Was a member for about 3 years steady, changed banks so my membership lapsed due to the payment issue. I stopped in to pay it and then use the gym, however I had to use the bathroom really bad. So I run in tell them ill be right back up but I have to use the bathroom. Less then 3-4 min later I am back up at the desk and i tell them I need to go get my card to update my payment( along with my new account info I left in the car) The gentlemen on staff would not let me walk out wo checking my account since I used the bathroom. Tried explaining over and over that it will not be active until I updated payment( which was on my other phone in the car) I had grabbed my work phone by mistake.
He was so so rude, judged and embarrassed me saying I am not allowed to come in and use the bathroom( after being a member for 3 years??) And after that I will go down the road to crunch- decision made. He was nasty rude loud and I will never step foot in there again. FYi dont use there bathroom.

The only two things not open 24 hrs every day and me I'm on a fixt income and with planit not willing to change the due date for me most months I have no choice but I have to pay a late fee the 17th is hard to do but they do haven't stopt me from Haveing time even thoe I'm late so it always can be loosing our time till the first, thinks planit I'm not moving

Not to be a Karen or anything the guys great. Great people great staff everything. Me personally I would recommend seat covers for bathrooms in a gym don’t wanna sit an old sweaty seat. As well as hand free hand dryer and soap dispensers Ik people aren’t as aware of how dirty they can be especially at a gym all sweaty and yku have to go to the bathroom but other then that great gym

The staff at Planet Fitness Alpine is what makes it a five star gym! If you are older and feel nervous about going to a gym, start here. Every single staff member is respectful, kind, and welcoming. They truly make you feel like you belong every time you walk through the doors. I have been going for a year and look forward to every visit. The level of customer service is definitely 5 stars and most appreciated. My life is so much better because of these people! Just go in and talk to them. They will listen.

I was intending to join, but these gen z kids…….. Do you all have to act like it is the world’s place to do your job for you? How about this, when a customer comes in, sign them up! Ask them would they like to see the facility! “Download the app and make it easy on us all” is not a very good sales line. The only reason I give 2 stars is it looked to be clean and smelled fresh.

I made the switch to this Planet Fitness location earlier this year, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made — largely because of the incredible staff. From day one, Brandon and Mario made me feel genuinely welcome, even when I was just coming in occasionally. Their friendliness and great conversation always make my visits enjoyable, and I’ve never experienced that kind of consistent warmth at any other PF in the area.

Beyond the staff, the gym itself is fantastic. It’s always clean, the music is at a comfortable volume, and the recent addition of new equipment has taken things to the next level. I’m really glad I made the switch, and I plan to stick with this location for a long time to come.

Very often, the staff is playing music at a very high volume. Please stop FORCING your music on the people who are working out and listening to what they like in their earbuds - you're ruining workouts! I`m tired of constantly coming up to the reception area and asking to turn the volume down a bit. It is ridiculous! Come on, it`s not the 80s anymore; the customers listen to their own music. Management, please, enforce a low-to-moderate music volume and explain to your staff that not everyone is enjoying what`s being played at such a high volume. Thank you.

I have been paying for planet fitness for about 2 years now. Ive gone to many different locations. This has to be the worst location I have been too. I have the black card but they said they couldn't take it here. They did this twice. I had to pay a $20 day pass fee each time. Also, mid work out an angry employee came up to me and said I had to get out because I was wearing crocs?! Never in my 2 years and over 100+ visits have I been told I cannot wear crocs. The equipment is not good and the weight measurements are wrong. I do not recommend this location. Crunch fitness is much better.

This has been my home gym since it was built. Everyone is always friendly and attentive.
The new equipment and upgrades are great. I love the new benches that have weights and bands inside them so you don’t have to run all over the gym to get the equipment that you need. I love that they kept a few of the step up platforms from the old circuit room too!

Went here for almost 5 years, got banned over some false accusations with no chance to elaborate or defend against said accusations. This was a blessing. I found a better gym and will pray for Brandon, the manager, to learn how to manage better and the group that got me banned.. I pray you guys are happy, find strength, and find peace. I have been a member of Planet Fitness for nearly 5 years now. In all of that time there have been many managers that have come through but aside from being my favorite Planet Fitness and I have gone to a few of them, The Comstock Park store is my favorite because they finally got a manager that makes sure everything is done or is being taking care of before he leaves for the day. Brandon, the new manager, has been there for a while now, and the place has never been cleaner. Every time I come in to work out, there's always at least one or two employees cleaning up something that needs to be taken care of. Anytime there is a problem, he makes sure that it's taken care of immediately or at least within an understandable time frame. There's also the employees. They're super friendly and are easy to talk to. This, by far, is my favorite store.

Initially, our experience was great at this Planet Fitness. unfortunately, the manager Brandon has a severe temper and yelled at my husband multiple times in front of employees and planet fitness members. When my husband apologized for the complete misunderstanding, he proceeded to continue to yell at my husband. When I mentioned something to a couple of the employees, they said that their manager does have a hothead. We decided to call and cancel, but found out that we needed to come in to cancel so we went five days later, which was the 14th of the month. Due to the disclosure, which nobody reads, we were charged for an extra month because you have to cancel before the 10th, even though the charge is on the 17th. When I called I got a call center that can’t help with the charge and the manager obviously wasn’t going to help. Definitely a bummer.

