Fitness should be fun! Our aerial silks and aerial yoga classes are for people who'd rather be amazing than mundane; who are ready to take a break from focusing on everyone else and spend some time on themselves; and who are looking for enjoyment and interest in their fitness routines.
Our classes are separated by level of experience and ability, so you can start your journey at level zero and work your way up to the literal ceiling, even if you've never done a pull up in your life. We're here to help you prove to yourself that you absolutely CAN do this!

Communication was extremely slow to non existent when I sent questions via email and text. The studio needs a deep clean and the aerial silks need to be washed because they stink of sweat. I would give all of that only one star but the yoga instructor is very good so I gave two stars.

Been coming for around four months now for Silks first and then switched to Lyra. Lilly is an awesome instructor who gives tons of variations for the variety of skill levels in her classes (from beginner to advanced). I really appreciate that she always makes sure we get a bunch of time on the hoop and and let’s us come a bit early to stretch before class starts. It’s nice to always have a few moves that feel challenging in class. It’s also nice that the group that comes is pretty consistent so you get to know everyone.
I wouldn’t recommend for people who want a very fancy or quiet environment (it’s a no frills place with the occasional child running around). But I think the quality level of instruction and flexibility to book single classes make it an awesome option for aerial.

The backbends workshop was amazing, I have been tryna ng them at home for a while and I'm one class I felt so much stronger and made a significant improvement in one class. I always love the classes there. The teachers are willing to break things down to an understandable level and everyone is so supportive. I always leave energized and excited to come again!

Christina and Deanna were great, however, I didn't enjoy getting trash thrown at me by a screaming kid with a knife (no one tried to stop this). I won't be back

This is a very affordable place to join your aerial silks or lyra journey. The studio offers a range of classes from beginners to advance. They're extremely welcoming and non-judgmental! The instructors are hands on to help you learn the proper techniques.
They made the transition of studios after I moved very easy and helped me get back into the swing of things, literally!

First time going to any fitness class in several years. I certainly underestimated how out of shape I am and was winded fairly quickly in their intermediate aerial silks class. That being said I'm inspired and will be switching to the beginners class for next time. Might also try the aerial yoga. Sammie, the instructor was very kind and helpful and certainly knowledgeable about her craft. In my teens and twenties I had trained with a couple of highly professional aerialists and I felt that her teaching was excellent. The other students were supportive as well, making for a good experience despite not getting the most I could out of the class.

My 14 year old started coming here three weeks ago and loves it. Great cross training for her primary sport while also being fun and different. All the instructors have been so welcoming and supportive.

This place is amazing and the teachers are very knowledgeable… but please add more Lyra classes… I did the intro offer (4classes for $40), but because they only have one Lyra teacher and two classes a week… and classes are fully booked two weeks in advance. We’re only given 30 days to use all four classes, so I had two weeks to use all four classes… I wasn’t even able to use the fourth class. I chose not to continue because of this, if I were to get a membership- classes are too booked to be able to use the membership. I do still go to open gym which is nice, but then I’m stuck with TikTok and YouTube for actual instruction and learning.

I’ve been going to Ringstar on and off for around 5 years now and I always love it. The place is so great! Diane is super wonderful, and their prices are reasonable. If you’re looking to start aerial or any other fun thing they offer, it’s a great place! I always recommend

The most accepting and affordable fitness studio in town. Ringstar is a safe space. A great place for adults to let their inner child be free.

I went to stunt camp here in 2022, all i can say is that it had everything I could ask for...prop guns, FOG, swordfights, special effects makeup, LIGHTSABERS, even filming movies! And of course...BOB! 👊
It is affordable so please sign up for your kids from 8-17 I think. -Noah

