Was introduced to State of Fitness by a friend and it works for me. I lift hard, but almost never have injury. Trainer led workouts have really improved my strength and fitness and it helps to have accountability so I don't cancel and actually get the workout in.

I’ve belonged to a lot of gyms over the years, but this one is the best. The trainers are very knowledgeable and they make the workouts fun. All fitness levels are accommodated. You need not fear if you aren’t in top shape. Many of the members have gotten to know each other and there has not been one single time that the trainers haven’t greeted me by name as soon as I walk in. It is a welcoming and comfortable space.

I joined State of Fitness about two months ago and I can honestly say that my quality of life has improved significantly in this short period of time. Fitness has always been important to me, not only for my physical health, but for my mental health as well. I have been to A LOT of gyms and fitness studios, and while I’ve truly enjoyed my experience at most of those places, SOF is vastly different. Words alone cannot capture the SOF niche; you have to try it for yourself! I feel strong at SOF (even though I’m a beginner and not nearly at the level of some of the other members, my improvement is already noticeable). The SOF approach is like no other gym, I promise. I have the semi-private membership which includes unlimited group conditioning as well. No matter what session you’re in, you will get PERSONAL training. The trainers get to know you and even in a small group setting, they will single you out to fix your form, make suggestions, etc. until you perfect the exercise. Kettle bells swings are my new fav, and it was the most intimidating workout to me when I started two months ago. Every single trainer is stellar. I could list the strong points of each one, but this post would be longer than it already is! I will say, Justin (the owner) is exceptional. Justin worked with me during my “induction” where he took some measurements and movement assessments. He took note of any pain or injuries for my “chart.” Coming from the health field myself, I’m impressed with the individual health approach Justin and his team takes. I love the feeling of community at SOF and how at any given session, the capacity of members in the gym is low, given the pandemic. I feel safe at SOF, whereas I absolutely cannot say the same for other gyms I’ve been to. I could go on, but in conclusion, if you are serious about achieving your fitness goals and decreasing anxiety and other stressors, sign up at SOF 🙂

I have been a State of Fitness member for just over two years now and I’m feeling better & stronger than I ever have in my adult life. I was looking for a gym near my work and home in hopes that easy access would motivate me… I found that and so much more at State of Fitness! The trainers inspire me every workout, with their tips and their positivity. Small group sessions energize my workout, while the training itself builds my fitness up without breaking me down like some gyms demand. State of Fitness welcomes all body types, no
matter your age, and every workout is adaptable for you as an individual. Today heading to my gym is a routine part of my week, and I’m sad if I have to miss a session (though the scheduling app makes that an easy fix). Not only does my body crave the workouts, but I also love the supportive atmosphere that is the State of Fitness.

I joined 3 months ago- best decision ever! I was going to a gym where I had no accountability and nobody to show me what I was doing wrong. I love the "class" atmosphere, but I can also go anytime I want on my own. I've worked with most of the trainers and every single one of them is above and beyond knowledgeable, engaging, and truly interested in your progress. What was unexpected was the camaraderie with the other members. I also love that each workout is a little different, so it does not get stale. I can't say enough great things about my experience at State of Fitness. I went from trotting on a treadmill for 30 minutes twice a week to looking forward to my 3-4 workouts at State of Fitness each week! Your health is worth it!

I’ve never had such a warm, welcoming experience at a gym, and the trainers are excellent: knowledgeable, focused, attentive, down-to-earth, and encouraging. They keep things fresh and interesting, while pushing you to work hard and set and achieve your goals. There are weight lifting (training) and cardio (conditioning) classes, and individual sessions. You get so much expertise for the price. The space is very clean and well-kept… kind of small and cozy and very efficient, with everything you need and nothing you don’t. The atmosphere is lively, but never overwhelming or intimidating… everyone is incredibly friendly and supportive, and the overall vibe is very non-judgy while being challenging. All ages and abilities are present. Our whole family are members, and have seen the benefits physically and psychologically. We absolutely love it, which is not something I ever thought I would say about a gym! Really cannot say enough good things about SOF, the awesome people who work there, and the other members.

I truly can’t say enough about State of Fitness! Every trainer is so well qualified and they genuinely care about each and every member and the fitness journey you’re on. There’s no need to think about “leg day” or “arm day” thanks to the full-body workouts, which I really love. Having never done group workouts before my trial, I was a little apprehensive and intimidated, but there really was no need to be - the other members are very welcoming and the amazing trainers are ready with pointers, form corrections, and most of all encouragement. I’ve been a member for a little less than 2 years but I can honestly say that becoming a member at State of Fitness is one of the best gifts I’ve ever given myself!

I had chronic pain and was feeling defeated when i started the 21-day introductory trial.

I have found the Trainers to be very top notch when it comes to form, technique, interaction, and most importantly support/encouragement. When it comes to the class offerings, the variety is refreshing. While I typically take the Conditioning classes, the schedule ensures you are not repeating the same classes which keeps things interesting.

