This was my go to PF when I am town on the weekends but the staff makes you feel like you are bothering them especially if you want the use the spa area. It’s the same younger guy whenever I’m there the weekends except for one time where when it was him and a younger gal, but they sat on their phones pretty much the whole time I worked out. Just doesn’t feel welcoming like the other locations I have been to. I now use the CR location have had a complete opposite experience.

The person who was working in the morning (Eve) she is very rude. Also, they made fill out something so my guest can get in, to be honest it’s the first time I was doing that. Very inconvenient waiting on the front desk for 5 minutes because the WiFi is very slow and I needed to scan the guest code. I thought I’m paying mero for bringing a guest, plus I don’t have time to fill out this for my guest every time. Also, I told her I need to speak with her Manager and she since like she didn’t care at all.

I am ..saddened and upset how much people have been told by the "owner" on here to just go tell someone else. ..if there's no one around or they get no changes seen it think that the higher up aka owner needs to...talk to the managers and workers at this and other locations since there's so many bad reviews amd saying the same thing in the reviews. I haven't used this gym and that's how bad it seems is it makes me not want to go in. One of the things that's off is charging members extra to use the gym instead of one rate, just so they can access it. I recall when I had a ymca membership it let me go to any location. I am going to give it a try and hope someone's at the desk when I go in there but the shower picture was foul and I have a weakened immune system. I'm hoping its been taken care of since then..professionally. as black mold can cause serious health issues. If a inspector seen these reviwes it could close you down from not having a sanitary environment. The picture is so bad it made me cringe so did the picture of a whole team not doing anything and one or more on their phone. Theres nothing getting done at that point. I'm hoping for the best. Hoppe my experience today is nothing like the other reviews. So far off my perception of pictures and what I've read and info on site I give it a 1 star. I will change my low rating to a higher if my experience does not positively alter my current perception

I love the machines the location at the fact it’s rarely busy when I go and they have a good playlist going. But the 1 star is for the workers these are the most unprofessional set of individuals I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing. The black male that wears the hat and is hunched over was for real just working out while lingering he out more 45’s on to lift them. He even lingered on the locker room what is with this guy? My friend even had another story of the woman in the pink hat that she was being disrespectful and can’t understand her voice is louder then it is. The white male could not I swear not stop talking to the woman with the pink hat, and was just rude. Please if a real manager is reading this step in and change this horrible environment

Free weight area could definitely be expanded and the benches are not of good quality. Front desk staff are horrible. Never greet as I arrive or leave, stand around doing nothing or playing on their phone.

I've been coming here for almost 2 years and IT'S HAS BEEN GREAT and staff has been awesome but I started noticing no one is coming to the front for the past few weeks and to use the spa we have to ask someone in the front for help. I look around the entire gym, women's bathroom, I wait around for someone to come but it's starting to look like no one is working at this gym now. Multiple occasions this gym had bathroom stalls "out of order." I've been to multiple other PF gyms countless of times and never have experienced this with them. Management needs to figure this out. Also, to not have multiple scanners for check-in is ridiculous because now the employees get hostile when it looks like you're trying to walk in unwelcomed but unsuspected there not being a second scanner. How about procedurally guide people away from the 1 and only scanner so we can comfortably scan in?

The angled rack for the smith machine is very inconvenient and unnatural to use for an experienced lifter. Should very soon invest into the neutral racks. Don't know who told you they were good idea and if any of the dedicated well-established gyms would ever use such contraptions.

Apparently someone has a key to unlock your changing room doors and was trying to break in while it was occupied.

I’ve been going to planet fitness for a while using my black card membership. You’re allowed to go to any location with the black card.

I primarily go after work to use the spa and I have never had any issues with any other location until I decided to try this new one here in Blaine

“ you know that the guest can’t use the black card spa” I have never heard that sentence come out of any other employees mouth in any other location and that’s just genuinely absurd if we scan in and we pay for the membership. It should be no issue for us to use the membership where Ave we’re going together within the facility

I would like to highlight Saint Paul W. 7th St., Roseville, Mossville for being the top planet fitness that I personally go to, and I have not had a single issue going into the spa or using any of the facilities right away at the desk the lady was immediately combative as soon as we came in She had an issue with us checking in

The gym was decently clean, I was wondering if they could change the channels to cartoons. Tucker, the kind gentleman at the front desk said it was policy they remain on the same channels. Screen 4 was black and obviously off, should definitely have some cartoons on. Colors are more stimulating to the brain.

I’m not sure anyone actually works here. I came in for a 30 minute workout which I hoped to end with a massage. At no point in that 30 minutes was anyone at the desk nor was anyone walking around. I know because I walked around the whole thing. I waited around 10 minutes at the desk after my workout and then just left. Also hair all over the floor of the locker room. Never will I ever come back to this location.

