This gym is extremely nice! Sooooo much equipment! I love the atmosphere better than the Powerhouse gym. I hate to name drop, but I didn’t feel comfortable there. I can’t put my finger on why but I didn’t feel like I fit in. Everyone at this gym was kind to me. I even had questions and reached out to a couple strangers who graciously helped me with a few machines and how to use it. The owner is wonderful and signing up for a membership is smooth. He’s always responsive too! I highly recommend this gym!

I was in town for about five days and this place was fantastic. The manager (owner?) Aaron let me know that a day pass was $20 and the rest of the days were covered for $30. So for a total of $10 a day, I got one of the best experiences I've ever had at a gym. The community was excellent, as was the price.

I absolutely LOVE this gym. My boyfriend has been coming here for a long time, and as a female who has only recently gotten serious with lifting I cannot say enough about the good energy and positive vibes this place has. Josh is extremely kind, helpful and is always cleaning - the gym itself is well thought out and organized with excellent equipment and lots of free weights. All of the windows make it a bright, airy space and everyone I have met so far has been supportive and encouraging. Seriously. Join this gym.

I have been to most gyms in the area, Strength Beyond is by far my favorite. Been lifting here for years and I've met some of my best friends here too. Biggest selling point for me is the 24/h access. Nothing like going to the gym late and having the place to yourself.

I love this gym because I love to work out amd it’s close to home. It’s got everything from free weights to machines and cables. There are even ropes as well as tires and such for outdoor use in the summer.
The staff does a great job keeping the place tidy (with the help of the members Cz after all, they are not our mother!) and Josh makes you feel so welcome! He’s very kind and personable. They also do well making adjustments as needed to the space.

I’ve been training @ the Strength and Beyond locations for almost five years now. The facilities are well maintained and each offer their own unique training experience. The strength and beyond gyms are your best bet for an individual looking to improve in the Southwest Michigan area. Whether you’re into powerlifting, bodybuilding, or simply want to get back into shape, the staff will be more than willing to help you start your journey.

They’re always improving upon each location, as well. The 24/7 access is a MUST HAVE for me as my training schedule is often sporadic. It’s convenient to be able to get a session in on my own time. The Westnedge location along with the Gull Rd. location are my two personal favorites.

Aaron is a very kind man and has been in business for two decades. My husband also loves the gym and we will be lifelong supporters! Each facility has its own special flair. Paw Paw is the original location with tons of history. We also suggest checking out the biggest facility on Gull Road. Don’t forget the new Westnedge Ave location too! The owner is awful. He made a public pledge to donate money to a cancer survivors choice of foundation and never followed through. He raised money through his company using the face of the gym member (cancer survivor) and after said cancer survivor found out the owner never donated the money she attempted to contact him, when that didn't work she called him out on social media and below is a screenshot of his response. Also the owner of this gym used to use his gym to sell steroids a while back.

This is one of the few if not only gym in kalamazoo that caters to gym goers that want to lift heavier weights. Its a small personable gym, the owner is super cool and all of his staff have been great. I love the fact that EVERYONE participates in wiping down the equipment. I live in portage so I frequent the one on westnedge. Every once in a while I go to the one on gull, which is my favorite. the place is like weit lifting mecca! lol. seriously great gym. I was able to even negotiate my contract for 3 yrs at only $1k up front (that's $27 a month). It's 24 hrs, has a sauna (which I don't use).

I'd like to mention too, that I cam from family fitness....wanna talk about a scam?....yea they were the biggest one in kalamazoo!

side note, i hate the the state of michigan is trying to fine them for letting THEIR CUSTOMERS DECIDE TO WEAR A MASK OR NOT! TOTAL BULLSPIT!

Plenty of equipment to get all the workout stuff in I need. And the bikes and treadmills to warm up. Never short on plates, and the massive pulley setup is great that some gyms don’t have.

Also a shower if I’m hitting the gym pre-work. Love the 24/7 status of this place for those weird-hour lifts.
