This is probably my favorite Planet Fitness in the area. It has a good amount of squat racks compared to the average Planet Fitness.

If you are an exhibitionist like me or just a plain voyeur then this is the place for you!

After a long HARD workout, you can wash off the sweat openly where all can see. With shower curtains leaving nothing to the imagination, even those who like to watch will find pleasure in the environment.
Don't like too watch? Too bad the urinals are positioned where you have no choice but to "accidentally" give into your base temptations. ;)

Don't worry this is a Judgement Free zone!

I recently returned to the gym after a break, and I absolutely love this location. They've added a ton of new equipment, which really impressed me. This is one of the best hotels I've ever been to, it's super super big, very comfortable, the bathrooms are super clean, it wasn't that crowded when I went, as a general rule I would give it a 10, the only thing I would add in my opinion is the name of the city on one of its walls, we travelers like that. I've been going to this gym for years. Overall I have no major complaints, but I was very dissapointed to see the stretch cages gone, and nothing to replace them, as they were a part of my daily routine, and really helped with my heath condition.

I've had my membership from the first day they came to Michigan years ago. I like the affordability, the convenience, and the cleanliness is decent. No problems in that area so far. Keep up the good work! I like being able to pop in during my lunch break for exactly a half an hour, get in my workout on all my machines and get back to work in an hour from the time I left work.

Walked in at 930pm on Sunday when you clearly close at 10pm to be told “you know we close soon right?” By the front desk woman very rudely. A half an hour workout is more than enough time to me but I guess she didn’t think so. We started on the machines right away and she was sure to walk by every 5-10 minutes to interrupt us and give us a count down until close. The last time she said “you know, 5 minutes and the gym is closed guys” so we got up to grab our belongings. At 958 they switched the lights off as we were walking out. The woman at the counter was nothing short of rude. It’s a gym, people come and go at their leisure! Get better people if 10pm is too late for them.

I recently visited Planet Fitness in Redford,Michigan for the second time, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional customer service and the cleanliness of the equipment. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and supported during my workout.

After 8 years, I canceled my membership due to the lack of conflict resolution/attitude of manager and majority of staff. This gym caters to teenagers. Frustrated with half-naked girls and the gym being a pick-up joint/meat market. I could never finish my workout due to teenagers lingering on their phones or taking up multiple machines during busy times. I have addressed all of the above issues with the manager and staff, and I am brushed off.

Edit: To reply to Planet Fitness, I'm sure it's not hard to miss the lady who puts her BARE FEET all over the walls/equipment, the group of four who take up 8 machines at once and won't let others use them during their 2 hr "circut", the couple who dry humps on the machines their entire workout, or the massive amounts of people who sing/have face time convos loudly. So I don't think the staff needs to be made aware, cause there's no way you can miss it.

Amazing I stopped in last night after work and of course it’s was mostly empty so I was able to move around freely to machines the restrooms were clean the worker at the front counter since I had started my membership online was very pleasant in helping me with the final details like take my photo so that it’s in the system and also so much has changed since I was last at the gym which was before Covid-19 hit so they no longer have the card you just have to download the app and check-in via a QR code that’s on the app very easy and convenient if I may say so myself over all I enjoyed my quick workout definitely will be back and I’m excited to refer any and everyone

The personal trainer Marcus is awesome! With his knowledge and patience, I was able to lose 100lbs to fit into my dream wedding dress in 2021. Marcus gave me helpful tools to use during the 2020 covid shut down so I didn’t back slide, and he is the reason I keep going back to the redford location. Marcus is very helpful and consistency is important to me so the fact that he has trained at this location for multiple years makes me more comfortable in the gym environment. Keep this trainer!! 🙌🏼

This is absolutely the worst Planet Fitness. Staff aren't very helpful so I stopped going months ago. As a result of me not using the membership, I decided to cancel. I spoke to a manager on 9/30/23, who informed me that he would cancel the membership immediately. He never mentioned anything about me being charged an annual membership fee of $39.00. Two days later I was charged an annual membership fee of $39.00. I sent an email asking for a refund as I had canceled the membership prior to the charge. After not receiving a response, I called and spoke with another manager on staff, who informed me they would not be giving me a refund. I would carefully read any contract that you sign with them, as the staff never informed me about an annual membership from the beginning of the contract.

Affordable? Yes. Plenty of equipment? You bet. Clean? Yes. But why are TVs literally everywhere like a sports bar? I can't speak for anyone else's workout routine, but I like to put my headphones in and zone out - I don't need to have like 6 TVs in front of me to distract me. The way we're all addicted to screens - scary. I found a different gym with better facilities, no TVs in front of the cardio equipment and is only 5 bucks more a month. PF is fine, just not my vibe.

This is a nice clean gym. The problem is the parking lot. There is always broken glass in the parking spaces and some cars have gotten broken into. Sometimes there are people (I assume homeless) hiding in the corner behind the door. Management states that there is nothing they can do about this issue. I really like the gym but don't feel safe or that my car is safe while there, so I will have to find a new gym to attend.