Lastly, the environment is very welcoming from the staff to the other members. My wife and I have developed many lasting friendships with others at SOF, which is a huge side benefit in my view.

Terrible with communication. You call the number for the gym and it goes to a machine that tells you to text this sketchy number or leave a message for them to contact you. They ant to make you have to jump hurtles to join their gym that's a horrible way to do business.

10/10 would recommend working with Michael from State of Fitness if you're looking for a personal trainer! He is incredibly respectful, incredibly knowledgable, and encouraging with a great balance of pushing you and also honoring limits/needs. There was a good balance of familiarity and also switching things up each work out so I was never bored and always learning. I also appreciated his attention and follow up with my personal training goals and needs. Some of our work was with mobility and posture, and it has definitely made a positive difference in my day to day life in addition to my workouts. Also- the facility itself is really welcoming, clean and nonjudgemental. As a plus sized WOC with a physical disability, I felt very comfortable in this space.

SoF is serious fitness at its best! I train with Justin one on one and his knowledge of the mechanics of the human form is incredibly rich. Justin’s education in kinesiology is of the highest caliber. He has lifted me to heights that I never thought possible for someone just beginning to workout at 65. I’ve worked with Justin for almost three years now…and I am still learning I can do more. It is very fulfilling! (I have been blessed to have found him!) I am so much stronger and have more self awareness of body movement than EVER! I notice (during my training) the other trainers are also top notch. This gym meets you where you’re at and they help you gain total body strength and mobility. I do mostly strength training in a small group. Everyone has been very supportive and they help me to do exercises correctly. This gym has changed my life! The semi-private classes offer a low pressure way to really work on all of the different parts of the body. A few short months after joining, every part of my body felt better as a result of the training. I have been in for over a year and always look forward to getting to a class. The workouts change on a regular basis to keep things interesting and hit different muscle groups. Other gym members are extremely friendly and at a variety of age and fitness levels. The trainers are all excellent - each with a slightly different perspective and way of motivating the class and explaining the different exercises. Peppy background music adds to the energy of the gym. I highly recommend SOF!

They are very friendly to people who are not "Gym Rats" There are people of all levels of fitness and ages.. I started there at my least fit stage of my life. They were welcoming, encouraging and NO JUDEGEMENT. There are also some people who are are really advanced in their training. It's great, you can work out in your own, join a class, have a Semi-private training sessions of 4-6 people , a personal session, they have conditioning/boot camp sessions and a monthly consultation about nutrition or workouts or whatever you want, all the trainers are qualified to nutrition advice as they've taken the course
the trainers know what they're doing. If you have an injury you're recovering from they give you alternative movements to do in the workouts, and tell you stretches that can also help (some of which people do in physical therapy).
they make you feel apart of the community, any trainers baby shower or moving away party everyone is invited, and the people you meet at the gym become great friends, when you sign up youre joining the SOF family...I've been here for 3 years and Its an amazing experience, unfortunately I had to move out of town, can't find another gym like this place (the commitment of the trianers and how they care about everyone they train and the community)

State of Fitness is a great gym. The best part is the trainers. They give great instructions and keep the pace moving along during the classes. I do semi-private classes 5 days a week and by the end of the week I know I got a total body workout. The gym always in pristine cleanliness. Another great part of the gym is it is never too busy because they regulate the class sizes and the other patrons are really great too. I’m 45 years old and love to just show up, get a trainer to tell me what to do and then go home feeling great from an hour long work out.

I’ve been a member for 6 months and have gotten so much stronger in that short time. A lot of the strength and conditioning movements have some sort of core work involved - after having 2 kids, this is the first place I’ve found where the workouts are really helping me get my core strength back. I have only been going for a couple of weeks and this is the only gym I’ve felt comfortable setting foot in due to COVID. Incredibly clean, top notch safety procedures and friendly staff. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and are very focused and dedicated to helping their clients succeed. The workouts are the right amount of hard and tailored to your personal strength and fitness level. Love this place and can’t wait to continue working out here

Over the past 11 months I've trained with SOF trainers in Group Training, conditioning, foundations, and "roll and stretch." I'm older than most of the others that train at this location and have some injuries that keep me from performing some of the exercises which others can do. Yet, the excellent and knowledgeable staff adapt the programs so that it fits your needs. Not only am I stronger than last November when I started, I'm healthier as well. There is an excellent balance between the "old" and the "new" as far as techniques and equipment are concerned and the staff work with you no matter your fitness level or ability. As one who remembers the ominous "gym rats" of the 70's and 80's, State of Fitness is a refreshing "real world" approach that I heartily recommend. I look forward to the next year---and beyond. This gym has a very fun and versatile training environment. I personally have an extensive training background from running marathons to power lifting.
