The facility is actually pretty nice so my rating is a bit of a misnome. I'm giving it this score because I can't do just the people inside. But there is a short heavier set black women in there that butts in on conversations is extremely hostile and aggressive even when you back off. She was rude condescending and as I mentioned aggressive. About a conversation she wasn't even part of. Other than that everything else was great everybody else was great women the equipment is all brand spanking new so there's stuff for me to learn but it's clean it's sanitary it's well it's cool to ventilated I really like it. This might be a one-off maybe she was having a bad day that day not really sure but if you do see her and just be nice and friendly let's hope she gets a better attitude overall.

I recently visited this Planet Fitness while visiting the area and was called out for the cutoff I was wearing. There were women wearing sports bras with there midriff exposed but a guy can’t wear a cutoff. I don’t bother anyone, I go to workout. Management should really focus more of their time maintaining the equipment rather than bothering a member with what they’re wearing. Don’t advertise a judgement free zone when that’s exactly what you do. These policies are hypocritical and one can even argue, discriminatory. The dumbbells only go up to 60lbs at this franchised location.

I was giving wrong/false information by an employee. I was told as long as i cancel 8 days b4 the payment date 25th, i wouldn't be charged for that month. I came to cancel my membership and i am being forced to pay for an additional month. Planet Fitness has already gotten $200 out of me and I haven't been able to make it here. Now they gotten get $25.05 more smh. I asked to speak with a manager one is not able until next week and today is Thursday.

Please for the love of God Fix that smell coming from your molding leaking roof or you’re going to lose business. I came in as a guest of a member, the guy that so called helped us was so rude that l will never join!
It was a Thursday at 10:30 am on July 11th 2024! He face said it all the rolling of his eyes and the way he talked to me was very unprofessional to say the least! I've been going to this location 4 to 5 mornings a week since 2020. Every morning Jess and Heather greet me with a smile and warm welcome. The facility is clean. I'm usually pressed for time, but I can always get a good workout in with no hassle. Sydney is great as well. The entire staff, really. I am relocating to another state for work and today is my last workout here. I'm going to really miss coming to this location. It feels like home.

Very clean its a great beginner gym the weights don't go very high the only issue you'll run into it in summers when they let kids come in for free.
They'll come and just sit on machines and play on phones so your workouts will take way longer.

Definitely an upbeat place. Very clean and then desk clerks are very attentive. I always enjoy my hour work out in comfort. It's the "Judge Free" Zone so they keep the atmosphere light. They have cleaning stations spread throughout. It's easy to clean after your done on a machine. The locker rooms are also very clean. Remember to use the Black Card club benefits. The hydro massage table is amazing! Plus tanning benefits and zero gravity massage chairs. Makes one feel amazing after a great work out. Reasonably priced memberships. Try it for yourself.

Absolutely LOVE this planet fitness. I have been to several other locations and no other one has came close to this one. The staff members are always incredibly friendly and helpful. I've been coming here for about 1 year now, and this gym has the nicest staff I've ever had the experience of interacting with. They are nice, friendly, helpful and all of the other good things. I feel like this space is truly judgement free and they just want you to have the best experience possible. It's clean and always is clean, they do a good job handling the unsavory clientele and overall I look forward to coming here everyday and that is largely due to the staff. Been a long time since I got back to planet fitness. I really enjoyed that day Wednesday. Took that long hot shower. Did the bike twice 10 minutes for 68 and 5 minutes for 55. Did the legs 🦵 strength machine, try to do the hip adjustment but my right side just wouldn't take it so, I quickly got dressed and as I was leaving they had those two buckets up at the front of Tootsie rolls and fruitise rolls. It was a nice time!

I tried to take my 14yr old for the first time, and they said they need his birth certificate on file before he can use the gym. Ridiculous!

I allowed them to have my routing and account number (strike 1) for this membership and they have no pool, sauna, track, or gymnasium. (Strike 2)

However, the birth records request was enough info for me to cancel my membership.

I enjoyed coming to this gym for some time. It was always clean and employees seemed to genuinely want to help you. I then moved to another state and kept paying for awhile. But the nearest gym was over 40 miles away. I told the man at that gym that I needed to drop my membership. He said no problem. I explained my home gym was in Wayne Mi. He typed a few things in the computer and said he had
taken care of it. I went about life for awhile. Then I moved back to Michigan. I went into my former home gym and asked to rejoin. They said no problem. I retype all my info in the computer. Then used the gym. A week later I go in and am told I cannot use the gym because I owe them $158 . I will pay this this week but if you want to join this gym know ahead of time that YOU. MUST. SEND. A. CERTIFIED. LETTER. TO. DROP. THE. MEMBERSHIP. Wish I had known before having a very rude employee tell me this in front of other people loudly and rudely while shrugging her shoulders. Also other employees looking over as she does this. Ok if this is how they do business.

[SPOILER ALERT!] An Important & Sentimental Review: I've been a member of Planet Fitness for over 10 years, having had many locations serve as my home gym (Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Westland, now Wayne), and the best by far has been the Wayne location (I recently moved my membership in solidarity, although I have the Black Card and didn't need to); specifically the staff and the extra-level value they provide to the location. I myself have worked for similar customer-service positions over the years, and have seen employee dynamics which are 'corporate-cookie-cutter', and then ones where the employees themselves take true ownership or their role and add an extraordinary-level of value to their position, and the environment.

Aside from the pandemic, I have also had the loss of a parent in recent memory, and in a social climate where people have become quickly anti-social, adversarial or otherwise, what I've needed in my life sometimes is just is someone to talk to - sometimes about not just physical (but mental) health aspects of my life, and what hardships have befallen my spirit at times. This being said, from the early days of this location to now, I have found invaluable and personal support from the staff at this Planet Fitness location - Almost comparitively bizarre and unexpected to any other place I've frequented in my adult life, each and every staff employee has taken the time out of their shift/routine/responsibilities to lend an ear, and offer a plethorea of above-expectation experiences, encompassing attention, conversation, laughter and a genuine sense that they have an investment in me above a gym membership.

It's clear each and every visit I make to this location; there is often a line of people waiting to share in this unique and special experience, that this Planet Fitness staff provides its guests. Somehow they do this in a fluid, seamless way, and the location itself is always clean, maintained, vibrant and unapologetically 'judgment free' - In both quality and quantity the Wayne Planet Fitness supercedes all other branches in the area.

Thank you so much to all of the must-have employees that I've regularly interacted with at this Planet Fitness - Emma, Jazmyne, Austin, Dan & Cathy (honestly, everyone else there too!) - You have given me something beyond possibility, both motivating me to come to the gym every day I can to keep my health & fitness in-check, and somewhere personal & sentimental to look forward to each and every visit. Got a free early morning workout in when I was in town for work. Friendly staff, very clean, equipment are well maintained, not busy at all at 6-7am. Taking off one star just because they have way way way too many cardio equipment and not enough free weights/machines; but that's a corporate decision. Just came from this place. I feel a lawsuit with Planet Fitness especially tho one. You can exercise in peace. All you want to do is work out in peace and go home. It’s only at this place that I have a issue I always wear crocs never had a issue with any other Planet Fitness wearing crocs. I haven’t been at this location in years and whoever they have working there at this location are so annoying and racist. Leave me alone when I’m working out. If you get my money I should be able to workout what comfortable for me not everyone can t wear tennis shoes.I’m not wearing sandals they are crocs that I have a doctors note to wear. There was no sign at all in the building. The staff really don’t know who they are approaching cause today they approach the right one.
