The Mill Michigan is the fitness studio I didn’t know I needed. The studio offers a variety of classes, designed for everyone, at every stage of their fitness journey. The studio is warm and welcoming; the community is encouraging and supportive. The trainers promote a healthy mindset where fitness isn’t just about a number on the scale, but that movement is medicine. Dr. Hannah Mills genuinely cares about every person that walks through the door. It’s truly a space where everyone is welcome, friendships are made, and fitness is fun!

I’ve been putting off reviewing this place because I can’t quite put it into words how grateful I am. Hannah got to the root of my problem rather than just treating my symptoms to ensure that I don’t re-injure myself or cause other issues for myself. And she did so without scheduling any unnecessary sessions. Her communication is awesome and she is always available to help, even though I no longer have PT sessions.
The exercise classes have been AMAZING. I have seen SO much progress so quickly and have never been more confident with weights. The instructors are very knowledgeable and attentive to each individual in the class thanks to the smaller class sizes. There have been multiple game changing tweaks to my form which I would never have known to make without their help.
There are exercise classes for all experience levels and the scheduling has allowed me to fit in at least two classes weekly with my busy work life.
The Mill has been life changing for me and many others.

To say Dr. Hannah Mills has changed my life would be an understatement. I truly can’t put into words how grateful I am to have met her, especially when I did. For the past 2 years I have been battling chronic health issues, and I underwent surgery a little over a year ago.
I can confidently say that Dr. Hannah is the main reason I have seen improvement in my healing journey and she has given me hope that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Additionally… SHE CARES. It’s so hard to find doctors who genuinely care about you and your wellbeing, but I’ll tell you right now she’s one of them. Not only that, but she’s strong, hardworking & determined, and from a physical therapy standpoint it is her goal to get you feeling as best you possibly can by the end of every appointment. She also has this special way of making you feel heard, getting you to believe in yourself and empowering you to do things you never thought you could.
I have seen many doctors, I’ve been to many appointments & I’ve been given a lot of medications to try… with that said Dr. Hannah has been the ONLY doctor to make my pain more manageable or to take it away completely… let that sink in & then take a chance on The Mill, I promise you won’t regret it!

The Mill is everything and more I could hope for as a new mom and someone who loves exercise. Coming back to fitness after having a baby seemed very daunting. I felt better about attending Bumps, Babies and Barbells, where I could bring my baby along. During this class, Hannah was sure to personalize and modify the workout for every one in the class. I felt safe and supported and by the end, incredibly confident in my ability to return to exercise. This gave me the confidence to attend a bunch of different classes at The Mill, all of which have been incredible. The small class sizes allow for ample support from the instructors. Not only is the fitness aspect of The Mill top tier, but Hannah has done incredible things to create a community at The Mill. Being surrounded by other women who were pregnant & newly postpartum brought me so much joy and encouragement in the difficult days of being a brand new first time mom. It brings tears to my eyes thinking of how fortunate we are to have this in our community! And just when you think it can’t get any better at The Mill, Hannah brings in a new expert, or starts a new initiative to better support her community. It is so much more than a gym, or a PT office. There are not enough kind words to say about this place, you have to experience it yourself!!!

Dr. Hannah is an absolute gem! After several pelvic floor therapy sessions, I decided to try one of her classes, and it was incredible. It struck the perfect balance between challenging and empowering. For a few months I have been looking for a space that provides strength workouts with early class times and a smaller class size. I signed up for my first my class and didn't even hesitate to continue booking classes here. The Team is always encouraging and accommodating during workouts if modifications are needed. The wide variety of classes that are available here is fabulous. The Mill is great addition to Downriver!!

I was referred to The Mill by a friend who said she liked the small class size and circuit workouts. I decided to give the Strong Start class a try to finally get comfortable with weight training and working out in front of others. It’s definitely out of my comfort zone but the trainers have gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable and help with modifications if I need them. I’ve gone to three classes in the last 8 days and I plan to keep coming back. I highly recommend The Mill and its trainers.

The Mill is an amazing and needed resource for women in the Downriver community. I have been a patient of Hannah’s (the owner), I have personally taken classes (Pelvicore is the best), and I have brought my kids to classes (Wonder Blossoms). I’ve been attending since November 2024. It is a welcoming, clean, and modern space with new equipment. I wish I had this during my pregnancies because I truly believe I would’ve been better prepared both mentally and physically. The good news is it’s available now and we can always get stronger.
Hannah, the owner, is exceptional at making you feel comfortable and her passion for her career is evident. You will be cared for with respect and compassion.
My only con is that the physical space is small and while I love the boutique size classes, I think Hannah’s vision could grow into a much larger space one day…or even multiple, because we know this is needed for women all over. I look forward to seeing it thrive!

Dr. Hannah Mills and The Mill have forever changed my life! I have struggled with many different issues and was feeling such a low quality of life as I navigated menopause and my middle years. I have always been very active and wanted to do more than my body was allowing. Hannah has taught me more about my body and Pelvic Floor than I have known in 30 years. She made me feel so comfortable from my initial intake and listened to all my concerns. The quality of care is the BEST I’ve ever received! I have 3 children, all in their 20’s, all played college sports, and I had them VERY close in age, which resulted in a lot for my body.
I have made incredible progress in 3 short months with PT with Hannah and the PelviCore class at The Mill. I am feeling stronger every day and with every session and most importantly, I have hope again! I will forever be grateful for her and The Mill and could not recommend her more!!

