West Bloomington National Karate has been an amazing experience for our family! Mr. and Mrs. Jarvi welcomed our family back with open arms! The staff is strict, caring, honest, and truly want the best for their students. Our oldest has his black belt, and our youngest decided to join to follow in her brothers footsteps. The Jarvis even gave our son the chance to teach, which reignited his passion for karate. The staff is always kind and supportive and we’re so grateful to be part of this community!

I am a student and I love it! The instructors are super kind and help me when I am doing something incorrectly. This Karate school deserves 5 stars. If there were more stars I would choose all of them. National Karate has taught me discipline and respect. I am so glad National karate was made.

I just enrolled my daughter and she absolutely loves the classes, the teachers and she’s eating up the whole concept of getting better and earning belts. The owners are wonderful and in a world where everyone is trying to make our kids more lethargic, this class is a God send

We’ve been with this center since 2018. Yes, we have been through the roller coaster ride of instructors change. This center is currently owned by The Jarvis and they are amazing! It’s been a refreshing experience now. I can see the difference in their forms, it’s more crisp and intense. My boys enjoy coming to class every time. If you are worried about bullying at school and thinking about building your children self confidence, learning martial arts is highly recommended.

Bloomington National Karate is the best martial art school around our community. Our kid really enjoy being in the class and not only learn martial arts but other important life skills as well. The kids are trained under the leadership of Jarvi’s, who are managing the school very well. As a parent, we see the dedication, effort and skills to make our kid a better person each day. Thank you so much, Mr. & Mrs. Jarvi. Keep up the good work!

Mr and Mrs Jarvi are truly AMAZING! The whole team here goes above and beyond for their students and families. Mrs. Tursich and
Ms. Ledesma also have had such an impact here. My 6 year old has grown so much in his confidence and disciple the few months we’ve been at this school.

Be very careful before signing your child up. We were very pleased with the center for the first few months. They had a great teacher. She then left and unfortunately it became a revolving door or teachers. Our least month they had several cancelations and then one day we showed up, no one was even at the center. Kids were having trouble advancing levels because each new teacher didn't even know their baseline skills. We were having such a poor experience that we ended cancelling our last few months. We emailed and informed them. Two months later we get a letter from collections - at no point did they try to send us an email to all emails on file or even an invoice to our home. Their contracts are very binding, even if you have a poor experience. During our last few months they tried to get us to sign up for a 36 month contract. We informed them that they needed to change their contract binding language. The owner kept emailing us back, playing dumb, as if we would simply be able to cancel it because he said so in an email - but wouldn't put it in the contract. Kids at the age of 13 shouldn't need to be bound to a 3 year contract - and it's obvious that they send you to collections if you need to cancel. If you're open to a rotation of teachers every 1-2 months, then this may be the right place for you. They will however have no sympathy if you have a poor experience and wish to no longer subject your kid to the experience.

They make you pay at for a whole year in advance, no exceptions. My brother broke his big toe and wouldn’t refund 3 months worth of classes he had to miss because he had surgery and PT! Not a good place of business.

Enrolling my son was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. His self confidence is increasing and his concentration is improving. He is proud to wear his uniform. The staff is wonderful and encouraging and the skills that they are teaching will last a lifetime.

Love this place! We have only been attending about 3 months but my kids love every second of it. They ask everyday if it's karate day - the teachers are so sweet and caring. So glad we chose this location for our karate adventure!!

My children were supposed to attend an introduction class. However, no one showed. I emailed and got no response or apology. I expected more from a karate studio selling themselves as kid friendly. My kids were sorely disappointed. I did notice a very large class, with only sections of the class practicing at a time.
