I really liked this place as a gym. I'm not sure how the economics work, It always seemed pretty empty to me relative to the size of certain amenities. Multiple locker areas, saunas, tub, rock climbing walls etc

They must bring in a lot hosting area volleyball and basketball events.

It's always clean and had the free weights and machines any large scale franchise gym would have.

We were only in town a month but went almost every day and it was great.

Hey folks…it’s 15° outside. Maybe, just maybe, you should have your facility at an acceptable temperature for indoor sports. Everyone here for volleyball today is bundled up like we are outside. And it’s still cold. When someone asked about turning up the heat…they were told “we have to check with the higher ups.”

If you or your kid were to deal with bullying issues… I would advise you not to take your kid there. I myself was a victim of bullying and I defended myself @ the sporthouse by laughing @ the bullies, for what they was saying towards me… because I wanted to let people know that it don’t affect me, but I was kicked out, but the bullies wasn’t. Then if you want to use the dome, and you have a guest pass or a membership… and want to use heat… make sure you have an extra $100+ an hour to use the heat… because the owner wants to brag about how much thousands and thousands the sporthouse makes, but you yourself gotta pay extra for heat. So wear sweats and thermals or under armour. So myself give it a half star

When I had a membership, some group fitness classes were offered - yoga and spin - but I discovered that the spin class was just a video in a room with bikes and the yoga classes were sparse. Childcare was also a big issue - scarce hours and it's just one teenager on their phone in a room with a few kids. I did not feel comfortable and was not impressed. This gym abandoning group fitness classes and punting on childcare was enough for me to withdraw my membership. Sad that you are not serving families.

I was here for a volleyball tournament, and I found the facility, inviting, clean, and comfortable. Although they have a lot of parking, it seems they need more parking spaces for these big volleyball tournaments. I normally pay five dollars to get into tournaments, it was $10 here. Pretty steep....especially if you bring the family. Although, kids under 12 enter for free.

Always clean. Lots of options from yoga/pilates, the Peleton room, golf simulation, bar upstairs during weekend events, and all the usual stuff from a gym. Plenty of rooms for you to go do your own thing, too. Zeus and Maggie are a great welcoming committee. Definitely get your money's worth.

We came here a few times now for volleyball tournaments. The gym is set up great and the added benefit of having a drink while you wait for the next match is amazing. The only real negative is the line to get your kiddo a smoothie or a coffee in the morning can take quite awhile so plan for that. But they are worth the wait! Thanks for having us!

I absolutely loved working out at the SportHouse and give them a ton of credit for helping me change my lifestyle though they might not know they did. Walking in, we were always greeted with smiles from the employees and the owners were very hands on and personable. It was a great environment, and even though the gym was small you could still get a good workout in. I always saw an employee cleaning the machines and they were very responsive with fixing any issues. We moved to Tampa and the only gym that has a daycare is Lifetime. Though they have newer equipment they don’t take care of it (it’s always broken),it’s dirty, they don’t fix any issues with the equipment, and the other people at the gym have poor gym etiquette, something that wasn’t (often) an issue at SportHouse. Moving and going to a new gym has been difficult, there are times I just don’t want to go because I hate the atmosphere, but I don’t! SportHouse is a great gym and I highly suggest going here. Only issue I could make was the parking during the games...maybe a members only parking?

Great place to workout, go for a run, play sports, and be with friends and very nice people. Overall the atmosphere here is so welcoming it in my opinion is better than the service at chik fil a. Other than my pleasures SportHouse staff is always smiling, welcoming and willing to help whenever you need it. Huge shout out to them as well for setting up indoor sports as the weather cools down for winter. I look forward to getting more touchdowns for indoor football and look forward to more seasons. Due to change of owners, I decided to give this place a second chance. 2 years ago when I visited this facility after moving to the area, I was unimpressed by the old style contract you'd be stuck in. This is no longer the case. The contract trap has been thrown out and I have joined this facility. The monthly membership price is a bit more costly than other facilities around, but well worth it given all the amenities offered here. The owners and staff are very nice... my kids love coming here. The staff is constantly cleaning all of the equipment, everything in the facility looks clean and well kept. I recommend this facility 100% ☺️!

