While the overall community of gym goers and staff are awesome the remodel was a joke. I was looking forward to what you did and was disappointed at best. The showers and lockers are smaller. Yes I know you want to accommodate for more people but you went from 4 nice showers to 3 tiny showers. I would have been fine with them if there was more of them. We dont need a changing area by the showers, thats what the locker room is for. In the future if you want to make improvements, ask the people to workout there not corporate. You'll get better results for your money that way

It has been four weeks sense they started the so called improvements to the gym. Monday was my first day back to the gym and what a total disappointment it was. I found only one thing that I would call an improvement. That one thing was the entrance to the changing rooms. Other then that I found nothing that was improved, but a lot of things that have been made much worries.
Lets start with the changing room which was the big thing they said would happen. Well they change it. You now have more lockers, but they are so small you can not get all your stuff in them without pushing it all in. Now remember this is Michigan so when winter comes in the next couple of months there is no way you are going to get all that winter clothing into one of those small lockers. Yes they have a few full length lockers, key word here is few. Next they took all the benches out, so the only place to sit is on a cold marble bench seat that runs around the room. It is cold now when winter gets here it will be really COLD. Also with this bench seat you end up sitting in front of someone else locker with no place to go. They have all this room and do not use any of it. Now to the showers, they reduced the number of showers down to 3 with less room. I was told by a handy cap person that their show did not work will at all and would get their clothing wet.
Now to the rest of the building, it is very boring. There are no picture on the walls to give you something interesting to look at. There is only one clock on the wall at the one end of the workout area. Makes it hard to time your workout if you can not see the clock. There are no TV's showing sporting events watch while you take a break from your workout. These things might seem small, but they help a person get through their workout and make their workout more enjoyable.
In general I find all of this to add up to a gym that is no longer enjoyable to go to and will make hard for me to continue with.
They feed back below says it all. The local management can not do a thing to fix any of this.

I used to love this gym until they “remodeled it”. I’m not sure why you take a perfectly comfortable locker room and turn it into a giant open space with no where to sit down. Then you remove the all in one showers to instead put changing rooms where my personal items are no longer secure and shower stalls where you can’t keep anything dry. Great job PF. NOT! You remodeled and added absolutely no value. If I could give you no stars I would.

The worst decision that this specific planet fitness decided to do was to streamline their showers. This was a reason I came here they had individual stalls within the shower, to set your stuff, change and a mirror. The showers had the best water pressure and huge shower heads on it. Now they have the worst showers I've been in at a planet fitness. The water pressure is so low, it barely even comes out of the shower head. You have to touch the tile where the water's coming out, which is gross, but you have to do that to even get the water on your body. I'm short and small, so forget anyone doing that's bigger. I can't believe they spent money to dumb down their facility. They really need to get some money back or change the shower heads. Because the shower heads are not working and the water pressure is so bad that it dribbles out.

I am extremely upset with Planet Fitness and their shady cancellation policies. I haven’t been going to the gym for months, yet they continue to charge me. When I tried to cancel, I was told I can’t just stop the membership — I have to pay just to cancel it. How does that make any sense?

They know I’m not using the gym, but they keep hitting my account month after month. It feels like a trap designed to squeeze money out of people who are no longer attending. The process is intentionally difficult, confusing, and unfair.

Planet Fitness markets itself as a “judgment-free zone,” but in reality, they make it harder to leave than it ever was to sign up. I would never recommend them to anyone — there are plenty of gyms that actually respect their members and don’t play these games.

I like this fitness center although my insurance doesn't carry them for Seniors. I love going here because of the Stair Master or the Climb Mill which I don't find in any fitness center where I live. They have different types of equipments from treadmills, elliptical, stairmasters, weights, etc.The problem is that they don't clean their sanitizer spray bottles and it's holders. It's crusty, dirty, filthy. Thinking about health risk with spreading germs and bacterias, sanitation, etc. Bottles looks so old. The spray. bottle holders, same thing. Seems like it was wipe since 3 yrs ago!! Their rolled paper in the same racks are not good quality. It turns into powdery thing when wet and wipes into the equipment. Imagine how many thousands of members paid $15/mo. or $24/mo. plus $49 annually? You can't afford to get better ones????? Managers or owner: check cleanliness, please? Or you don't care? OWNER: you need to go in to the place and see for yourself. These means: you don't care and you don't bother to check visually what's the customer/member are complaining about. Jusst all for the money hah

I've been a handful of times now and as much traffic as they get here, the place is consistently clean. With the teens getting a free summer, its really difficult to get anything other than an elliptical in the evening, regardless of the day. Thats a little annoying. But honestly theyre just trying to do the dang thing too and no one is bothering anyone so it still makes for a good evening. The staff is professional and helpful. I actually prefer it over the Kalamazoo locations. I definitely recommend this location.

This is a good gym for beginners. But I don't like some of their policies. You can sign up online but you can't cancel your membership online. if you don't cancel your membership onsite, they will continue to charge you. If you don't pay your bill they just keep charging you.

