Really love coming to class. Classes challenge you each time and modifications are given to help if you are recovering from an injury.
The socks and clothes selection are also fabulous!
They don't have too many of the larger sizes but will order it for you, if you'd like!

PBO is amazing. I am not a big fan of working out and was never committed. Yet, I joined to strengthen my core and help with my herniated disc and sciatica. It really works and my back pain greatly improved! PBO also helped with an old ankle fracture and stiffness. It is not a substitute for physiotherapy but it is a fun way to strengthen your muscles and improve your flexibility and posture.

I love Pure Barre Okemos. There are several class formats - from chill to "oh my gosh, how am I alive after that class?" I love Define - which is their strength class. The classes move really fast so it is an efficient use of your 50 minutes. The music is great, the instructors are all amazing, and almost everyone who goes is friendly and supportive. First class is free - give it a try!

Yes, I have noticed many physical changes from doing Pure Barre, but also have truly felt the mental/emotional benefits too! I am kind of a new person or maybe reinvented – who knows! I’ve been coming to PBO since I moved to Okemos! Love all the instructors here! They are awesome. I came during my pregnancy and 8 weeks after the delivery. The classic and align classes helped me with building strength and stretch, without too much jumping. Other formats of the class are great too!

Love this workout and the studio. I’ve been coming since 2017 and still really enjoy it. When I first started there was only the classic format and now there are 5 different styles Define is my new favorite. Heavier weights and go at your own pace. Only down side is classes/membership are on the expensive side. Instructors are very helpful. People are very friendly and welcoming.

I wish I had found Pure Barre Okemos (PBO) when I was younger, but I am so happy I finally found it! PBO is the perfect, low-impact workout. The workouts fit easily into my busy lifestyle with two young kids and work. The teachers make coming here a bright spot in my day and encourage us through tough workout segments like planks and cardio sprints. The studio has a great vibe, I dig the tunes, it is a welcoming environment for all bodies, and I love to lift-tone-burn at PBO!

I’ve been regularly taking PB classes for almost 10 years and I still love this type of exercise! There are wide variety of class types and even in individual classes, there is so much variety, so I never get bored! I pair this with short runs a few times a week and it’s the perfect combo. I’ve been coming to Pure Barre Okemos for over 2.5 years and I have never left a class feeling like I didn’t get an amazing workout. The instructors are wonderful and always know exactly how far to push you to get the best results for your body. There are several class styles so you never get bored. I wish I could give this place over 5 stars! I have struggled to stick with fitness studios/workouts in the past and have fallen more in love with PBO as time has passed. I searched for a fitness “home” for nearly 3 years living in the greater Lansing area and finally found it at Pure Barre Okemos. I’ve never left a workout class feeling as accomplished and built up as I have here. The workouts are great, 50 minutes flies by. I have been taking classes at Pure Barre Okemos for almost six months now and I am completely addicted! Pure Barre classes are by far the best exercise regimen that I have ever tried. It is difficult at first. However, after only 5 or 6 classes, I started to improve. After a month, I noticed considerable results in my abilities and appearance. I never thought I would be so flexible and strong! The instructors are all incredibly supportive, knowledgeable and friendly. No one who sticks with Pure Barre regrets it!!!

Excellent full body workout. I've been attending class for a little over a year now. Brought a friend with me to class last night. Her first time reminded me of my first time. It's confusing at first and transitions happen quickly. Best advice.....listen closely to the instructor (they'll tell you how to do everything) and stick with it. While no two classes are ever the same, there is a pattern to Pure Barre. You'll pick it up quickly if you attend regularly. No matter your age or fitness level, you can do Pure Barre and get a great workout.
Two years 1000 classes later.....I still love it. First workout that has continued to challenge me every day. The instructors continue to push you to get stronger. #pbobingo

During the lockdown, the studio offered live stream classes that saved my sanity!!! Then started parking lot pop ups when the weather turned nice!!! Three year update: Still my favorite workout and I am forever grateful to have had this space and these people over the last year. From parking lot pop-ups to virtual classes to strict in-studio precautions, PBO has kept client safety first and foremost throughout the pandemic and is always finding new ways to keep us motivated to hit that burn!

