Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi is a yoga studio in Minnetonka offering holistic wellness classes consisting of yoga, tai chi, meditation, and breathwork based on 5000-year old Korean traditions. We offer a variety of yoga classes for beginners and more advanced classes to energize and heal the mind, body, and spirit.

I just returned from a group Sedona Meditation tour led by Master Hong, and I feel compelled to share my experience immediately. This was my fourth tour with him in Sedona, and I can no longer remain silent about these transformative journeys.
This tour, like all the previous ones, was absolutely amazing. I had a fantastic experience once again as part of the group. It's truly challenging to put into words the depth of my appreciation and gratitude for everything we, as a group and personally, experienced on this tour.
Even with the unusually hot weather this year, Master Hong consistently found every little patch of shade for us to rest and breathe deeply. When our water supplies ran low, he miraculously located water in the middle of the desert and brought it to us while we meditated in a fantastic, newly discovered spot. His thorough preparation for these trips is evident: he explores Sedona by himself, investigating routes, assessing what's feasible, and finding the most beautiful and energetically powerful places on the mountains. These spots offer unforgettable views, a chance to rest, connect with the energy, and recharge.
He guided us through every challenging step up and down Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock, the sacred mountains of Sedona. He led us to peaks with breathtaking views that I personally would never have dreamed of attempting to conquer, yet with him, it felt entirely doable, and sometimes even easy. He even danced and sang for us when we needed encouragement, lifting our spirits and preparing us for the more difficult parts of the route.
Thanks to Master Hong, I now understand how to enter a mountain respectfully, asking for permission, seeking protection during the hike, and inviting the sacred energy to be shared with us. He taught us how to ascend and descend hills without injury, minimizing pressure on our knees, ankles, and legs. I truly feel I received exceptional training on how to climb mountains to get the most profound experience.
The amount of care we received was enormous. He took us to wonderful restaurants and drove us to and from the airport and Mago Retreat center, ensuring we had no worries. During our spare time and shared lunches, Master Hong generously shared his unimaginable wisdomβ€”insights you simply won't find anywhere else.
His level of responsibility for each team member's feelings, experiences, and growth through challenges was truly outstanding. These tours are beneficial for all levels; you will be appropriately challenged whether you are 25 or 75.
I highly recommend these trips to everyone. You'll enjoy a perfect vacation, create unforgettable memories of your experiences and the stunning views, and gain a profound understanding of how much further you can go with a good leader, as opposed to venturing alone. You'll genuinely feel that someone cares deeply for you and loves you sincerely.
I urge you not to wait. This incredible offering will not be available forever. There's an infinite wisdom and eternal love flowing from him, and we must seize this opportunity. Personally, I feel I cannot afford to miss any word Master Hong speaks, any training he offers, or any tour he guides.

Did a sound bath here and it was a very relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Unlike anything ive experienced before. It was very cool to hear all of these sounds be played live and sometimes right above my head. I'm a fan of listening to the different frequencies for calm, especially during work. so it was amazing to hear them live and clear in a session like this.

If I could give this place 10 starts out of 5, I absolutley would.

I have started to write this review so many times over this last year, but my words haven't felt adequate enough to convey how much this place has changed my life.

From my very first class here, something felt different. I have taken numerous workouts classes ranging in intensity. This practice is like an infusion of every one of my other interests - functional movement, energy healing, yoga, pilates, acupressure, brain education, and more. It is an ancient, yet timeless mind, body, spirit practice that addresses all of your systems comprehensively. It is incredibly low impact, but deeply impactful which I love.

Being a part of this community is so beautiful. You can feel the acceptance and love from everyone here. Master Hong is truly one of the kindest humans you will ever meet in your life. He does an amazing job explaining the reasoning behind the practice and he makes it fun along the way.

I could truly write a book as to how much I love Body & Brain - it has undoubtedly changed the trajectory of my life and I am so grateful to have crossed paths with Master Hong and his healing practice in this lifetime.

I have been practicing mind-body-brain yoga for 4 months now and seeing great results! I am much more at peace mentally and physically, less reactive to stress, and more mindful and heart centered towards self and others. I am very grateful for Master Hong with his Body & Brain classes. I have had shoulder problems over the years and now my shoulder is so much stronger with less pain and it is much more flexible. I enjoy the online classes through zoom since i live two hours away. The Body and Brain is suitable for all ages, it is a great feeling of peace with his meditation exercise. I attend the Body and Brain Yoga Tai Chi on-line classes 3 times each week. Accessing the classes via Zoom is easy, efficient, and private. No one is watching. :) Master Hong's verbal and visual instructions are easy to understand and follow. The mediations for each class are much more effective for me on-line - there are no distractions. If you want to stretch, deep breathe, move body energy, and meditate - this is the class for you!

After 39 years of β€œgetting through the day,” I finally see brightness and beauty in my life. I am most grateful for this practice when I am able to be fully present with my children, husband, and best of all, myself! I was devastated when the center had to shut down on account of Covid 19, but I can happily report that the online format is just as good as in-person, and I think my greatest growth has come, partly, from being able to practice in the solitude of my own home. I have joined several gyms over the years, but I never enjoyed going and would primarily go just to be with friends. When I heard about Body & Brain, I knew something was special and unique about the methods taught there. From my first class, I felt those differences! I am not flexible and had never done any type of Yoga before. I now attend 4-5 times per week (unheard of previously for me!) and I can't wait for class because I know I will feel so much better after attending. I am finally MOVING my body! Amazing experience every time I go. The atmosphere is wonderful and accepting. Master Hong makes sure that participants of every level are able to feel like they are getting the most of the exercises. We feel like a little community. It's not just yoga - we are also taught how the body, mind, and spirit connect. There are a variety of workshops offered, and after taking those workshops you learn to look inside of yourself and find balance in life, and to look at life from a different, more grounded, perspective. I had fallen this past winter two different times on the ice, hitting both shoulders and an elbow. Even with massage and chiropractic work, I only had limited range of motion and suffered with chronic aching pains throughout my upper body due to my injuries.
After 2 weeks of daily attendance, I had greater range of motion with minimal pain. And after a full month I have full range of motion in both shoulders and strength returning to my elbow. I have more flexibility, balance and strength throughout my entire body than I've had in years!
The idea of connecting body and brain to bring healing through gentle stretching, movement and meditation is fantastic! I have greater clarity, focus and energy to carry through my day in addition to my body feeling stronger and younger.

Even thought it is called Yoga, it is very different from classic yoga that we are used to. Exercises are way more dynamic, and there is something new every day, so you are never bored.

Brain detox!!!! Being a teacher and yoga practitioner of 10+ years, only after attending classes and Finding True Self Workshop at Body and Brain Yoga I have realized that unless your brain is totally cleared of clatter of doubts and emotions, back to "0" point, there is simply no transformation you do with your physical body is sustainable!
