multiple reviews and complains on the internet about the owner overcharging and refusing to refund. i’ve called over ten times in the last year to receive a refund on 9 months of overcharge. i’ve received $60 (2 months) back. owner claims to be on lunch break everytime you call, if he picks up the phone at all. be very cautious.

Very nice experience with Snap. They were a flat $30/month and it was very very clean. It was also hassle free to cancel my membership when I couldn't go anymore. The man was very nice on the phone, no making you come in person to cancel, or weird contracts to buy out.

Excellent gym! Clean, maintained, & secure. This gym has everything you could possibly need to improve or maintain your physical fitness. The owners are diligent in keeping everything clean and functional. Unlike Planet-pizza, this place has actual free weights, barbells, squat rack and deadlift platform. Staff is available by phone and prices are reasonable. Go get some!

Well worth the cost. Well equipped and very clean. I also like the variety of classes offered. The staff has always been helpful and very nice. Snap in Mason, MI is also one of the roomiest Snap Fittness locations I’ve yet to see.

Spent a year at another gym and returned to Snap. Still very satisfied and super happy with Snap in Mason. The owners really do take pride in a clean and orderly environment. The clientele are all friendly and helpful. Great selection of free weights and machines I can ALWAYS get my workout in no matter how busy. Best part is the owners actually respond to requests and suggestions. That’s highly appreciated.

My husband and I flew in from out of town, and called the day before Thanksgiving to see if we could get guest passes. The owner and his wife met us there personally the day after thanksgiving to get us guest passes. If that’s not quality customer service, I don’t know what is. The facility was clean, and was being cleaned while we were there. Equipment was well maintained and had what you needed for a successful workout. We will be back here every time we come visit my mom and would highly recommend this gym to anyone.

I have always loved this gym in Mason. I always tell people to go here because it’s nice and really clean and a great place to workout. I moved to Traverse City two months ago and the closest Snap Fitness is 48 miles away so I called to cancel my membership at this location. Every time I have called the gentleman on the phone tells me her canceled it and I’m good to go. I kept getting charges on my account for the gym after they told me that it has been canceled. I have called this gym five times to cancel due to charges on my account because they failed to cancel it. I finally today called again and the owner answered. He then proceeds to tell me he can’t cancel my account because I have a balance of $50 on my account but the reason it is on my account is because they did not cancel it when I asked! I have not been there for two months. The owner of this gym made me feel like I was wasting his time with this issue and made me feel like he simply does not care about his customers at all. I have been in customer service my entire career and this is not how you treat a customer that has an issue especially when the issue was caused by your gym. He threatened to send the $50 to collections even though it was their fault it was on my account. I would not recommend this gym to anyone I would go to the Haslett or Charlotte locations simply because the owner in Mason does not care about customer service I could only imagine how he treats his employees. At the end he did say he would pay the $50 because this is not worth his time again trying to make me feel unappreciated as a customer. I will remove this review the owner calls me without being rude and condescending and does not threaten me with collections due to their error very unprofessional.

Nice equipment but a lot of things don’t seem to be kept up, and the tanning booth looks rigged up. If you’re looking for a family friendly gym DONT spend your money here. They will NOT let you use your family card, and the manager is very rude. Not worth 60$.

If you like to see one of everything like one weight bench, no place to walk laps, no pool jacuzzi sauna, no mute button for the lady who can't hear and has the tv blasting over yours, and old man that lies and can't remember what he told you when you signed up. Then this is the place for you. If you want everything that they don't have for the same price. Then go to YMCA. It's pathetic what they charge and what you get. And you have to buy your own $26 key card on top of that! Another lie. Motels have the same concept for door entrance and they give them away. Oh and be sure to bring an extra pair of shoes be ause thier to cheap to clean behind you.

Ripped covers on the machines/benches, the decline bench is missing two feet that stabalize it so it wobbles all over the place, and one of the machine's weights scrape against the plastic covering. All of these issues have existed since I started going there 4 months ago. They don't care about maintaining their gear whatsoever. Find a different gym if you can.

I love coming here. It's clean, reasonable, and the work out area has plenty of variety. I attend Frazier's HIIT class in the mornings, and these classes are open to men and women of various age groups. They get you fit while having fun. Snap Fitness is a great gym and I highly recommend it!

I have been to a lot of Snaps and enjoy them but this one is horrible. I walk in and am not even acknowledged. It just seemed very dirty and there was a smell. The benches have rips in them and everything just felt grimey. And there are signs up saying you will be charged $25 for this or that (dropping weights, not changing your shoes). I understand that but maybe just have signs that state "please don't drop your weights" or "please change your shoes". Not friendly or welcoming at all. Drive a few miles up the road and go to the Holt Snap! Much nicer and friendlier.

There are 2 good eliptical machines that have signs on them stating they will be replaced in 8 weeks because they are broke. It's been at least 6 to 7 months! I also go to the one in Haslett. The machines, equipment, and gym in Mason are not maintained or cleaned as they should be.

My now-wife joined to lose weight before our wedding. After several months of going she decided we could save money by working out at home, so she cancelled. We have been getting charged monthly ever since and even after several calls the payments have not stopped. So basically I'm now paying $35 a month to NOT have gym access.
