I have had troubles with my membership account for days. I thought, speaking to this location would get me somewhere. When I asked for a manager, the woman who answered the phone, LIED, said she was the manager. After talking to her, I thought the conversation was over, bc until my home location called me. This woman and the MANAGER falsely accused me of calling them retarded, but I have our conversation recorded. I have a heart condition and this really flared me up. I have been with planet fitness for over 2 years and have never been treated with such disrespect and illegally accusing me of things.

It is a GREAT facility. Well worth the money BUT beware:
I cancelled my membership June 28, 2025 -in person. Signed the paper, etc. I was told that I would be charged July and I acknowledged that. However, this month I realize I am still getting charged on my credit card! I called and spoke to Mgr., Landon, who basically said tough luck. So I ate $45.00 for nothing but he did e-mail an acknowledgment. Today: a $45.00 fee on 10/1 on my card! I called, spoke with “asst. mgr” who told me this was my annual fee and since I did not cancel (Ihad)membership until 10/8, I was responsible. Ummmm. Why would I pay an annual fee for a membership I withdrew 4 months ago??? No way am I going to let this stand. Warning to others!!!

I Love this place. A lot of anemities for a great LOW membership price. Today I returned and used the showers, very nice* relaxing? Used the HYDROMASSAGE, Red light Therapy, Tanning bed 13 for 9.5 mins., and just before bed returned the the relaxation pod.. i feel so much better tonight than I have in ages mos.. It's a good gym for the most part. I would even say the best in the area for general fitness especially for the price! I just feel like they oversell their memberships, depending on the time of day, there's way too many people in there. And they need to get rid of some of the cardio equipment as there's never more than half of it being used, And it makes up 1/3rd of their gym. They need to do away with some of the cardio equipment....at least 1/3rd! and replace them with the more popular machines/weights that are always taken up by other people due to selling to many spots in the gym. Other than that I would recommend it to anyone looking to get healthy.

I love the new machines but really disappointed they took out the 'yellow' section. (The 30 minute training section.) I know it might not have been used as directed, but I loved some of those machines, and the steps were really useful for a lot of different exercises. Now there's no equivalent. And all arc striders (I love, but) no ellipticals.

I went here because the Westnedge hours have changed and they were closed and this one is 24/7 at least at the time of writing this and honestly I noticed the equipment seems a little more up to date here compared to at the westnedge location. Either that or I just liked the ellipticals here better. Nice, clean location. I have been to a lot of planet fitness locations, they are all good, just an observation that this one is nice in the Kalamazoo area.

Spoke to Josh Friday and Landon this morning so planet fitness recently took two payments equaling up to $100 and I was on the holiday $10 a month special since Dec 28 they refuse to give an explanation for that and told me to just report to my bank as fraud because they won't refund me.. also they claim I came in 2 days ago and changed my contract which I never did and they also have no explanation for monitor your bank accounts dealing with these and beware of them restructuring your contract behind your back.. this is sad they have no accountability or explanations for what happened.. new update 3 weeks later to rectify the situation they sent some bogus $30 gift card that you literally have to make a purchase in order to activate.. so after all this theft they have the nerve to try to help one of there 3rd party investors some money out me too ... The wicked world we live in

If you are from out of town, BEWARE, the staff will single you out. I have been a black card member for over 5 years now and have been to locations all over the US. I am courteous of other members and the PF policies (i.e. judgement free, no grunting, no slamming weights). I make sure to wipe down all the equipment I use and try not to disrupt others working out. Today I was wrongfully accused of slamming my weights. When I told them I was not slamming my weights, they said the noise came from "my general area" even though at least six other members were working out around me. They were insistent that it was me even though they did not see and only heard a noise from "my general area". Save yourself time and the headache and GO ANYWHERE ELSE. In numerous previous reviews, for this specific location, other members have had the same or similar experience.

The social environment here is generally cool and the cleanliness at this location is superb with the amount of people that come and go. Employees are very helpful, understanding, and patient. Everyone leaves you to do what you need without interruption or fear of outward judgment. As a gym, this Planet Fitness more than exceeded my expectations when I found out they have a wide selection of tanning and massage options as well as many machines and equipment to allow anyone quite an array of exercises from beginner to well-versed.

Night manager (old man) I wouldn't go there If he is working. Some one drop their dumbbells and he thought it was me. He insulted me by screaming at me on top of his lungs. Clean with lots of equipment that range from free weights to individual machines, 30 min circuit, and ab/stretching area. Tanning beds and some red light therapy machine, message beds/chairs. My only complaints would be the fact that they only have one personal trainer who works during the day on a set schedule you have to sign up for. Their water fountain is like lukewarm water. I’ve never seen any staff actually cleaning machines or weights. Could just be timing on that though who knows. Overall I have the upgraded membership and it’s been worth it to bring my daughter and my man whenever they feel up to it. Honestly the pure amount of equipment they have alone is worth the membership.
