Absolutely phenomenal coaching program. The knowledge level of the material presented is very high, and definitely different than what you hear everyday from other fitness types. Training sessions were effective, unique and safe. Reached my goals and had a great time doing it.

I find Ken at Wholistic Revolution to be very understanding, knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. I never feel judged despite there being a lot someone like him could judge me about. I immediately felt comfortable discussing medical and personal issues with him that I never discuss with anyone. In turn he knows exactly how to work with me so that I won’t overdo it and just give up. I had trained with a woman who understood nothing about autoimmune, adrenal/ thyroid and hormonal issues who absolutely ran me into the ground twice a week when I wasn’t strong enough for it many years ago. I had been doing everything wrong per her so called expert advice, and that situation led me to make excuses about not working out for many years.
I finally made the choice to pull it together coming out of Covid in 2021, but I am not a self starter in the workout department. I need a competent leader. At the time I was in my early 40s and I’d be utterly exhausted just carrying laundry up the stairs at home. My parents are 30 years older and were able to do more than me on a day to day basis. Life was quickly passing me by and the outlook was not so good for any type of future as I laid around frozen and feeling sorry for myself and the situation I had gotten myself into. I found the Wholistic Revolution online examining various gyms and trainers downriver and felt it would be the right place for me and it was. Like I mentioned above, I was very honest about where I was at in life and luckily for me Ken understood that training is not one size fits all. It was a breath of fresh air. Once I got stronger physically, I got stronger mentally, and so many of life’s challenges that seemed nearly impossible to deal with on a day to day basis for nearly a decade became much easier to tackle. I stand taller now, inside and out. I’m grateful that I met Ken when I did and that he’s helped me so much along my healing journey. If you are here reading reviews seeking a competent trainer I believe you’ve found your man.

I've worked with Ken for years, and my overall health has significantly improved during that time. He's incredibly knowledgeable and has encouraged me to make important lifestyle changes. Ken always answers my questions thoroughly, and his workout programs are intense yet motivating, pushing me to challenge myself further. If you're willing to commit, you'll be more than satisfied with his programs. Highly recommended.

I am at the very beginning of my journey with Ken at Wholistic Revolution, and could not be more pleased with decision to join, and am beyond ecstatic to start my program. Ken is extremely knowledgeable and very experienced, so I know that I am in safe hands. This is the very beginning of my new healthy life, and know that I would fail if I tried to do any of this on my own due to my own inexperience, and there seemingly to be endless conflicting information on health and fitness from the internet. I cannot wait to update my review as my journey here continues. If you are serious enough to commit and want to become a more healthy and balanced person, please do not hesitate to start your journey here!

Wholistic Revolution is a great place for athletes to go if they want to bring their training to the next level. Ken knows how to design a program that will enhance young athletes. Ken and his wife care about their clients and give support outside of training sessions. Wholistic Revolution has the best equipment and is a super clean facility.

I find Ken Poucket to be much more than a “trainer”, I consider him a health coach. WR is a wonderful facility in which to work out, different than anything I’ve used before. The machines are updated constantly and the place is always clean. His style of training along with education has helped me to better understand the need for more water and more sleep. I look forward to our sessions!

Highly recommend Ken and his facility. Been going to Wholistic since 2017 after leaving another downriver gym. I have followed Ken from his location on Maple to his new location on Biddle. Ken has helped reteach me proper form and healthy eating habits. Ken comes with vast knowledge and experience in all things wholistic.

Wholistic Revolution is just that. All encompassing. Basis of core values, nutrition, water, sleep and movement. Equipment is best quality, facility super clean. Personal training sessions are very goal focused. Your goal(s) and being honest, you have to be dedicated to see results you want. I enjoy the depth of conversation, value constructive input, knowledge shared, attention to form and exercise/movement modifications implemented when needed. In closing, No one cares....train harder.

I had a really bad experience at Wholistic Revolution in 2018 with Ken. He seemed likeable, confident, and competent, and I followed him to his new gym from LA Fitness. I was 2 months short of turning 62, and was following with enthusiasm the routine he recommended. This included rowing and picking up a 30 to 40 pound medicine ball off the ground and throwing it over my shoulder. My strength and the time it took to get through these routines, the qualities Ken emphasized, improved, and I was doing 2 sessions a week. But after about 2 and a half years, I had to cancel 3 sessions because my knees got too sore after the sessions. Then I had to cancel the contract because they were so sore that I could barely walk on them, and I didn’t trust Ken anymore. I didn’t do anything else stressful to the knees, but found out I had torn the meniscus in both knees.
Several orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists have told me that people above the age of 50 should not do stressful exercises with the knee when it is bent more than 90 degrees. Ken never mentioned this when I was rowing or picking the medicine ball up off the floor. Did he not know this as a professional trainer? One thing I can say is that through most of my training sessions, he talked my ear off. Did this talking get in the way of his paying attention? He could always teach me new exercises or routines, though. What I do know is that I had surgery in one of the knees to smooth out the cartilage two years later and am now facing a knee replacement in that knee, since the pain when walking on it is getting worse. The other knee will likely go through the same process.