Literally obsessed with this place!! I've taken classes with 2 instructors, Diane and Lilly, and they both provide thorough explanations, have a great attitude when asked to show a move many times in a row, and take care to give individual students specific instruction when needed. They are also very receptive to the class's desires, I appreciate how they often ask what sort of things we want to learn that day & then incorporate it into the lesson.
As a child I had a lot of gymnastics experience, so I was already quite comfortable being upside down & maneuvering in mid air, and I LOVE that I immediately learned skills that were truly challenging and felt super impressive. Diane has an intuition for what level class newcomers to the studio should be in, and absolutely does not take a one-size-fits-all approach to progression.
I also love that there are ample opportunities to perform, and with how many different skills you're learning you're definitely going to want to. For our showcase this past March, Diane offered private lessons and worked with me to create sequences that matched my music/routine beautifully. The individual attention shown to each student is astounding.
Safety is also always a big factor during instruction. Several mats are available in the studio, and Diane and Lilly always emphasize the do's & dont's of making sure a skill goes smoothly, and if possible, provide modifications to make it 100% foolproof.
Scheduling is also very flexible, and trying to fit classes into a busy schedule is surprisingly easy. It's also remarkably affordable, and alternative payment plans/options are available to those who need it.
Two words to describe the atmosphere of the studio are "chill vibes". I've only been coming to Ringstar for around 5 months, but from day 1 it's felt like less of a "class" and way more of a community. Everyone I've met is unbelievably friendly and I look forward to seeing the people as well as being on the silk every time I come here. From the second you arrive at the studio, it's impossible not to feel overwhelmingly welcome and accepted.

Ringstar has high ceilings for good acoustics and thick rubber mat floors to make it very comfortable to dance, do yoga or just roll around on. It’s also nice that the parking is ample and free, especially in A2. The Detroit & A2 Ecstatic Dances held here are so heart warming and fun. The light show, the music, the dance community and consent based, safe space make people feel welcome and invigorated. Opening circle before the dance gives people a chance to connect with themselves and others and share personal desires and boundaries so everyone can feel comfortable. Photos were taken before the dance started.

Affordable, great student to instructor ratio, and challenging - Ringstar Studio is a fabulous place for Alreal Yoga and Aerial Silks. I have attended both classes over the past few years and love it. There is plenty of free parking; the studio is both airy and comfortable.
This is a no-frills workout place. So if you are looking for a smoothie bar, sauna, or fancy lounges, this is not the place for you. If you are interested in a full body workout with quality silks and heavy duty safety equipment hanging from the ceiling, this is the place for you. The best part of the classes here is that anyone from beginners to advance can attend. The classes are flexible and easy payment options and plans.
I started up aerials on a middle-life crisis lark and haven't looked back. If I could "fly" every day, I would.

Diane and Beth are amazing instructors. As I walked into the Ringstar studio as a clueless beginner, I felt very welcomed. The classes are small and I benefitted from having one- on-one instructions. I attended many fitness studios but this is one of my favorites.

Ring, ring......hello?
I've been calling this business and have left text messages like the recording asks you to do. Is this business still open or has it closed? I have a few questions about your classes. Can someone respond please?

I was looking for a fun way to keep up silks skills while on vacation, and I'm so glad I picked Ringstar. I was amazed at how much instruction Amelia fit into one hour. I learned several new moves, transitions, and creative combinations. I felt like I definitely got more than my money's worth, and everyone was very friendly. The fellow students were helpful and supportive. It was a mixed level class, and I was amazed at how well she did taking lots of time for beginners while giving experienced students something new to work on. The gym was minimalist, warehouse set up, but that didn't bother me.

I honestly have nothing good to say about this business. I went here for a fun new experience with my girlfriends and although we enjoyed our time together it had nothing to do with ringstar. First when you walk in it reeks of old disgusting feet throughout the entire gym, there’s no way they clean the mats regularly because all of our feet were black when we left, the “instructor” Diane is a joke she did barely any instruction and was so rude i was shocked she would do the move 1 or 2 times then move on to a group that was there who clearly were not beginners and we were in the beginner class. I definitely recommend you find any other silk Ariel class in Ann Arbor

Went there as an athletic dude and had a great time. Parking is great, and the studio is humble. The studio is on the backside of a long building. I did aerial silks beginner. The tempo is set well from easy to increasingly more difficult moves. If you're open minded and want a gymnastic thing to do, give it a try!