This 5 star review goes to an employee named Jeremy. My husband and I joined about a week and a half ago I think. We've been going every other day since. Our first day in the gym, we were thrown in there blind no clue of the facility. We came in last night with two of our friends that wanted to join with us. Jeremy went above and beyond, helping her and her husband join and telling us about the gym. He gave us more information last night than anyone else has since we joined. He was friendly, smiled, and actually was interacting with the members, not just standing behind the counter. If you need any help, or have questions he's your man to ask.

Always a pleasure to work out here at the Roswell PF (Old Alabama). They just need to better monitor the 30-minute workout area and keep those people that are lounging around with their cell phones off the machines. Other than that, it's clean, and well run. Bathrooms are always clean and orderly.

15$ a month with 60$ yearly fee to not be able to get a machine. The ratio of cardio machines to weight machines is way way way off. If you arent going to have enough weight machines, atleast one of the 4 employees on their cell phones could walk around and kick people off machines that are also just scrolling on their phones or taking selfies like pre pubescent children. Not to mention, the cancelation process of a membership should be illegal. Their app is real quick to let you spend money on upgrading memberships and buying merch, but you cant cancel your membership without going in person or sending them a "written request to cancel" should I send it by carrier pigeon as well? Junk gym, junk employees, dont waste your money.

Been here twice be it seems to be a problem every time I come 🙄 the first day I asked the staff member for time on the hydro machine and he gave me coins to the massage chairs, the second time I come some guy with a planet fitness baseball cap tried kicking me and my friend out of the 30 minute workout room before the light turned red and was very rude calling the desk and telling them the light hadn’t changed yet then magically it turns red after the call, I reported it to the assistant manager and instead of walking over to the guy and saying something he says he’s gonna check the camera footage basically brushing us off saying that we should say something when the incident happens…..I specifically said I

Love this gym! However, the new schedule is super disappointing to me. Juggling school, work and so many other obligations (like many others) the 24/7 flexibility was what I enjoyed most. Now I can’t get a 9PM workout in without being told every ten minutes that they’re closing. Which I understand to an extent. However, let me enjoy my workout that I paid for. (Which used to afford me even more time.)

Planet Fitness Battle Creek MI is amazing. High quality staff and facilities just like my experience at the Planet Fitness in Prescott AZ when I lived there. I always appreciate the friendly welcome when I arrive and "Have a good day!" when I leave. Would recommend to anyone living in the area, best bang for the buck!

It was great until my "home" location dropped to limited hours they're only 24/hr for three days out of the week, and as a 3rd shifter with a varied schedule it's not always realistic that I'd be able to go to the gym during their new open days and hours. I understand the place isn't super busy at night and it probably saves them a lot of money, but Its definitely something to take into account if you're in a situation like mine before getting any of the memberships. I did a review two weeks after the new time changes came into effect and received no responses to date. My review targeted the time change for Friday 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and how it has effected those with early morning start times for work. Those who worked out Mon. - Fri. are denied there fifth work out day Friday, because it conflicts with there work hours. I have come into contact with some of the members I haven't seen since the time change went into effect. Some have quit and others were put into a situation where they came later in the day and are now contemplating canceling their membership. Please tell me how fair this is to those members who work for a living? I would like to propose a time change to Thursday open 24 hours and Friday 12 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday would stay 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Staff is always friendly! The gym is so clean it almost sparkles! We are Black members so tanning and massage chairs/hydro message tables are included. After working out, I love the hydro massage because it is so relaxing! 7 minutes of pure heaven…my prize for working out. Planet Fitness is awesome and definitely no judgement!

This place is so dirty! The showers had pubic hair all over the floor. The employees behind the desk are constantly on their phones. The bulbs in the tanning beds aren’t changed regularly. Before I moved to Battle Creek, I went to the locations in Grandville and Wyoming. They kept it so clean there. Such a disappointment.

I've been coming here for almost 2 years and they have never fixed the showerhead in the women's shower. It's rarely clean, I've even found dirty tampons in the shower, clearly not the employees fault, but how are there not bathroom and shower checks done every 30 mins? Always have to re-wipe the plexiglass as it always has others residue baked on..which this one employees don't clean beds after each use, it customer responsibility and yes I clean my bed better than when I went in when I'm finished with my session. It was a very judgemental place. Every one was staring at me like I was in a freak show. Even the staff was less than helpfully about helping me.(this review was from 2017)

So I went back to planet fitness back in November2022. Much better this time and the staff was a lot better and friendly. Everything was super clean. I was working out roughly 2 times a week. The only reason I stoped going is my family wanted to go to the gym as well so we switch to the Y center.

I love PF but we only have 2 of the seated ellipticals. There are a number of people who want to use these pieces of equipment but often I’m not even able to get on one when I’m there. We have tons of regular ellipticals and treadmills - which are never all in use. Wish you could swap out some of those for more seated ellipticals.
