I just discovered Showtime Gymnastics and I wish I would have sooner! My son has so much fun at open gym. Personally, my favorite night of the month is date night, 2.5 hours kidless for me and a tired out kid when they return. The staff is super friendly and always make sure the kids are safe and having fun.
ETA: my son is biracial and has never been treated differently.

One reviewer said kids get out of it what they put into it. I disagree. Instructors not paying attention to the kids who are obviously struggling does not foster an environment conducive to learning. My kiddo was excited and practiced at home relentlessly, but was frustrated she wasn't progressing in the class. Sitting in on the classes, I noticed her instructors standing around talking to each other or playing on their phones after showing them their exercises, not helping kids who obviously needed it. This was true of the young instructors to the head honchos, until it came to older, advanced students. It was apparent dedication was only rewarded if you could persevere through years of disappointment. We decided not to waste our time and money on that and enrolled her at MidMichigan gymnastics, where she learned more in two weeks than an entire year at Showtime.

My daughter loves it here. She joined the gymnastics team after not progressing at another gym. She has learned a ton. They will let your child learn new skill and progress. With this sport you get out of it what you put into it, and my daughter is very focused. The coaches have been supportive. She had a great first year on the team and plans to continue her time there.

So at first this seemed like a good extracurricular for my 5 year old son but after a couple months I’ve realized this place is extremely unorganized and the staff is rude. I don’t know any of their names because they don’t care to introduce themselves or speak to the parents at all. It seems to me like if you’re not doing the gymnastics and tournaments they don’t really care or put any effort into it, I actually felt like we were a burden to them. Younger teenage girls are “running” the ninja class I had my son in and basically they just stand around the entire time and either play on their phones or talk to each other, while giving the kids no attention or direction. I’m extremely disappointed that I paid money for this. Super unprofessional
