I had a great time at this sports arena! It’s a clean and well-maintained space with plenty of courts for different sports. SPARC Arena is a great indoor facility with a lot to offer. They have courts for badminton, volleyball, pickleball, and even cricket. The space is massive and well-lit. I really like the variety of activities and the option to get different kinds of membership. They even offer dancercise and yoga classes. The only downside is it can get a bit crowded during peak times, but it is a fun place to be during those times. Very energetic!

went for open volleyball on a Friday, which is what the website says. After calling 5 times throughout the day to confirm they were having it, I drove 45 mins to get there thinking they would have posted something if it was canceled just to see signs on the door that it was in fact canceled for the night. Asked the gentleman at the front desk how I would have known as a new person coming that it was canceled he said they put signs up in the arena and sent emails to the members…… that doesn’t help any new person coming. Make sure you post the dates it will be canceled for all to see, or maybe answer the phones so you don’t waste peoples time. People don’t want to show up to find out you’re not having it.

A notice board should be maintained in a common area at Sparc Arena to keep everyone up to date. Most working professionals come to Sparc early on Saturday and Sunday mornings to enjoy their game, even though it’s challenging to arrive by 7 AM after a long workweek. However, it is frustrating to arrive at 7 AM only to find the courts closed or the opening delayed. Additionally, we cannot always check the website, as Google often displays only the regular timings. Please ensure that all members are informed about any schedule changes to avoid such issues.

03/16/2025: Sparc did not even mention that the court is closed for open play during the morning session. They increased the membership fee and close it without prior notice for members but they secure their non members play time ( reserved play) for their profit. Unfair practice.

Nobody follows the rules and the management doesn't care to enforce them. Kids doesn't know they need to take turns using courts and their parents doesn't even care to teach the basic etiquette to the kids. They posted no badminton feeding during weekends but people keep others waiting without minimum courtesy to share the court with other patrons. If management is reading this please get the things straight and enforce the RULES. Lot of other patrons share the same opinion. The front desk people are clueless on how to operate the equipment they made available for us .. we travelled all the way from Ann arbor to play cricket using the feeder and no one from the front desk or the management helped us to make that feeder machine run.. we are paying them but they dont take enough ownership as we asked them to help on this they never turned up or have the minimum responsibility to let us know that they cannot help on this matter. It is only when we are done playing and returned to the front desk they responded saying they have no clue how it works and cannot do anything.. Why have people at the fromt desk who cannot manage stuff and have zero knowledge of the fancy equipments you have in the store ????? Wouldnt recommend anyone to visit this place .Note: the front desk old lady does nothing ..

I had a great badminton lesson with Bruce today. Highly recommend studying with him as a beginner—he is super patient and fun 10/10. I learned a lot of skills in just an hour, making it worth the money. However, the environment of the court is unbearable without any air conditioning, especially considering the membership fees. The facilities are nice and new, but I wouldn’t return until they implement air conditioning.

Exceptional Coaching Experience

I recently completed my third session with Coach Bruce, and I am thrilled with the progress and experience so far. Each session has been nothing short of superb.

As a 55-year-old female with minimal experience , I had gone through the transformation from being low on energy in my mid-40s to be able to play pickleball daily, and I was searching for a sport that could push my limits. Coach Bruce has certainly provided that challenge. His deep knowledge of badminton and impressive ability to convey techniques and strategies clearly and effectively have been instrumental in my progress.

I've noticed significant improvement in my body posture, and the training has also helped to loosen some tightened spots that are too deep to reach normally. This physical transformation has been a delightful bonus to the skills I am developing on the court.

The training environment is encouraging and supportive, making it a pleasure to learn and practice. I appreciate the constructive feedback and the motivation to push my limits. Now it is summer, the heat is a bit overwhelming, nevertheless it didn’t bother me.

I highly recommend Coach Bruce to anyone looking to improve their badminton skills, whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your technique. The quality of coaching provided is outstanding, and I am excited to continue my journey under his guidance.