They have a billboard on Alpine that says, "Cancel Anytime" but when I called to cancel my membership I wast met rude and immature counter staff that refused my request. They said I had to come into the gym and cancel in person, or I could send a letter in the mail. After arguing with two people on the phone and asking to speak to the manager, they finally let me cancel. Whatever experience I previously had at this gym has now been overshadowed by their rude and condescending staff. PF should consider hiring people over the age of 19 to handle customer service.

I've been visiting family in Western Michigan, so happy that the clubs here are clean with friendly staff. And so far, they've had some great amenites, my favorite is the Red Light Therapy. I signed up for Planet Fitness last month at the end of the month because I needed to get out of the house and be more physical. This is one of the only places open 24 hours so that was a nice added bonus. The gym itself is pretty clean and same for the locker rooms. The equipment was kept in good shape and they did have the sanitizer bottles and wipes for you. Other than that the service is poor at best. Unless you come in during the day when they have 18 workers there you're not going to see any workers or get any assistance at this location very often at all especially after midnight.
I only got to use the gym about six times in the last maybe 3 or 4 weeks. I was charged $3 and some change for the first "month" and then I was charged $43 for the following month which included some fees. August came and I was charged the $43 but then the very following week I was charged another $28.99. when I pulled up my app on my phone it stated that the following month on September 1st I would be charged $49. I was so confused to why I was being charged so much so I called and no one could explain the charges correctly everybody I spoke with gave me a different reason for the same charges. I eventually called and got the manager who also gave me a very weird explanation and also blamed the charges on me stating that there was a late fee because there wasn't enough money in my account. This was also a mistake on their side that they would not admit to since I had over $800 in that account at the time and there was no reason for it to not go through. I tried explaining this to everybody there and eventually got irate with everyone since they were not listening and blaming the problems on me.
I eventually canceled right then and there with the manager who said some very rude things under his breath to me. Me being a widower, It took everything I had not to jump over the counter and attack him. He then explained I was going to be charged the $49 yearly fee since I'm canceling after the 25th of the month. I plan on contacting Planet Fitness corporate directly since they obviously don't care that this manager / owner is just ripping money away from people. I literally got to use this gym maybe six times in the last month and apparently and being charged over $121. This is an absolute joke I'm only giving this Planet Fitness two stars because it's so clean. Beware of your bill don't believe any of the hype you are stuck in a contract and you will be charged through the nose and they will laugh at your face about it.
As you can see the owner's response is also a joke. They don't care who they take money from or if they were the one's in the wrong they just want your money. They don't want to make anything right or fix anything they did wrong. It's always the customers fault.

I'm a veteran who go to this location.It is a clean gym.The only thing that I don't like is when some people stare at me funny or stare at me period.Also I don't like when some people sit there on a machine and mess around on their phone and or conversate with other people and or
taking their socalled slow sweet time holding me up by not just doing their work out and get up being considerate of people who are waiting to use the machine.I also don't like when people take up two machines or take up two sets of dumbbells when other people need to use the equipment.Also the air inside be cold in the winter and some what been cold during the summer.But I think that they did somewhat worked on the issue of the air being a little too cold in the summer.

I’ve been to multiple different Planet Fitness clubs across the state. After my experiences at each of them, it is safe to say that the Alpine club is the best. The gym is always clean and well managed because of the excellent staff. Other clubs seem to leave equipment laying all over the gym and forget to keep the place dust-free. I’ve noticed that two staff members, Dylan and Randy, that go above and beyond every time I’m there. The are both dapper young gentlemen and deserve to be the face of the franchise. This used to be my favorite location to come to. I was out of town for a couple of months and sadly it seems the night staff isn’t what it used to be. The younger staff seem more interested in their phones, or chatting with their friends and coworkers. It seems to inconvenience them when asking for assistance or even approaching the counter. Awesome gym, always well stocked & spotless! Logan is always so polite, helpful & busy cleaning. I travel to a lot of other PF locations when traveling for work & this location is by far my favorite due to the friendly & hardworking staff!

I am a female teenager who has been going to this gym for around 2 months. I usually go twice a week (or try to). And also I think the physical appearance at this gym is great: they always have cleaning supplies to clean off the machines when your done. I love how they also have these big fans that keep the air moving so you don't get to hot. They also have quite a few TV's above the machines to. Sometimes I will bring headphones and plug/connect them to listen to the TVs through the machines if the weather is on or a show I enjoy. Next is the staff at the gym: I never really have had a negative experience at the front desk staff, they always seem pretty chill and cool. The only thing that is really dislike at this location is this personal trainer. I see him walking around with some one doing you know, personal trainer stuff. He usually wears a grey shirt with "TRAINER" written on the back in neon green/yellow writing. It's just the last time I was there he kept looking at me. I don't know what his problem was. I paused for a second on the machine that I was on to see if I was doing it wrong, but I was not. I sort of stared at him back, and he did the same. It was really awkward and I felt uncomfy. I looked away and thought to myself that he was probably just zoning out or something. But he turned his head and stared at me again. I then decided to go somewhere else and workout. If this happens again, I am going to tell the front desk.

Alpine location staff have been awesome, especially the manager, Brandon. They are welcoming, excited and helpful and totally make this a Judgement free Zone!

Usually clean, and the shower rings being missing was finally fixed after telling 2 people(1 manager) and several months of waiting. Very nice black card lounge.