May 2021 Update: Still going strong and loving it! I recently completed my 1,000th class this year and am so so happy that the studio offered virtual classes through the pandemic (it was the only thing keeping me going!). There have also been a few new teachers who joined this year and I really enjoy taking their classes!
Spring 2020: Pure barre is the only workout that I have been able to stick with for a long period of time. I've been attending since 2014 and I love it! The moves are always changing and the instructors are great!

I had to check out why she thought this place was so awesome... fast forward to today...I was so impressed with the friendliness of the staff, their commitment to make corrections, encourage the class,& empower all participants... I've been working out at Pure Barre for 8+ years. I started when I was in my early 50's and I turned 60 4 months ago. I feel stronger and healthier than I felt when I was in my 20's! Pure Barre is a full body workout that results in major core strength. It has improved my ability to do other sports such as biking, hiking, water skiing and snow skiing due to a stronger body and more stamina. Pure Barre is an amazing, total-body workout that has me feeling accomplished for the rest of the day. The teachers are skilled at utilizing the music in a motivational way and suggesting alternative options within the workout if you have any physical limitations. It’s a bit of an expensive exercise but for someone like me who is prone to joint issues, the classes are cheaper than physical therapy and have helped build up my muscles and prevent further injury. The improvements I see in my body are definitely worth the investment.

Pure Barre is amazing! The staff, instructors and facility are all top-notch! There is something for everyone and you go at your own pace. The routines are creative and really challenge the body and are designed for you to get maximum benefits without being difficult. It only takes a class or 2 to really catch on and you’re hooked. I am a very busy person and what I love most about Pure Barre is I can get an amazing workout in 55 minutes. I’ve been a client here for over 3 years and still enjoy the challenge each class brings. To be honest I was intimidated when I started and thought there was no way I could do the moves I can now do. I love that the instructors learn your name and push you further into the work. It teaches you that your body can do anything if you let it. Push yourself to find that shake. The motto of Lift, Tone, Burn is real.
After 750 classes I continue to get the same challenging workout. You can modify to make the work more difficult or easier. You get out of it what you put into it. The instructors give great cues to help motivate and push yourself to the next level!

I've incorporated barre a couple times a week within my HIIT program and it's made a huge difference with helping to fight muscle bulk and create a lean tone. I moved to the west side of the state a little more than a year ago from a busy City lifestyle. Since being here in that little over a year I have packed on a whopping 20 pounds. When I found the Pure Barre studio in Okemos, around the corner from my work I was ecstatic. For a girl who regularly works out but doesn’t consider herself dance savvy, PB offered me a different dynamic outside my normal workout routine that pushes my limits without feeling impossible. I just started going to Pure Barre Okemos a little over 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. The studio and classes have such a fun, supportive, and welcoming environment. Everyone there wants to see you succeed and do your best. I really enjoy the class and the feeling I have when I walk out afterwards. I always feel sore and accomplished thanks to the awesome teachers.

Pure Barre Okemos is one hour where you can completely turn off life and focus on the health and wellness of your body. It will push you to your limits every class and you will leave stronger (mentally, physically, & emotionally).
With a low impact, high intensity workout, it is truly made for everyone. I put off attending a class for months because I'm not a "dancer". If only I knew I didn't need to be a dancer to join, I would have joined sooner. This workout is made for everybody.
Not only will you become obsessed with the workout, the instructors are AMAZING! Each instructor brings her own unique spin and energy to class. Try them all. You won't regret it. The Pure Barre Team and all the clients will help keep you returning back for more.

Pure Barre is a high intensity, but low impact workout! It takes some time to understand the technique, but worth the time and effort. The teachers at the studio are happy to answer any questions you may have, you just need to ask them. I appreciate that the class is fast paced and no class is ever the same. The music they play helps motivate you to push you to fatigue. I have noticed longer and leaner muscles. It is definitely worth giving a try!

Pure Barre is an amazing workout experience! Using your own body's resistance, you'll be surprised by how challenging the work is. Pure Barre is a low impact, but high intensity work out that creates dramatic change in you body. The studio is clean, and all equipment is provided for you at each class- all you need to bring is a water bottle and pair of socks to wear in the studio. Music plays throughout the entire class, keeping you energized and in the zone. The instructors are great and and create a welcoming and supportive environment. Knowing each client by name, they have a way of motivating you through the class and acting like a personal instructor. I have recommended pure bare to several of my friends, and now they're hooked!
