Course was in great shape. My third time playing there. Second super slow round in a row there. I mean waiting on every single shot for 18 holes is rough no matter how nice the day is. Definitely gonna be a factor in my return decision.

This review is for the instruction at Fox Hollow. I booked a session with Thad, the head Pro at Fox Hollow. I've been loosing my grove and spraying balls too much. Thad had me start hitting short irons, and he videoed my swing. It didn't take him long to show me where my transition was causing most of my ball striking issues. Not dropping my hands and coming over the top. I've never taken a lesson in my life, what a mistake. If you want to get better, having a golf pro look at your swing, and provide you with drills to help modify, and improve your ball striking is well worth the money. Thad is a great instructor! I'll be going back for more lessons for sure.
Thanks!
Keith

The good:
Greens are pretty good
Fairways are fantastic
The setting is beautiful
The bad:
The starter is unhinged & needs meds
3+ hrs for 9 holes on Tuesday afternoon
Tee boxes are junk
The setting is distracting lol

The tee time sign up system is terrible and forces you to tell them everything short of your social security number. THEN, you don't even get to know what times are available. They'll tell you what you can have. What a joke. I'm never golfing here again.

Fox hollow is a hidden gem in Minnesota golf. Hole 3 is absolutely stunning- an island green right on the crow. The course contour really makes every hole feel intentional. Greens roll fast and true. Highly recommend!

Iβm pretty new to golf, but Fox Hollow has made me totally love it! The course is always in amazing shape, and the whole vibe here is super welcoming and friendly. You donβt have to be a pro to feel comfortable out here, and thatβs what makes it awesome. Definitely one of my favorite spots to play!

One of, if not the best course in the state of MN for the price. Great staff and the course is always in great condition! Beverage carts on the course and a nice food and drink shack at the turn, as well as a bar and great food inside the clubhouse. A must play course in MN!

Fox Hollow is a spectacular golf course, itβs in great condition and is a steal for the price. My personal favorite βhidden gemβ in all of Minnesota, 2 minutes from I-94, Fox Hollow should be packed everyday from locals and people passing through. Love every aspect of this place and always have a wonderful time while playing. Tough but fair conditions, not just a driver off the tee golf course, you have to be selective off the tee and make good decisions all day. Cannot recommend this place enough, I love Fox Hollow.

Got no notice of an apparent frost delay yesterday (about a 2pm tee time) so teed off 30 minutes late(thatβs fine)β¦but then the first two holes took an hour with the back up(not counting delay) and then we had a 45 minute wait to hit on hole 3 with 4(!!!) groups all waiting for the boxβ¦absolutely frustrating to say the least and will stay away from here in the future

Iβve had a great experience in the past but this weekend changed my overall view on this course and management. Booked two rounds today - and it was overbooked. No ranger on the course to move the slower groups along. At least 3 groups on every hole. After the first round we had a bite to eat and relaxed in the clubhouse. Had great service from the kitchen staff and bar tender. We had our next tee time at 3:21pm and when we pulled up to the first tee around 3:15 we noticed it was very backed up again with a twosome teeing off and a foursome in front of us. I asked the foursome what their tee time was and they said 3:20pm. How can that be when we booked online 2 weeks ago for 3:21pm? The starter said he doesnβt know why that would be and said he βtakes his orders from insideβ. We went back in and they confirmed we were at 3:21 - and how tee times should be 9 min apart. Obviously, they are over booking and donβt seem to care. We got our refund and called it a day. Really disappointed to not play another round that we planned weeks in advance.
Will not be returning due to the tee times being completely stacked and no ranger or clubhouse staff seeming to care.
With all the course in MN, this is a hard pass. Unless you enjoy no pace of play and over booked tee times.

Very playable course with great contour and terrain. Greens are fast! Must have good irrigation, because it was in amazing condition even in the drought we have had in the cities. I was impressed with the staff and the food is outstanding! Itβs a well rounded golf club and I will be a frequent customer from now on. I had the Chicken Avocado Melt after my round and a brat before. It was very good. A+ in my book.

There is absolutely no reason a round of golf should take 5 hours. Our round didn't actually take 5 hours because we didn't finish after extreme frustration set in waiting 10 minutes on each tee box. 3 groups on the 15th hole was all we could handle. Not worth the price.

Terrible experience. I was golfing with old friends from high school and a couple guys were pretty slow. We asked the couple behind us if they wanted to play through 2 times and they declined. Then they proceeded to tell the manager and he chewd us out. Then they also said we were driving our golf carts on their "native" grass5s, which was totally not true. We apologized for the slow play but will never be back again.

Course was in decent condition. Fairways and greens were nice, although several tee boxes were beat up pretty good. Pace of play on Saturday afternoon was 4:40, waiting on every hole. Fee was $71 with a cart, which is a bit much for this course in my opinion.

It was a beautiful course. All around beautifully manicured. I got to see a lot of the roughs (haha) and I didn't see any tufts of grass anywhere. Greens didn't have any real bare spots except from ball marks, and that's more on the golfers than anything.

Maybe it was a fluke but there were 15 minute waits on each tee box starting on hole 2. There seems to be some sort of an issue with the way the groups were scheduled.
Had to pull the plug today after 9 as we were on pace for a 4 and a half hour round. No apologies or refunds given from the staff - apparently this is βpar for their course.β Good luck out there, all!

Beautiful course! Well maintained and challenging.
They are pretty strict about keeping the pace, though. The group ahead of us was reported for "slow play" and it was a whole ordeal. They were somewhat slow, yes, but honestly it seemed fine to me. This was 3 holes in at noon on a Thursday, for the record. I can't imagine what the weekends are like.
In any case, it felt like a lot of pressure to keep up. The people behind us were constantly hitting the ball to about 10 yards behind us. It wasn't an overly enjoyable experience for me; it felt more like business than fun. If that's you're thing, you'll love this course. If you golf for relaxation, you may want to look elsewhere.

Fox Hollow is my favorite course in the Twin Cities. I love the par 3 third hole over the Crow River to the island green and 15, 16, 17 are challenging and picturesque. The greens are challenging but the ball rolls true. Plus, there is a bench on the 2nd tee box with tribute plaques to two of my dad's close buddies who have recently passed. Hidden gem in the metro area. The course is always in exceptional condition with some of the best greens in the state. Not the longest course in the world, but you definitely need to be accurate off the tee. The fairways are expansive and mowed tight. The rough can be a terror to hit out of if you're a hack like me. After a round of 18, head to the bar inside and grab a pizza or burger. Both are very affordable and very good.