Decent place for badminton. The place does not have air conditioning according to the front desk. So if you come on a hot day, you’ll leave medium rare.

Edit - 1 year later still no air conditioning. Above 75 degrees inside the facility and players sweating in gallons.

Used their badminton courts on Wednesdays where it's by reservation only. Would recommend making reservation during "Non-Open Play" days. They do offer some discounts for longer reservations if made as recurring every week.
Courts are well maintained and the staffs are courteous.
Lighting is not ideal in few courts with the overhead lights causing good amount of glare while receiving long shots, so our group prefers courts 1-6 as much as possible.
This facility also has volleyball courts, table tennis and cricket nets.

4/27/2023 - Still overcrowded. HORRIBLE!! NOT MUCH IMPROVEMENT. Limit the stay to 2/ 3 hours Mon- Thu evenings. Have signout procedure and charge $1 per min for overstay.

Over over crowded on Tue, Thu and Fridays!!! Out of 9 courts 1 is occupied for training until 9pm. There are atleast 12 people waiting for 1 court. Owners are greedy and set stupid rotation rules. People jump courts and there is an argument every single day. Honestly thinking of canceling the membership. Any investors out there...you see the demand, open up a similar place and I am sure you can break this monopoly. And there is Telegu speaking discrimination as well!! Rules are changed to suit the situation. And on top of all the chaos, there are Pros who are a group of probably 16 or 20, who play for 4 - 6 hours, without letting any outsider join in, and keep two courts for their own group until facilty closes. So 6 courts left, out of which 3 on the side have families and kids all the time. Finally 3 left for the struggling 50 people who all paid the $50 and equally deserve their turn to play. Perfect receipe for arguments and fights!!!!!
Another issue - some people go by "Indian towel on seat" reservation system. Say there are 4 in a team, each of them wait in one court and when one of the 4 courts is available, all 4 get together and play - they give the reason that other 3 were using restroom - this one is Andhra special!!! No rules unless you argue and stand your ground - what a mess!!!
When you bring up this with owners, they say $50 is cheap and they took away Wednesdays and shortened the hours to 10:30pm..what a way to mitigate the issues!!
Don't believe the 5 star reviews, that is either from one of " one-off" visitors or the owners and friends themselves. I hope management looks at this review and make necessary changes.

I wish this business stays longer by making appropriate changes so everyone can play peacefully and at the same time owners are profitable!!!! Until that point.....one star rating is excessive imho!

Accepting applications but while cancelling or freezing they take more than a month.
My friend was able to freeze for two weeks but now to me they said it had to be a multiple of 30 days and that’s the reason they did not freeze my membership and neither even informed me about this. Charging me since a month even after 2 emails and 1 visit.

The facility is good and well maintained. However, the charger service is really bad. I have been overcharged multiple times and still have pending refunds for 2 bookings when it was closed during power shut down week. I have sent several emails and notes at the front desk but haven't received any response yet. It's been over a month by now. Went Thursday night with a group of work friends to play at the open volleyball and it was everything but open. Paid $6 just to get barked at by a large group of players who refused to rotate off the courts for other teams. The place has four courts, two of which were actually available for the open volleyball. Two courts for 100+ people with no system in place of organization. Nobody abided by the rules that are laid out on the website. We left after getting denied access to the court multiple times by the aforementioned group.

What a shame, an otherwise great night ruined by selfish people who wouldn't relent and a business that refused to do anything about it. Could not see myself paying for a membership at this place when my $6 day pass only got me as far as the sideline.

Update 3/22: I assure you that the other two volleyball courts were closed but not because of leaks. It looked like there were organized groups practicing for leagues or member exclusive, but they definitely were not closed off for leaks. People were definitely using them just not players there for open volleyball. Let me just say that if those two courts were actually open, there would be less 1-star reviews on here. I do appreciate ownership responding to this review though.

