I've been training at PT in the D for a little over a year now, and I can't say enough great things about the experience. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. Each one has shared real, practical insights in every session that have made a huge difference in my fitness journey. They're also super accommodating when it comes to scheduling, which makes it easy to stay consistent. I especially love the personal 1:1 aspect of the space, it’s welcoming and focused. I've been a client of Robert's since 2017 and since 2020, we've been doing largely virtual workouts. There's such a nuance to the workouts that Robert puts together for me - it not only increases my strength, but also helps me maintain movement, flexibility and balance. I've been doing virtual group workouts with Robert since 2020. It's been one of the few consistent forms of exercise I've been able to keep up throughout various ups and downs of the last few years. As a busy professional, I've always struggled to balance work and fitness. I've been a cardio junkie for years, but strength training was always a challenge. I'd tried other classes and trainers who seemed more interested in pushing me to my limits than meeting me where I was.

Tristen at PT in the D has completely changed my perspective on fitness. He's patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly motivating. He put together a unique one-of-a-kind fitness plan and chatted with me about some of my health goals. The facility has secure check in point, private bathroom, shower and changing area - perfect if you want to get a workout in before or after work. I've been training with Evan, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. I have done weights and conditioning sessions with them for years and most recently did a new recovery session that was a bit of breath work, targeted foam rolling, and a taste of Thai massage. I just completed three months of training with Sean at PT in the D, and the entire experience was outstanding. I had never worked with a trainer before, but after 10+ years of dedicated lifting on my own, I wanted to see if I could take my gains to the next level. Sean's expertise was exactly what I needed. I work out with Sean and he is amazing. I came to him with a stretch goal of building strength and muscle in 6 months. He built out a program for me that was tough and got the job done. I woke up on January 1 this year and felt good. I wasn’t panicked about my body and my fitness goals, nor was I in a shame spiral about unachievable New Year’s resolutions - that is largely due to my work with my personal trainer Sean at PT in the D. Since beginning work with Sean late last summer, I feel more in control, focused, and motivated about working out. For the first time in my life, I’ve made goals, stuck to them, and crushed them thanks to Sean’s encouragement. Sean keeps me accountable, which is obnoxious at times, but it has worked wonders. The PT in the D community has been pretty great, also. This isn’t your big box fitness center - everything is curated to the individual. I have been working out with Robert for almost 8 months now (mostly via weekly zoom session) and I am in a much better place than I was when I started. Robert has helped me work around various ailments and tailor a gym routine that works for me. i've been working with robert one-on-one since october 2018. i came to him plateaued on my own cobbled-together program, with elbow injuries that had been nagging me for a year and a laundry list of things i wanted (15 lbs of new muscle, the leanness of a greek deity) without much perspective on how to prioritize. he got me healthy by adjusting the exercise program, so i got pain free, and then we started building muscle, little by little. i have had really good results with him and i'm grateful for where he has gotten me, because i honestly can't say i would have gotten here on my own.
robert is a great coach, he is focused and stays with you during the session, he observes and tweaks form and knows when you've got another rep to give or when to back off. he prioritizes staying healthy but also knows when to push a little more to make progress. i workout on my own as well and those workouts are better by my understanding of the correct form of the exercises which i bring from my sessions with robert.
i am very grateful for robert's program style, i have been able to get to my "greek god" goal through a combo of nutrition and resistance training and i get to enjoy better mobility, functionality, and joy in my workouts and life in general from being stronger.
