Would give 0 stars if possible. I didn’t show up exactly 15 minutes early for my first class and was turned away. I wasn’t aware of the policy- I’ll admit there’s a small disclaimer in Class Pass which I saw after the fact, but considering how strict it apparently is maybe they could have emailed or called about it. I was about 10 minutes early which I’m sure is plenty of time to ‘get me situated’ for an exercise class. It’s not rocket science…

I went to cancel my membership after 2+ years of unlimited sessions. With 25 days notice, they said that without >30 days notice they would charge me again for another full month. Over $140 charged when I gave them 25 days notice to cancel after 2+ years of membership. Very disappointed in this practice, feels predatory. Absolutely no customer relations here.

The best workout ever!!!! All of the staff are incredibly kind, but Naomi is definitely my favorite instructor! She makes the classes so fun and upbeat, and knows her stuff when it comes to maintaining proper form to avoid injury!! Spenga is a spectacular workout place! I joined the membership before the pandemic. After a short break, I just missed working out with some awesome instructors and cool classmates, so I resumed my membership last March and it has been wonderful till today. First of all, the setting is just perfect for a thorough workout, you get to enjoy spinning, strength training and yoga 20 minutes each for a total of a 60-minute session. Moreover, the lighting and vibe of the place is modern, private and comfortable. You feel focused and energized during the workout, and refreshed and revived after you step out of the place, and pretty soon you will be thinking of coming back. Most importantly, Spenga has diversified instructors/trainers, each of them has their own unique teaching style, but they are all personable and professional. It’s definitely fun and beneficial to mix and match your classes with different instructors. My favorite instructor is Michelle. Not only we share the same name, but also she is the star instructor. Her calm voice and philosophical guidance always takes me to a deep transformation physically, mentally and emotionally, and I always hit the Zen feeling after attending her class.

I’ve been going to Spenga for over a year and it’s the perfect workout for me. Every single staff member is incredibly friendly and the environment overall is chill but energetic at the same time. I typically make it to Lucy and Michelle’s classes most of the time and they are wonderful. Michelle is always helpful when I ask her for movement variations due to some low back pain.

Everyone was so welcoming. The staff made your first time very personalized. They took the time to show you the whole studio and what each area was. Then the helped you set your spin bike so that I’d fit your body and you were in proper body alignment and comfortable. I really enjoyed this work out. I woke up the next day with that hood after workout soreness and I knew that I had a great workout!!! I became a member after the very first class.

Spenga is a great workout. 20 minutes interval spin, 20 minutes strength,
20 minutes stretching yoga. I live in Brighton and have been traveling to Ann Arbor to participate in this unique very effective workout for a year whenever I can. The coaches are awesome. Everyone from the owner "Cherie" to the person whom may be checking you in at the desk, take time to be sure - one, that you are comfortable and - two - that you have information on your bike specifications, and the entire procedure to make your workout fit you. Shout out to Lisa, Patricia, Michelle, Naomi or any of the other coaches or staff that I forgot to mention. You are awesome! Each of you bringing something unique to every session. Way to mix it up and keep our muscles guessing and our workouts fresh. Certainly if you are ready to add to your fitness routine, please stop in to Spenga for a session, you will be hooked. I look forward to this "werk" out!

This is an amazing place. I have medical issues and injury issues making weight loss and exercise difficult. They met me where I am at and never made me feel badly about it. They were supportive and the overall cultural feel is supportive. The workout is fairly tough and easy to make tougher, but they make it possible to complete it. It covers everything, cardio, strength, and stretch in one hour. It really fed my mind, body, and soul.
Having so many worries about my ability to lose weight with my epilepsy medication made this am emotional experience for me. I felt so proud that I was able to do it and so supported for the adjustments I needed to make. I left feeling centered and energized both physically and emotionally. I found my thing! This is what I need to do for myself. I signed up immediately and I cannot wait for Monday to go again.

EDIT: ^That's still true, but I wanted to highlight my displeasure towards the thirty day cancelation policy. This likely means that you'll be paying for a session you won't be attending. This is a great workout, and the staff and trainers couldn’t be more friendly or helpful. I love the way they set goals and adjust them for spin, the strength workouts are intense, and the yoga is a great cool down. I also had a chance to do a yoga-only session, which was very restorative. I’m less than a week in, and I’m already hooked!

My prior gym was closing so I’ve been exploring different options and have fallen in love with Spenga. I wasn’t sure about the cycling as I haven’t done it before but it was fun and challenging in a good way! Love that the strength portion is different each time and ending with yoga is amazing! I had signed up for a 3 month package and was told they would give me a heads up before the 4th month auto-renewed. This was not the case and now they are charging me for an extra month. I called and they straight up admitted that they don't let you know because they want you to keep paying for the membership.
While I enjoyed the classes and the instructors, I do not want to belong to a place where they try to trick you into keeping the membership.

I've been to 5 sessions now at SPENGA. I always have a blast, have always felt welcomed, and no two workouts have been the same. Great coaching too - and for the strength portion, there's a video showing you how to do the move so you can check your form even if the instructor is busy with someone else. Definitely worth checking out!
