Renaissance Group Fitness is Detroit’s New Center hub for small-group strength and conditioning. We offer coach-led classes designed for every fitness level from first-timers to advanced athletes covering endurance (BURN), strength (BUILD), recovery (UNWIND), mobility (GRIND), and kickboxing (STRIKE). Our workouts aren’t random; each session is programmed for progress, safety, and measurable results. Led by Coach Oren “O” Basse, our team ensures you never feel lost in a crowd. Every class is capped for personal attention, scaled to your goals, and supported by a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere.

I have trained in many gyms and private studios over the years, and I am so grateful to have found Renaissance Group Fitness. O is the most attentive and qualified trainer I have ever worked with. His expertise and dedication shows in every session. He consistently provides precise form corrections to prevent injury and ensure each exercise targets the right muscles, all while pushing you to improve with every rep. The variety of classes offered ensures you're never bored and the class schedules are accommodating to all work schedules. Since joining, I've seen real progress and finally feel confident that I can actually achieve my long-term fitness and health goals. I highly recommend this studio to anyone seeking knowledgeable guidance and a motivating and supportive training environment.

RGF is fantastic! I have trained at many places around the world and Renaissance ranks among my favourites. Coach O's experience and expertise are obvious, from his comprehensive programming to his cues for form during exercises. For me, this is the best in the area and I will continue to return... I have only taken six classes and can already feel my body building up better. Also, the playlists and vibes are +++.

Renaissance Group fitness offers some of the best fitness classes I have ever experienced. I have been attending the “Burn” class for five weeks now and I’ve noticed a nice change in my weight and clothes. Thanks to the great Instructor Oren”O” who holds me accountable which is everything I’ve been looking for in my weight loss journey

I took the Explode class at Renaissance Group Fitness while visiting Detroit, and it did not disappoint! Coach O was an excellent instructor. He pushed me outside of my comfort zone while making sure my form was on point. The workout was challenging but motivating, and I left feeling stronger and energized. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip!

I have been to a few of the classes tought by Oren and it was amazing! He's super motivating, knowledgeable, and brings great energy to the workout. The classes are tough but worth it, and Oren made sure everyone felt supported no matter their fitness level. Definitely looking forward to the next one!

This gym is great!! I hadn’t been in a gym in a few years so with the xtra lbs., health conditions and a good ol’ case of major insecurities, I wasn’t sure that it was for me. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Oren is understanding and a wonderful listener that has no problem with telling you enough talking and more working lol Politely of course. I was comfortable and finally felt like my fitness journey was achievable. Clean and safe atmosphere and Delilah is a major plus. 10/10 I HIGHLY recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about this gym and especially Coach O. The space is clean, well-equipped, and welcoming but what really sets it apart is the coaching. Coach O brings his wealth of knowledge, motivation and genuine care for my progress. He knows the ins and outs of every move and the human body’s muscles. He pushes me each class. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced he will meet you where you’re at. I highly recommend this place. Coach O is the best of the best.