I am beyond thankful for The Mill and Dr. Hannah. After two years of being in and out of physical therapy, I finally found my perfect match at The Mill. This place is truly one-of-a-kind, dedicated to real healing rather than just quick fixes. Dr. Hannah has uncovered issues that no other doctor or physical therapist even thought to consider.
In healthcare, I often have to advocate for myself, but with Dr. Hannah, I feel truly heard and cared for. Her brilliance and ability to explain what's happening with my body are simply amazing. She has taught me so much about the sources of my pain, various treatment options, and how to manage and heal chronic pain.
Thanks to the PT work and PelviCORE classes, I now know how to properly engage my deep core muscles. Dr. Hannah ensures that I understand how to perform exercises correctly, which has helped me regain strength and heal. I can't thank her enough for helping me retrain my muscles and reigniting my motivation and love for working out.
When I first came to The Mill, I felt defeated and frustrated but after our consultation call I confidently knew The Mill was the missing puzzle piece for me. Now, I feel hopeful, smarter, stronger, and healthier! Dr. Hannah has equipped me with the knowledge and tools to continue my healing journey. I’m SO happy with the progress I have made. The Mill has been so vital to my mind, body, and soul during my pregnancy. Prenatal yoga with Nikki is the best yoga class I’ve ever taken. She is so knowledgeable and every movement purposeful. She is so genuinely passionate about empowering and preparing women for birth. Hannah’s unique Pelvicore class is such a great mental and physical workout and has helped me focus on core pelvic strength. Bumps, babes, and barbells is such a fun strength building class tailored for pregnant and new mommas. Hannah is great about meeting you where you are at with modifications, and encouraging you along the way while still challenging you. This place is amazing! I can't say enough wonderful things about The Mill, Hannah and all of the instructors. I know I'm getting a great workout every I go. Instructors are motivating, and the classes are a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
I also take my daughter to the Wonder Blossoms toddler classes, and she has had a blast singing, dancing, playing and learning. Ms. Maddie does a great job making learning new things fun for the kids. We love it here. :)

Wonder blossoms has been amazing for my 2 year old! She loves going and stays constantly engaged. Ms. Maddie is an amazing instructor and makes it super fun for the kids so you’re able to sneak away and work out.
Bumps, babies and barbells is great too! It’s a great workout to ease back into things postpartum and Hannah really helps make sure you are doing the exercises correctly and modifying if needed.

I workout on a regular basis and thought Kristen's pilates classes would be easy. I was wrong. They are challenging in the best way possible and leave me sore for days. Kristen is great at explaining every move and offers modifications for those who need them. Her classes are a great addition to my workouts. I began seeing Dr. Hannah Mills in August 2024. I had been struggling with plantar fasciitis since March of 2024. I had been to 2 different foot doctors who sold me expensive inserts and shot me up with a bunch of cortisone and I wasn’t getting anywhere. I started PT in April did my 12 weeks as prescribed by my podiatrist and got no where. I began seeing instant results after just one session with Dr Hannah.. She is a master for her craft working my facia release, dry needling and gives instruction flawlessly. My exercises are so much different than the standard pt office I went to. I have worked hard retaining my feet to walk again with only minor pain and we continue to pinpoint parts of my body that needs the work. I am forever grateful for her presence in my life. I highly recommend

I've been working with Hannah for almost a year now, starting when she worked as a physical therapist in Ann Arbor. She is so amazing that I decided I had to follow her out to Wyandotte when she opened her own practice (yes, I drive an hour from Ann Arbor to go see her, she's that good).
Her "bedside manner" is some of the best I've ever had - she is so compassionate and truly cares about her patients and is so incredibly encouraging to work with, even when I'm overcome with anxiety and fear.
Her knowledge of the neuroscience of pain has been essential in putting me on a journey to be in the least amount of pain I've been in in literal years of my chronic pain journey - so much so, that I might actually be on the road to being pain free in the next year or so, kicking nearly a decade of back pain that landed me in the ER a year ago, unable to walk because my back spasm was so bad. Now, almost a year later, I just lifted a barbell for the first time and am up to 65 lbs squatting and deadlifting!
Her fitness studio space at The Mill is also just fantastic!
I cannot recommend her more highly, truly. Thank you, Hannah, for getting me so far in my pain journey and hopefully seeing me all the way to pain-free in the future. A year ago, I thought that was impossible. Now I see that it might actually happen, and I'm stronger than ever!

Truly could not think of a more saving-grace place! The type of 1:1 coaching you get during classes is top tier! The small class sizes make it less intimidating and I always look forward to the new faces I will meet! The workouts can be customized to your experience and level of strength, which is something that makes The Mill stand out from other workout studios. I look forward to waking up every morning and being able to go to a workout class where I know I will get proper coaching on form, how to engage certain muscles, and also the mind-muscle connection.
