The first thing to greet you will be the ever accumulating pieces of gum on the sidewalk. As a black card member, I wanted to use the spa equipment. The staff person made me go back to the locker room to get my phone and check in again, instead of just looking me up on the computer. Their red light machine has a huge crack in it, but it's supposed to be ok. Their red light machine is also an older version. The lockers haven't been cleaned in who knows how long. I will go back one more time, but it will be to have them transfer me to a different location.

A few great new pieces of equipment with the upgrades but I miss the old ad/abuctor machines, standing glute, and sitting leg curls. It is hard to get tension and make adjustments for your body on the new equipment when ypu can only make limited adjustments.

Crystal PF just got brand new equipment over the weekend 9/28/25 and they have some pretty cool new pieces that I haven't seen at any other planet in the area. They have 3 free weight circuit/dead lift platforms each with an adjustable bench and pull up bar. Was a fun change of pace ending my workout with a 21x3 circuit!

The new “upgrade” got rid of everything remotely beginner friendly.

Been having issues with this location for quite some time. I avoid it all together in the afternoons not because of crowds, but because the afternoon staff is so rude!

Will be looking for a reasonable alternative location or finding a different gym all together.

I used to go to This location everyday & absolutely loved it. I stopped due to moving & going to a closer location. Recently I have been going back to the crystal location & if I’m being honest the new staff here are so rude it’s unbelievable. I’ve been having issues with billing & “the system” as if it’s my fault. I called in for info on the billing & the guy I spoke to was rude & gave very sarcastic tone. He kept saying the same thing as if that would help me understand what he was even talking about. I probably will never return to this location simply from this last interaction I had with him & I hope he wasn’t a manager. won’t make drop just cause this review is public but I wish they would do better & have better customer service.

I haven’t actually started working out at this gym quite yet (just got my membership this evening). I stopped by for a super quick tour to just see the space and get the vibe. Ilan gave a me a tour, answered any questions and after showing me the black card perks- I did end up changing my mind to go with that level of membership! I appreciated the laid back approach and not pressuring me to commit then and there!

I love that it is always open. I love the crowd meter in the app. I love that it's pretty much all inclusive. From changing to workout to shower to post(or pre) work out stuff like red light therapy massage chairs tanning. Although I haven't used those things because I'm a bit shy and haven't wanted to ask to set up a session yet. Though that's all in my head. I love knowing via the crowd meter that I can go when it's not busy and have the run of the gym and do whatever I want. Like I said I'm still a bit gym shy but I see no reason why I won't progress in my goals at this gym. I really enjoy body weight workouts like pull ups dips etc. And there's all sorts of ways to change it up with all the different types of equipment they have. All in all I love planet fitness and OH YEAH the price is much better than others. Get the black card. It's worth it.

Ever since the apartments down the street were built this gym has been plagued by large groups of young guys that arent really working out they are just hanging out and being very loud. I go to the gym late at night to avoid large crowds and for peace and quiet, but tonight there was a group of guys yelling and it was so much noise that I left mid-workout and went to another location to transfer my membership. It was super calm and peaceful and quiet at the new location.

I’ve been to quite a few Planet Fitness locations, but this one was a bit disappointing. Several pieces of equipment were out of order during my visit, and the water fountain wasn’t working either. When I asked the staff about it, I was told only the manager could turn it back on—but I could purchase a bottle of water instead. Not exactly the most helpful or customer-friendly response, especially for a gym that promotes convenience and value. Hopefully management gets more proactive about keeping the facility maintained and accessible for everyone.

This location had a lot of machines compared to other locations and is ACTUALLY 24 hours, 7 days of the week. Most locations are only 24 hours during the weekdays. As a nightshift healthcare worker, this is HUGE for me, accessibility is half the battle sometimes. Thank you!

Having been to most PF in Minneapolis area, this is the only one that makes you check in twice. Once when you come in, the next time you have to go to your locker, get your phone and check in again to use the black card area. Front desk is argumentative and combative. Will not return, especially when there are so many better PF around (try Minnetonka or Maple Grove)

The Planet Fitness located in Crystal, Minnesota advised me that I would NOT be charged the yearly $50 fee if I canceled before a certain date, which I did, and then they charged me $50 the very next week. I called to inquire about the charge and was told I must have asked about the monthly charge and not the yearly charge and was told that I signed a contract and should have known I would be charged. I told the person on the phone that I was very clear about my question about the yearly $50 charge and was told by an employee who helped me cancel my account that I cancelled in enough time and would NOT be charged the next yearly $50 fee. The person just repeated himself and told me I signed a contract and was rude to me. I would have gotten better service from a robot! I would have just kept the membership if I was given the correct information but instead was charged $50 for something I could no longer use. This is the second time this has happened. This also happened during Covid when I had to cancel my membership due to the gym being closed but they again charged me the yearly fee after the membership was closed for 2 months. Never got a resolution back then either. Thank you for blaming me for your incorrect information.

I come in at 5 am 6 days a week and when there, they are always available to help with black card machines and if they are not at the counter they can easily be spotted cleaning the gym. The cancelation is too difficult. You have to go to them and cancel your membership in person. I started online, why can't I cancel online? The other cancelation option is to drive to the post office and mail planet fitness a letter. I keep paying 2 memberships every month because I don't have the time or energy to drive to planet fitness, or I would keep working out. Lbs. I feel like their cancelation policy is intentionally not user friendly, and possibly predatory.

I love Planet Fitness! It's an affordable gym with multiple locations, a variety of equipment for whatever type of workout you desire, it's clean, the staff is usually friendly, the hours are accomodating to most lifestyles, and the ammenities (tanning, red light therapy, and massage) are desirable and rewarding. Also, PF doesn't follow the predatory gym contract model. I always recommend PF to people considering whether a gym membership is "worth it" or not.

It's a solid gym with polite staff but some of the people that go here are strange and intrusive at times. They also spray the gym with fragrances when it gets too crowded and that is understandable to a point but at times they spray cologne and perfume and that is distracting and gives you a headache when you're in the middle of a workout and take a deep breath of chemicals. I honestly don't think they should be allowed to do that with heavy sprays like cologne and perfume.
Honestly it's a good place but if there's another 24 hours Planet Fitness bear you or just a little further, choose that one. Besides that they do have good equipment and a lot of space.

First they lose my cancelation contract and still keep taking money out of my account. Called millions of times and finally got hold of someone who told me that the current location is not my home club and that I need to go to Roseville. How is that possible when I opened the account with the Crystal location, and now I am being told to go to Roseville? Daniella and Darian were working at the time of my workout, and I had lost one of my headphones in a hard to reach place. Darian was very helpful and let me know that once the manager was in the next day he would be able to remove the thing blocking access to that area and could grab the headphones. He even made a note with my name and information for the manager. To my surprise a few minutes later, Daniella was able to reach the headphone and retrieved it for me, completely unnecessary, but extremely appreciated for Daniella to do that for me. Overall, these two are very friendly and helpful, needless to say I’ll be returning to this gym for a very long time as well as recommending all my friends and acquaintances from now on. :) :)
