenient for you!

I have known Logan, Jordyn, and Alex for many years. They have all been apart of my fitness journey, all of the different phases and injuries. I was beyond excited to hear that they were starting a brick and mortar gym. The opening of Move Detroit happened just before I finished PT following shoulder surgery so I knew the next step would be starting 1:1 training with Logan to help complete my transition back into full gym workouts. Logan is super knowledgeable and has been a great support all along the way. We were getting close to having me transition to group classes when I unfortunately injured my shoulder again, unrelated to training . Logan did not miss a beat in altering my workout plan to include therapy for my shoulder and continuing to include exercises for legs/cardio that don’t interfere with my injury. Without their support, encouragement, and expertise I would not be able to continue to show up each week and put the work in. Thank you all so much!!

MD has been more than a gym, it has taught me to love working out and has created such a fun group of friends/a community. Jordynn, Logan, and Alex are great and will focus on getting the best care you need. They give such a variety of workouts classes and some with djs which make it more of a fun time over a task that needs done!

Coming across a random pop up event with MD in November was one of my favorite things to happen. Not only did I meet some of my now favorite people, they’ve also helped me build a strong body I am learning to love & become so much more confident in myself. 🥹 You won’t regret giving a class/recovery session a shot & seeing what Logan, Jordynn, & Alex are all about first hand along with the entire community they have built & are continuing to build. The best place to train in metro Detroit! I have been working with Logan for a few years now and have made tons of progress. The workouts are approachable but challenging and Logan does a great job keeping it fresh with new movements. The rest of the team is great as well and there’s a lot of services they offer all in one spot!

Move Detroit has seriously helped me level up. I came in with tight hips and a pretty limited squat, and now I’m moving way better and squatting deeper and stronger than ever. Both Logan and Alex really know their stuff, and make the sessions fun and challenging in the best way. Every session is always personalized and the 1x1 is perfect.
I’ve noticed a big difference not just in the gym, but in how I feel day to day. Super grateful for the progress and can’t recommend them enough!

I’ve been going to Move Detroit for the past 2 months and I can’t say enough good things! All of the owners are so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in helping you feel your best. The workouts are always fun, challenging, and different—exactly what I needed to stay motivated.
As a new mom, it’s been tough getting back into a routine, but this gym and community have helped me stay consistent and accountable. The energy here is so positive and encouraging, and the space itself is beautiful!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Move Detroit—especially with Alex + Logan! I’ve been dealing with chronic tension and pain in my shoulders and traps for what feels like forever. After my first session with Alex, I woke up the next morning without any pain for the first time in ages. I could honestly cry from relief.
Alex took the time to do a full assessment and targeted exactly what was going on in my body. Through dry needling and his expert approach, he was able to release the tension that’s been holding me back for years. I left feeling so much lighter, and I’m genuinely amazed at how effective the treatment was.
In addition to seeing Alex, I’ve taken workout classes at Move Detroit with both Logan and Jordynn and they’re always incredible. The energy, the instructors, and the atmosphere all make for such a positive and empowering experience. I always leave feeling stronger and better than when I walked in.
This place is a gem—highly recommend it whether you’re dealing with pain or just want to feel your best.

Move Detroit is truly different than any other gym of its kind!
The classes are always rocking, the equipment is top of the line, the coaches and trainers are motivating and give excellent coaching instruction, and the vibes are high.
I have been working with Alex for a few weeks now, and I have already noticed significant improvement in my sports performance on the ice and on the golf course. I have been to several personal trainers and physical therapists to help with my knee dislocations and muscle imbalances, and it is evident that Alex has helped me more than anybody has before. With Alex, it is clear that he really cares about his clients. He always pays close attention and corrects form, and vigilantly makes adjustments based on your needs.
I highly recommend Move Detroit for whatever you need to achieve your fitness goals—they have it all!

Been working with Alex as part of the TPI program and physical therapy for about a month now. Currently recovering from surgery from a torn ACL and meniscus and I’ve seen more improvements in the last month than I have in the previous 6 months of traditional physical therapy.
My knee doesn’t feel like I’m hitting a wall when I try flexing it back for literally the first time since I tore my ACL.
Alex works with you to identify and work on your own specific improvement areas and limitations (not just general exercises) that are speeding up my recovery and making me feel more “normal” again physically. All while getting stronger and more mobile to help me with golf and general athleticism.
Definitely recommend to anyone trying to get better/stronger at golf and especially anyone recovering from any type of injury.

Move Well Detroit is seriously a gem. I booked my first appointment online—it was super quick and straightforward—and from the second I walked in, I could tell this place was different. The vibe is warm and calming, more like a wellness studio than your typical clinic. You can tell a lot of care went into making it feel inviting.
I’ve been seeing Alex for a few weeks now, and the difference in how I feel is kind of amazing. My mobility’s way better, and the constant aches I was dealing with are finally easing up. What I really appreciate is that Alex actually listens—like, really listens—and adjusts things based on how my body’s doing that day. No rushed sessions, no cookie-cutter treatments.

My teenager daughter trains with Jordynn and she absolutely loves it and the energy at Move Detroit. She has improved her strength, speed and vertical! Alex has been instrumental in helping with her recovery and mobility with the cupping, scraping and exercises. She was experiencing shoulder and elbow pain from long weekends of volleyball but after a few sessions with Alex she is feeling great on the court! His expertise and personalized approach has made a huge difference in her progress. As for me, I was having hip/hamstring issues for a long time, so I had a few sessions and then tried the dry needling. I was a bit nervous, but Alex put me at ease, was super professional and it feels 10x better. No more pain while working out! Highly recommend Move Detroit!
