I was interning in the area and a friend recommended Jin. I was slightly hesitant at first because it was a different style of training than I was used to. I play collegiate sports and am used to rigorous workouts everyday but Jin helped unlock a side of me that haven't seen in a while. He pushed me relentlessly but also made sure to check me at the gate for mental health always giving me fist bumps along the way.
Jin is a great person and he truly cares about each and every one of his clients.
For any college athlete in the area, I would DEFINITELY look into his program. He will tailor your program into what he does.
I had back pain, hamstring weakness, and shoulder problems and he was able to put them to rest.

I canβt say enough great things about Uplift Strength Center. Jin has a very thoughtful and intentional approach to personal training. He works in a way that you are helping your body build strength, in all the areas that are needed, without risking injury. To top it all off, he genuinely cares about each of the members. I have been training here for just over a year, and I am thrilled with the results.

Looking for a trainer who really understands how the body works? Then work with Jin Mikami, owner of Uplift Strength Center. Yes, you can build strength with him. Yes, he can help you train for a marathon (he's an experienced marathoner too having just finished a 100-mile race this past fall).
But what if parts of your body just aren't working quite as well as they used to? (hello, middle age). He's got that covered too, helping you regain mobility and foundational strength (that's why I see him). He also has great taste in music making workouts motivational and fun.

Jin is a master at what he does, he's opened my eyes to what a trainer should actually be doing. This is the gym that will fix your problems and get you stronger than ever. And of course I have to mention Andrew and his intense workouts that he tailors to your needs and level. Try the Neubie, everyone needs to try it.
Update: had a rotator cuff injury (not from working out) and the Neubie was a life saver in terms of recovery and pain relief!

I am so impressed by Jinβs knowledge and professionalism and see/feel a big difference using the Neubie DC system -true cutting edge science. The gym is spotless and you can feel the pride of ownership. Excellent facility, trainers, and all around amazing vibe.

Being in the fitness industry for 10 years now I have some idea of what a quality fitness professional should offer/provide to their clients.
Jin does an excellent job of creating an environment where you can grow and reach your goals. He offers a commitment to personal growth always continuing his own education to better serve his clients. His expertise in terms of exercise science are superb and every chance Iβve had in the past to soak up some of his knowledge Iβve taken the opportunity.
I can not say enough about his passion to help people reach what goals they set!
I would also recommend Uplift strength to anybody who is battling injury, aches, pains or released from PT. He is extremely knowledgeable in corrective exercise. He can help you!
Very clean facility as well always cleaning and wiping down equipment. Conventient location as well!

Uplift Strength Center lives up to the task it seeks to accomplish in its name. The positive changes that I have experienced in my life since joining the community at Uplift have been tremendous. The sincerity with which attention is given to myself and the other members who I see training here by the staff has truly inspired me to advance and accomplish my personal fitness goals day after day. The team at Uplift genuinely cares about and invests their energy into monitoring and improving the well being of their clients. They provide a safe, clean, and welcoming facility that follows all of the current COVID-19 protocols and typically exceeds the standards of safety suggested by local and federal health agencies. Jin is professional and knowledgeable. The gym is spotless. I feel safe going in there and I know when leave I will feel energized for the rest of the day. Jin is the consummate professional. His communication, knowledge and preparedness is unparalleled to the 50+ specialists I've seen throughout the last 10 years in trying to "fix" my chronic back pain. Prior to working with Jin, I had lost all faith in figuring out what's been causing my severe back pain - the doctors, PTs, and therapists seemed to only care about getting paid. I am extremely particular in who I trust to work with my back since it has proven to be so sensitive. Jin has proven to be nothing short of a life-saver, and has restored my faith in PT. His greatest attribute is that he, without a doubt, is obsessed with being the best trainer he can be - it truly shows in everything he does. He is so dynamic in that he is able to train anybody no matter their goal - strength, wellness, or even an entire PT regiment - Jin is your man. If you are considering going into Uplift Strength Center or starting an online program with Jin, I would highly suggest him over anybody. THANKS SO MUCH JIN!!!!!

Uplift is an excellent place to get started on your fitness, strength, and mobility goals. The staff is warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the body and the space itself is clean and modern. Jintaro, the owner, has years of experience in nutrition, strength/conditioning, and functional movement, and is wonderful to work with.
The Uplift team is also doing a great job of following all COVID-19 protocols with frequent sanitization, temperature checks, as well as limiting the number of people during training sessions.
If you are looking to get started with a regular workout program or are already doing one but ready to take on more challenge, I cannot recommend Uplift enough.

The individualized training approach Jin uses has a solid foundation in the basics of movement, balance, and longevity. His clients benefit from his own ongoing professional development. I chose this gym for this professional approach. All clients share the responsibility to stay safe by wearing masks and cleaning equipment as we move through our workouts. Uplift Strength Center is the perfect place to work out. I feel extremely safe every time I step inside with their new state of the art equipment and strict cleaning/safety procedures. It is clean, bright, and modern. You will be given one-on-one personal attention from their highly skilled trainer and staff. Every workout is invigorating and positive. The personalized training sessions were geared to my goals. When I arrived for each session, Jintaro was organized and prepared and had a plan in place for the session. If you are looking to have true experts help you to achieve your goals, this is the place! Every staff member is incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend you check them out!

The staff is very friendly and informative. They follow CDC guidelines very well, requiring temperature checks upon entry and requiring masks throughout your workout. The facility is always spotless, which is great during a pandemic. There are always towels and spray bottles available to clean off the equipment.
My favorite part is that itβs not filled to the brim with people. You can easily get your workout in without worrying about having to share too much space/equipment with others.
Highly recommend this facility!
