We made the decision to leave this gym mid season after safety concerns. Our 10 year old at comps, along with her team, would just be dropped with no supervision in a sea of people. Our daughter was also taken home from the gym by the team Mom without our permission which caused a panic. Coming from gyms and sports that participate in safe sport where this would not take place, it was very concerning. We hope the gym changes their practices in the future.

After experiencing an amazing community with a cheer company in another state, when we moved, I was skeptical we’d ever find someplace that could match that level of enthusiasm, dedication, and love for their athletes. Northern Elite has blown my expectations away. This past season has been one of such growth, sense of community, and success that I couldn’t have seen coming. My athletes always want to be there, and I’m grateful they have a place where they are eager to grow and learn and be challenged, a place where friendships have blossomed. It’s no wonder athletes and families literally drive from out of state to be a part of this gym.

I have two daughters at NEA ! My youngest started when she was four. This is a program that teaches girls confidence as well as teamwork. My girls are always excited for practice and have made so many friendships. I've made some too! A great place to be, and it definitely feels like family.

My daughters joined Northern Elite this year after 5 seasons at a different gym. They love All Star Cheerleading but I saw that love and their confidence fade away in the past few years. Their skills started going backwards. We needed a change. Change is difficult but I knew in my heart it was time for a change. My girls were scared because they didn't want to leave their cheer friends and the only gym they had ever known. I was nervous because people tried to convince me that "the grass isn't any greener" or that leaving our old gym meant we were "traitors". Some even tried to accuse me of only leaving because we wanted to be on a winning team. People were wrong!

I went with my gut and my heart when we decided to join NE and couldn't be happier. Winning isn't everything. Sure, it's nice for my girls to be part of a team that is successful but that success is attributed to the awesome coaches and staff at Northern Elite. Every gym has talented kids but what the staff and coaches do with that talent shows in their results. Northern Elite gets results. What's even more important to me as a parent is that my kids have positive role models and are coached to have a strong and positive mindset. Northern Elite has done that for my kids. They encourage the kids. They challenge the kids without putting them into unsafe situations. They treat the kids with respect and don't play favorites. They treat parents with respect. They communicate well and set clear expectations. They are tough when needed but only to the point that it's what is best for the kids and for the gym. They don't pretend to be one thing to your face and then behave like another behind your back. They act with integrity at competitions and, in turn, are setting the kind of example I want for my kids. They have helped my girls grow into stronger and more confident cheerleaders in the short time we've been part of their program and I look forward to seeing my girls grow in the many years to come.

From the moment we walked through the door, we have been so welcomed by the staff and all the families. My once nervous and scared girls couldn't be happier to be part of the NE family. They wear red, white and blue with pride. As parents, my husband and I couldn't be happier. It's exactly the right place for my girls and for our family!! In addition, the new gym/facility is great and the new location (south Bloomington) is convenient for us but those are just bonuses to everything else we love about NE!!

We joined Northern Elite shortly after my daughter recovered from a major concussion she sustained while at a different cheer gym. To say she was hesitant is an understatement. Not only was she nervous about starting at a new gym, with new coaches and teammates, but she was nervous to attempt skills she’d previously had for fear of re-injury. The coaches understood this fear of re-injury and patiently and encouragingly worked with her, helping her gain back her self confidence and abilities. The coaches at NE are simply amazing!! My daughter is back to loving every single moment of cheer, pulling her level 4 skills, laughing and having fun with her teammates with whom she has made incredible friendships, and learning from top notch coaches. She has learned so much more than cheer: teamwork, dedication, perseverance, tenacity, compassion, sportsmanship ... the list goes on. The first place trophies have been fantastic, but they are second to the confidence, faith, friendships and passion she has found. Seeing your child suffer from such a serious injury, and the months of struggle that came with it, was so difficult. I don’t think I could ever thank Northern Elite and the coaches enough for helping my child gain back something she feared she had lost! The smile she shows each day we go to cheer says it all!!

this program really pushes you to your max the coaches are great the athletes are amazing you really make friendships with coaches and athletes , the coaches push you hard if they think you can do it they will make u do it with or without a spot they will teach you new skills they don’t do it by age they do it by skills you can be best friends with 18 year olds or 6 year olds everyone supports you and you have so much fun at this program you just got to believe but northern is the best it really is a fun experience

We contacted the gym with great interest. They had us come in during the practice of the potential team my daughter would be on. The coaches were very welcoming and introduced her to the team and even had her participate in some of the team warm ups. We are now on our 3rd year witj Northern Elite. The gym has the goal for the individual athlete to strive as well as the teams. This is a gym that has taught my athlete as well as myself the meaning of gracefully winning as well as good sportsmanship. #lovetheNortherElitefamily.

We moved to Minnesota a year ago from Canada and our daughter started at Northern Elite by taking tumbling classes to prepare for tryouts for the upcoming season... Right away we knew this was the place for her... The coaching staff is amazing and very helpful. From the minute we walked through the doors we felt welcome. We are now at the gym at least 3 days a week and if feels like a second home to us.. I am so glad we made this decision for our daughter... this is definitely a place where we can see her grow and improve in her skills and confidence in the sport!!

It's our third year at Northern Elite. The coaching staff is amazing and have helped my children how to grow to be well-rounded individuals.