It’s honestly really disappointing how far this location has gone downhill. Every time I come in, the workers are just standing around at the front desk talking to each other or scrolling on their phones. Meanwhile, the bathrooms, water fountain, and even some of the gym equipment are dirty. It’s so unprofessional — there’s always something that needs to be cleaned or checked on in a gym.

There used to be an older gentleman named John who worked here, and he was AMAZING. He actually worked hard, was kind to everyone, and took pride in keeping the gym spotless. He was always the only one on his shift too. Where were the 5 people on shift then? You could tell he cared. It’s just sad to see the difference now.

I really hope management steps up… it’s terrible.

I have submitted a previous google review AND a direct survey to the location AND spoken with a team member and this issue is getting worse. These showers are FILTHY. I unfortunately don’t have the time to go to another location during my work week so I have to use this one but I’m about to cancel my membership and go to crunch fitness. The staff clearly doesn’t listen. There is no way judging by the pictures that this is just a day or two of filth. This is black mold and scum all over. I’m surprised no one has been sick from it. I don’t know much else to do besides cancel if this continues. How hard is it to clean the locker room?

Every other Planet Fitness I’ve been to in the Twin Cities has the upgraded, full-body massage chairs. This one has two old massage chairs, one of which is so broken it’s uncomfortable (and potentially dangerous) to use.

Giving 3 stars because the staff are generally friendly and the place is clean.

Update: It has been over 3 months and the second massage chair is still broken. The manager said they would get it fixed but nothing has been done.

John is an awesome worker with a great attitude and even says he will do my sit-ups for me. Manager Tim is a great personality as well. I would give 5 stars but two things hold me back. First and foremost, I hate that Planet Fitness does not keep men out of women’s locker rooms. Although I don't know that this has been a problem at this location, it’s shameful that they are on the wrong side of this issue, choosing not to keep women safe and comfortable in their private spaces. Second, I wish they had free weight bench presses. Other than that I like PF a lot. Good bang for the buck. But those are a couple of pretty important things. Have half a mind to give them 3 or 2 just because of the men in women’s spaces thing. Shout out to John for doing my sit-ups! God bless!

Avoid going at peak hours and you'll have no troubles, ever.

The staff is always chill and kind. The equipment never is out of order or broken. There's a ton of variety in the equipment and 99% of the time nobody is using the machine I need to use, it never really gets packed except for some weekday nights.

I just wish there was a bike rack near the entrance, the closest one is at Crisp & Green, why not have a bike rack at a fitness facility..? lol

Overall this is the gym that isn't 100% filled with teenagers at all times, avoid Crunch if you also hate that.

The atmosphere is quite stressful since Ryan left. People are not happy. The new staff are not friendly outside a few that will greet you. Maybe the new management think they are too good. I am checking out a few choices. They should be treating customers like family. It has worked for so long. It's pretty hard to change attitude.

This is a good gym. I like the focus on inclusion. You can get a nice workout in with pretty good facilities and machines in a relaxed atmosphere.
There are a couple of negatives despite it being a pretty good place. Certain machines in the gym definitely need to be oiled. Some weight machines are a bit squeaky when you use them or try to adjust your seat.
The main issue here is that if you go after 2 PM, sometimes groups of high school aged kids will come in and literally hog machines for upwards of 30 minutes. For example, today 3/25 I came in between 1:15 p.m. and 3 p.m. Between 2:15 and 3 p.m. there were three kids who looked to be in their mid teens using the bicep curl machine for over 45 minutes. One of them would do a set, sit for 5 to 10 minutes using their cell phone, then trade places with their friend who would then repeat the same pattern. I had gotten through my entire list of other weight machines hoping they would be done after 30 minutes to no avail. I love seeing younger kids be more active, but I really wish they had some type of gym monitor in the weight area to ensure these kids are more timely when they use these machines. I didn’t get to complete my workout today due to the disruption.

I'm not one to review many places, but I like this facility a lot!
I travel for work and therefore have the black card membership. What I really like about this gym is the locker room, I wish my "local" PF had as clean locker room with what I call the selfie stalls.
I found the gym to be normal busy between 4pm and 6:30pm
I was able to use the dumbells I wanted when I wanted never had to wait, I found a bench when needed as well. Plenty of cardio equipment and definitely newer than the equipment at my gym.
The only thing I was unhappy with was the rowing stations on the cable machines, I wish they had a lower rower cable attachment both were mid torso on me wich targets central back and then doing face pulls easily the upper back and shoulders, but I was not able to find a comfortable way to do rows to my belly button. I opted for dumbell and barbell rows for that, which were both available when I needed them. Overall I rank this PF as my favorite in MN, WI, TX, CO, IL
Lastly all the cable machines had clips on them which seems to be an ongoing issue at my gym.

