My son has been taking classes here for about a year and a half and he absolutely loves it! He started when he was 4 years old and was absolutely terrified of falling and doing the monkey bars by himself. He’s since advanced into the mini masters class and is now unstoppable. He’s gained not only strength, but also body awareness, confidence, drive and determination. The coaches are wonderful and really meet the kids where they are at. Ninja class day is his favorite of the week and it’s been great to watch the athlete in him come to life!

Our son loves Ninja's Edge. We've been going for about a year now and he says he never wants to stop. The coaches are attentive and do a great job wrangling a class of 5 year olds.

Extremely disappointed- unacceptable treatment of children

We had high hopes for this ninja class however, our recent encounter with Coach Landon was deeply disappointing and concerning. During class, my child swung a rope back which was against gym rules, and he then apologized.
Instead of using this as a learning moment, Coach Landon chose to punish him by forcing him to do continuous jumping jacks. When my son, exhausted said he couldn't continue, Coach Landon insisted that he keep going. My son then started crying saying " I'm tired " and coach Landon again told him to "keep going ." I witnessed the incident and had to step in and pull him from the class mid-session. My son was in tears and clearly exhausted.
I immediately addressed this with Carrie, the owner, however, felt dismissed by her excuse for why this occurred. Hoping for further clarification, I sent a follow up email to ninjas edge however, received no response.
This lack of accountability raises serious concerns about how the coaches are trained and whether they understand ways to work with children. Punishment with physical activity in the state of Michigan is actually illegal. In addition, it can be very dangerous. Gym sessions should be an enjoyable, safe, and supportive environment. If there are concerns regarding a child's behavior or ability to follow rules, parents should be notified rather than having children face punitive measures without communication.
I find it alarming that punishment and humiliation are being used as disciplinary methods. This class was supposed to be a fun experience. The fact that they did not respond to my email speaks volumes. If you're considering this program, Id strongly urge you to reconsider.

Fantastic gym environment for kids to develop athleticism and perseverance! Ours 2 boys have been coming for 3+ years because they love it and are always challenged at the right level. The Ninja's Edge coaches/staff are professional and friendly. Younger staff are trained and monitored by experienced mentors. Sessions are a good mix of obstacles, skill instruction, warm-up & cool-down. Good coach-to-athlete ratio. Highly recommend for any young person wanting to get more agile, strong, and confident while having FUN!

We have been absolutely blown away by the attention and instruction that our 4 year old has received from the amazing coaches at The Ninja's Edge. After our first session, our kid thought he was a Ninja.

As an educator and experienced youth coach, I have been so impressed with the design of each session, the engagement that the coaches foster, and the development that they coax out of their young ninjas (who are often scared or content with doing things the easy way). A million thanks, we will be coming back for the foreseeable future.

This place is, by far, the best gym for kids. The class sizes are small. The coaches are excellent and very attentive. The gym itself is super clean, has many obstacles, and the seating areas for the spectators (ie. Parents) are right by the obstacles themselves. My kids have been to various gyms in the metro Detroit area and this one is by far the best. If you really want your child to be challenged, this is the gym for them! And it also helps that it is affordable, too.

If you have kids who are active, might enjoy as I call them monkey gymnastics, competitive and just love exercises - send them here!
This place will improve your kid’s physical strength but most importantly mental health and discipline.
Amazing coaches. Very attentive owner!
Have older boy here for over 5 years and youngest for 2 (started at 5yo). And I am sure we’ll be sending our daughter here once she’s of age.

Changing my rating after this last session. As a warning to parents who are interested in nano, it really does make a difference who you get as a coach. The last two times we went we had coaches who ignored my son and this time around we had two coaches who were incredible. We were on the verge of dropping out so we’re grateful to the coaches we had today (wish I grabbed their names but it was two bros).

I am not sure how Ninja's edge is on the inside since I was not able to get in.
They did not answer my 3 phone calls and voice messages.
Today I went there to check it out in person based on the hours posted, but it was closed. I am assuming they were closed for 4th of July, but their voice message also did not reflect the changed closure.

AMAZING!! I went to my first class and absolutely loved it. The staff & trainers are all really friendly and super helpful. I got an incredible work out in and got to do different things to challenge myself. It was a great experience and I already can't wait to go back. I HIGHLY recommend!

We love this place! They always treat my son with the most patience and kindness. He is shy and the coaches seem to know exactly what to do to make him feel comfortable. They are also strict on mask wearing, which I think is important. Their classes full up quickly and now I know why. I’d highly recommend them!

I’ve been taking my son to classes for a while now. Everyone is so friendly, professional and helpful. We were able to host a private birthday party for my son this past weekend and everyone had a great time. The staff was very attentive to our range of children, ages 3-12 along with some adults who were able to join the fun! We look forward to future events with the Ninjas Edge!

Very clean gym and our private group lesson was fun and challenging but administration leaves much to be desired. I was overcharged $132 on a $165 bill (so almost double!!) Still waiting on a refund a week later, even with daily phone calls to them. I recommend using cash only.

Fantastic. Great coaching, great with kids. Very well kept. Had a boy's birthday gathering here (has to be 10 people or less). I could give 6 stars. We did not use the room for cake as it is better to do that at home and besides they only offer 30 minutes and the cake/room part is not what this place is about, so not a problem!
