Aaron is truly an excellent instructor. He balances learning physical techniques as well as mental discipline. Sure, you can learn martial arts at any studio but this one is spectacular due to the messages taught to the kids. The commitment to teaching the kids to have mental strength, discipline, and true confidence sets this studio apart in the best way. Nothing is given, everything is earned. This isn’t the closest studio to my home by a long shot but it is 100% worth the drive (and the awful shared parking lot lol) to have my boys learn these life lessons along side self defense. Thank you to all the amazing instructors at Hive 🩷💚🩵

My 4-year-old daughter has been attending karate classes for a while now, and I’m very happy with our choice. What I really appreciate is that, in addition to physical activity, a lot of attention is given to discipline and proper behavior. The children are taught respect, how to focus, and how to act in different situations — including how to respond when dealing with strangers. These are important life skills. Thank you to the coaches for their care, attention, and thoughtful approach to working with kids!

My 7 year old daughter goes to Hive Martial Arts and loves it.
Its a great mix of some traditional Karate with influences from other martial arts sports . They have always enough coaches during each training session to help each kid individually.
I highly recommend this Martial arts studio for kids !!

My kids used to go I thought I was helping my kids, but they did not learn nothing same thing every day they get tired when I am moving I told him my kids no longer to come here so he says he’s going to cancel my membership he did not cancel June he took out money in my account and and I find out when I ask him. He text message why did you come to my account you told me I’m sorry I should cancel you member ship going to fix it right now and he never fixed come to July and he did the same thing until I go to my bank I cancel to get my money back in July but June I did not receive yet the other problem I have with him he took out my husband account money martial Art stuff we did not receive the stuff we did not get our money back so we decided we’re gonna take a legal action Arnold he’s not a businessman

The staff here is really great. My 5 year old daughter has really enjoyed taking martial arts lessons and is improving quickly. They are very respectful with great communication and positivity.

UPDATE: It's been a year now and Hive has continued to provide excellent instruction during an extremely difficult environment. My daughter is 100% remote and that still works out great. The staff is extremely professional, respectful and accommodating.

Edited Jan 2021 to account for the times. My daughter was a student at Hive Martial Arts for just two and a half years. We made the choice to enroll her in classes after preschool because of impulse control and focus issues and this place came highly recommended. It is one of the best decisions I have made for my daughter. Her impulse and body control has improved, as well as her focus --- so much so that she had absolutely no issues during her kindergarten year aside from being just quirky.
I very much appreciate that the instructors at Hive not only teach martial arts but also the reasoning behind it and the character and values that one should have. They also speak about anti-bullying and self-defense regularly. The instructors are beyond competent, extremely trustworthy, and passionate about their jobs. They believe in teaching practical skills that would work in real life scenarios, even changing the entire lesson plan to answer a student’s question or teach based on a real life event that had occurred. Genuinely great people - staff, parents, and students.
I started taking classes about 6 months after my daughter and have been taking classes for about 3 years. I am now a brown belt. I have gained a lot of strength, both emotionally and physically. I am confident that I can defend myself in most cases. I have become more self-aware and have noticed my presentation and confidence in my professional life have both improved.
When our worlds turned upside down over the past year due to the pandemic they flipped to offering zoom as well as in-person classes. In-person classes follow social distancing recommendations and both teachers are responsible and safe.

We joined Hive early last Fall and our son absolutely loves it! He's gained martial arts skills and valuable character building skills such as focus, respect and setting/achieving goals. My daughter has been doing karate here since the school opened (actually before that as they started with classes through the after-school program). She is now a black belt and still going. The teachers are dedicated and the prices are reasonable; the classes are very inclusive. Your kids will be challenged here, they will have fun, and they will grow. (There are adult classes also).

The teaching is always age appropriate and above all else, fun fun fun! I'm familiar with the classes for the 3-5 year olds and the kiddos are always so energized and pumped after each class. The positive and supportive vibe of all the instructors is really evident in how much the kids love attending and how great they feel after a class. They all have endless patience and treat the children with respect and compassion while appropriately demanding respect and good listening/focus at all times. The karate skills taught are just the tip of the iceberg as so many great life long fitness and self-defense techniques have been a part of the instruction. It's a great group of teachers, students and parents -- no complaints from this parent! It's been a great experience all around!