Mask wearing is not enforced at this facility. The cardio room is a Covid Petri dish. Very disappointing. I’m surprised they are allowed to remain open.

Response to the owner. There were multiple people in the cardio room not wearing masks, panting and breathing heavily. I went to the front desk to ask them to come into the cardio room. An employee came in and asked everyone to wear their masks. Most complied except one woman who refused and she was allowed to stay. Once the employee left, everyone took their masks off. I have pictures that I would be happy to share. I don’t think you have enough manpower to enforce mask wearing in the cardio room.

This place is way beyond any other fitness center I've had a membership at. Very clean with nice equipment and facilities! The best place in Muskegon county. Two different men's locker rooms and two different women's locker rooms. Locker rooms have saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and clean showers & locker areas. There is also a co ed hot tub and a pool. They have a great basketball court and are currently adding 5 more. The best weight room and cardio room I've been to. Rock climbing wall and a golf simulator which also works for football and zombie dodgeball. They have all sorts of equipment for drills and workouts. Just fantastic with all the amenities

EXTREMELY expensive. Very disorganized. Equipment is old/outdated. Whenever I ask the staff a question the most common answer I receive is "I'm not sure, I'll have to get back to you". And to this point, they never have. They can't even tell me how much each plate on the leg extension machine weighs. It is the most expensive gym in the tri county area by a wide margin, yet they look for any possible way to take more money from you.
Would you like to use a locker? That costs extra.
Need a replacement membership card? That costs extra.
Use the tennis courts? Extra.
When I tried to sign up for a membership, I was told I had to wait (about 25 minutes) until the only staff member who could help me was finished making smoothies for a family of 6. No apology for the wait.
It's not even open 24 hours.
The only reason I'm still a member is because it's extremely close to my house and my schedule is very busy, making the gyms further away prohibitive.

The pool is always dirty the chemicals are always off sometimes the chlorine is so strong that it burns your nose when you walk in the room the unisex hot tub is the same either dirty or chlorine is stronger than it should be is has burned my daughter's legs th my daughter had slipped into the pool and gotten hurt she had to be rushed to the hospital and get stitches the staff was little help the raised the price on the mandatory gratuity for the so called free monthly haircut its almost the same price and better quality to just go to the barber shop back in March I talk to them about cancelling my membership at the end of my year what ended April 1st and was not to you have to give a 30 day notice I talked to them several times in March planning a birthday never once they ever say anything so no here it is may 1st and they still are trying to bill me for another month😡🤬😡

A great place to workout, get fit, and have fun. As an on again off again member for at least 15 years Norton Pines has a lot to offer. Salon and spa, tanning beds, hot tubs, swimming pools, weight room, racquetball, and cardio machines are just a few of the amenities to take advantage of. Fitness classes, swimming classes (adult, child, and infant), personal trainers, and daycare services are also offered. Ladies and men's locker rooms are large and clean. Each locker room also has private showers, changing rooms, hot tub, steam room and sauna to enjoy. Their upstairs offers basketball courts,walking track, and bar to enjoy a drink and light snack. Their staff is has always been friendly and knowledgeable. There are a few downsides to this wonderful establishment. The membership costs are not cheap with a single person membership starting at $80 a month. Second, they are a little under staffed causing a backup at check-in and service at the juice bar. These are minor inconveniences but they should be pointed out none the less.

My review is low because of price and atmosphere and this is my opinion. I have a small family, so naturally looking for a gym membership with a daycare. They have a great gym set up and daycare area, however per month they are asking $157 plus a $50 application deposit. You are locked into a contract which I personally have never liked. They also have the gym set up like a country club setting.....I am not looking for all of that. They do however offer a lot of extra things, like classes with there memberships. It was clean and staff was friendly but I wish it was a more family oriented feeling and a lower price. We have ultimately found another location with half the price and everything still included about 10 minutes away!
