If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a two year membership that ended in 2015. I moved away, so I called to ensure I would not be charged on a month to month basis after my two year membership expired, and only discovered after being charged for several months that they had not cancelled my membership as I had asked. I have been unable to cancel my membership for months and upon hearing about it closing I assumed my membership would automatically be cancelled. It was not and they've continued to charge me despite the gym being closed. When I called I was told I would not get a refund and would have to fill out a form that would take 30 days to cancel my membership.... to a gym that is no longer open. They have been completely unhelpful at every step along the way. I would never recommend this gym to anyone purely on this basis, or any other gym that uses National Fitness to collect membership fees. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and encourage anyone else who has been wrongfully charged to do the same.

This gym cancelled all group fitness classes without notice to the members with promise of reimbursement for the remainder of our contract. I haven't seen my money and now I have heard they have closed their doors!!!! A very poorly run operation to say the least!!!

This facility offers a bit for everyone. There are technically two gyms that are included in the membership. The Michigan Barbell area really caters to the serious lifters and between the two gyms there isn't a piece of equipment that you won't be able to find. There are classes that are free with your membership and a posing lights that are open for anyone to use. Everything from yoga, zumba, spinning, to more intense circuit training.

The gyms are both kept extremely clean and tidy. Employees are all very knowledgeable and welcoming. You really can feel a part of a community when you start working out here and getting to know everyone. The trainers they have are very diverse and have many areas of certification. There are Rogue crossfit racks as well to help cater to the XFit crowd which has become more popular the last few years.

I've been actively in the gym for at least 4 days a week for over 10 years now and I have to say this has set the bar for gyms I've attended. I recommend for anyone to just stop by for a tour and you'll see what is making this place one of the most popular gyms in michigan.

I've been going to this gym since I was in 5th grade, through the years I've been to other gyms but none are the same. Within the Past few years a lot of changes have been made, new ownership, complete remodeling, new equipment. I love this gym, everyone is always willing to give you a hand if need be, and it is a complete no judging environment. Just about every week a new machine, or piece of equipment appears. Never a full moment

Jumping the ship. I used to love this gym, but their equipment, prices, and staff attitudes are quickly becoming an major turn off. I have been a member under different owners for the last decade of more anywhere from a few years to a few months at a time, but never have I seen the environment this bad. I called to get current pricing and deals and the lady who answered the phone was VERY pushy. I kept trying to get off the phone because I was on break from a very important meeting, but she kept trying to sell me a membership, ANY membership I didn't want. The deals were not very good, but she kept trying to tell me how great they were (I've seen there equipment, it's a hundred years old, never a problem because their prices were always so low) and she kept trying to get me to buy the year, then the 3 months, then the month, then 6 visits all of which were overpriced. - when several of the other gyms in the area are half the price or less for 24 service and new equipment, pressure of the client does not make the sale better. I tried for 10 minutes to get off the phone, and finally thanked her for the time but told her I had to go and would call back soon to check on new deals. She replied "whatever" and hung up on me. Needless to say, I will not be returning under their current management nor will the other person who was going to get the membership with me, and will not be recommending them to anyone.