Horrendous management, no organization, and embarrassing operation from A-Z. Their “open gym” policy causes complete chaos and confusion. The manager Amy is a real Karen and always has this terrible attitude towards members. Email responses are slow and she’s never there when we call the facility so don’t expect to be able to get any issues resolved in reasonable timeframe. Court management is unclear and conflict often arises and she doesn’t want to do anything about it. My suggestion is to have her replaced to begin with.

I would rate this place 1 star not because the place is bad for playing. Everyone pays for membership and there are a lot of people around to play and it's understandable that we will have to rotate every 20 mins which is great because everyone gets a chance to play. Out of nowhere he came and said the third court is his (even though he has only 2 courts reserved) and kicked the people out in the middle of the game. I went to the reception and checked and they said that they have 2 courts blocked. However ours was the third one. Then the coach mentioned that they missed the class last week since sparc was closed for a day last week because of weather and he wanted to make up the class. If he missed the class that's his problem and he should make it up by staying here for extra time instead of grabbing third court. Then the reception girls said that it's an adjustment between owner and coach. Hey come on we are all paying money to come and play. We couldn't even play when the facility was closed. Is he going to refund the money for the day where we weren't able to play or give us a free extra court on Wednesday to make it up for us ? This wasn't a rule they have defined in the terms and it's the responsibility of the management to take care of this. I will rate it 5 stars if the owner addresses this by giving us an extra free Wednesday for what we missed and also make it clear to this indecent coach that he can't take the 3rd one unless it's free.

It's a great space to play bunch of different indoor sports. They have badminton, ping-pong, volleyball, cricket, etc. The fee to play for a day and/or monthly membership seem reasonably priced. Facility is amazing. Everything is very clean and well lit. Bathrooms and lockers too. Parking is also available. Definitely recommend coming here.

Have only been here once to drop a child off for class

Lots of kids arriving very late & just walk on wherever
It took a lil bit but my child said she was evaluated and put into the proper group to help her learn more

I have been coming here for open badminton for a few months. Although it can get busy, everyone here is really nice and welcoming and is willing to switch off with you on the courts. No one is ever aggressive about staying on a court too long. I'm more beginner/intermediate, so the fact that everyone is so nice was a big plus. The facility is clean and front desk staff always helpful. Definitely would recommend.

I went there once, not coming back again. Front desk girls explained nothing about how to get the court even we said it was our first time. No player wait for their turn. Even if you wait in the court, they come and get on from no where.

Had trouble freezing and cancelling my membership. Never got an email back to acknowledge if they even processed my request. After taking my card off file and cancelling my membership, I was told months later that I still owe money from an old monthly fee. Management is terrible and does not communicate with staff about the policy and very unorganized. Management needs to have a more clear way to communicate membership policies.

They oversell people allowed for volleyball and sometimes 20+ people are waiting to play for one court. This is a ridiculous wait and definitely not worth it.

It is a great place for playing badminton. Maximum people come here to play badminton, but the long waits near the courts make me re think about my membership. On the website they said they have 16 courts, but they just have 9 badminton courts out of which 2 of them or 1 of them they will be running badminton classes. There are a couple of volleyball courts that are empty but the management is so pathetic, even after asking them to setup a court, they didn't even think about it. If they manage their place properly it will be Definitely a 5 star place to come and play.

Good facility, over crowded on weekdays and a complete mess with managing membership. Was charged to join the club and then informed that there is no card on file and yet charged again. Someday they say all is ok and the others they say that I am not a member.
Management never bothers to call back to resolve the issue.

Discrimination is going on, even though volleyball is open for everyone, some guys are booking the slot in advance for the players going to come after 1 hr. Management is not bothering about this discrimination

Really bad management! I canceled my membership months ago and its charging me every month. Tried calling front office for about 3 weeks now and only manager/owner have access to fix this issue and they are NEVER there to take care of any issues.