I hope to see more facilities hold this high standard.

This manager at maple grove location owe us an apology rude and if owner would have watch video. Ya can see in her face if there is no sound. My kid is autistic and cause she asked if she was the assistant manager or general manager she said she was being combative and asked her to leave or she was calling the cops. All we tried to do is check in my kid was so upset she couldn’t drive So I went in to take her picture. Just moved into the area. My 2nd time going to this specific Blaine planet fitness because of how close it is to where I live. I felt uncomfortable by the person working this 2nd time. It was between 10-12am Monday . The person followed me into the bathroom as I washed my hands. They came in and quickly glanced at themselves in the mirror and walked out. It felt like being followed while shopping . I know I’m not the only person this happened to and I hope others speak up.

I had a mixed experience at Planet Fitness. The workout facilities were great-clean, well-maintained equipment, and a good variety of machines for all fitness levels.
However, my interaction with the staff was disappointing.
It felt like they were judging me unfairly, almost as if I wasn't "good enough" for a Black Card membership. Really great place to workout. The atmosphere is pretty quiet and everyone is focused on their own business. Staff are amazing - I thought I had left my phone there, and Andrew checked for me. Staff have also gave me band aids.
I have two things that I wish for this place. First, I wish they had curved manual treadmills. Second, I wish they could open at 5 am on Saturday and Sunday. Overall, fantastic and affordable place to workout.

I really wanted to join this gym. However, I'm not interested in giving them my bank account number, a credit card on file and my firstborn. There is literally no reason for this gym to ask for my financial information other than to make it difficult to cancel and other nefarious reasons. I don't see what the issue is with paying with cash or even for the year with a check. It's not a difficult concept. I give you cash, you let me use the gym. I don't give you cash, you don't let me use the gym. I even asked to have someone higher up call me and surprise surprise no one called.

What about the people who don't have bank accounts? The unbanked. For a place that prides itself on non judgment, they sure are judging people who can't have bank accounts for whatever reason. I wanted to join planet fitness, but it looks like I'm going somewhere else because they won't take cash.

Gym is what you would expect in terms of a Planet Fitness. If you are looking to do the Total Body Enhancement (Red Light Therapy) at this particular location, don’t bother. The bulbs have not been maintained and are WHITE not red, which defeats the purpose.

Went in on 3/5/2023 to stop the renewal of my 12 month commitment on my membership. The gal behind the desk canceled my membership charged me 58.00 for early cancelation fee. when i said that's not what i wanted she just fumbled on her words and said she cant fix it. Called on3/6/23 to speak with Ryan the manager per the gal on 3/5's suggestion. Asked is he was available i was told yes, she asked what the issue was, told her, turned out to be the same person as 3/5. All of a sudden Ryan wasnt available, i relied with you just said he was. She then said 1 moment please. came back after 30 seconds and said Ryan said there is nothing he can do and you just have to deal with it. If this is the service you provide people this place needs to be shut down. Your employee made an error and it should be taken care of, its not my issue to have to pay 58.00 dollars due to incompetence. Ill be filing a charge back with bank to recover the money.

One of the best gyms in the twin cities metro. They are meticulous about cleaning the equipment which is great. Clean massage chairs, not too crowded. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Have been waiting outside the facility for or 40 minutes because the doors are locked. Website and doors say open at 6am and it’s currently 815 and the doors are still locked. Multiple other customers outside waiting as well. Completely ridiculous and unprofessional for a gym. Thankfully this isn’t my home gym otherwise I’d cancel my membership and find somewhere else that’s reliable

Planet Fitness is the best club I've ever joined. It's clean and the employees are top notch. I enjoy the water massage table after a nice workout on their wide variety of workout machines.

I have been to several clubs, they are all nice but this Blaine club location is the best! The employees are amazing and friendly and the club is always very clean...they run a tight ship! Glad this is My home club!

Super dirty the last 3 times I went in there. I informed Staff that the womens locker room was filthy and needed to be cleaned. The staff member stated that because he was a male he is not able to clean in there and it would be staying like that.

They cancel your membership without a notice late fees and will charge your card i had un authorize charges on my credit card from this place i had to contact my bank because this place wouldn’t do anything about it thanks to my bank the charges was reversed I would not recommend this location the manager ryan discriminate and also is a rascist

Staff is nice and the place is clean. The people are nice, but the business model is atrocious.

Got charged late fees every. Month. I was out about $50 in one month because of the late fees I was getting charged. Note that this was with automatic billing. I turned off automatic billing and they then claimed I missed another payment on the 1st... when the bill was due on the 17th.

Get that billing under control. I should not be charged late fees, especially when I have AUTOMATIC billing on. The first time I let it slide, but I had to cancel the second time.
