A real gym where people get results. Itβs not the kind of gym where guys will do a set then kiss themselves in the mirror, or complement each other on their spandex. Itβs also not a gym where everybody think that their trainers or influencers. Everybody is not sitting around with their phones in the tripod taking pictures, keeping that area occupied so nobody else can use it. Itβs also not a gym where people are yelling and screaming. It is a real gym for normal people that want to workout and get their routine done.

I finally found a gym I love ,first of all there are more than enough equipment, which means no more waiting, hours are great ,the best thing I like about it,was it's not your typical celebrity gym.if you don't know what I mean is that it doesn't have narcissistic people and tripods all over the place for someone who wants their 15 minutes of fame, which means everyone here is friendly, respectful,and focused on their training.old school style gym ,not those typical gyms that end with fitness . If you don't believe stop by there and check it out yourselves,in the end you will determine what is best for you.

FANTASTIC! Thanks to Derrick, Zach, and Rudy for making this place so welcoming. One of the best gyms we have been to. I wish I was local so I could go here everyday. Tons of equipment, ample space, and the atmosphere allows you to put your head down and get it done! Whether you are a beginner or have been working out for years, I highly recommend trying out Oakwood Gym.

The best hardcore gym in the area, The weights feel true and not like other gyms where a 45lb plate weighs less then 45 lol. The vibe from the people are amazing, everyone is so friendly to each other, different from the commercial gyms ive been going to. They recently added a sauna and bro its so nice.

I love the atmosphere that feels permanently stuck in the late 80s early 90s. Some people may feel intimidated by all the serious weightlifting people that frequent at all times of the day but I've never had an unpleasant experience with anyone in my two+ years as a member and I'm very upset that I can no longer continue to attend with my new job in a different city

I like this gym alot. Closest thing to a powerhouse in my opinion, but yet it can accommodate the normal gym dwellers and not only the big lifters. Everyone is pretty friendly, easy to talk to, and just there to get their workouts in.

I paid for an annual membership during July and in August I found out that I had to move to a different state. I tried talking to the owner to get a refund back for the months that I wonβt be using their fitness, but he wasnβt helpful at all. They told me that itβs impossible to refund my money back. Am very unhappy with my experience at this fitness and I donβt recommend it to anyone.

Excellent gym with plenty of weight equipment. Dumbbell sets up to 200 lbs and real iron weights throughout. Was in here early on a weekend and it was not crowded but could see it getting packed during peak hours.
Looking forward to my next visit to family in the area to workout here again.

Spending 3 days in Detroit, looking for a gym equipped for a b.b. w.o, this was perfect. Good size, with every machine for leg/shoulder, back/bicep, chest/ tricep. Lots of cardio equipment including step climbers. Charlie keeps the place spotless. JUST right for a good work out. $10 a day charge. Loved it!!
