I hurt my self dropping the weight because the staff decided to turn off the lights 7 minutes befor 10 pm, to kick us out. This gym used to open 24 hours except friday and weekends. I am not asking to do that again but, would you consider open it untill 11 pm or 11:59 pm. I don't want to drive 15 minutes to fargo location every time I want to workout.

So, I used to have a membership a few years ago when I first started lifting. I have a good home gym and also go to a larger one. I added PF at this location because it is close for me and is that no excuses place when the weather gets bad and I need to get out of the house. The gym is solid and PF is a great option. I recommend it for the use i have, to get started, to stay motivated, etc. (And, the massage chair and bed is also a nice bonus too!

I usually come in the am. But this time I came later as to my work schedule being changed. I wasn't very happy with the front desk guy. He seemed very uninterested to do do his job. I also seen that the bathroom stalls were out of bathroom tissue. All these I can get over the main issue was when I went to use the shower. In the furthest shower stall where the seat is I seen a bunch of either collected dirt or a growing of mold on the curtain . I didn't notice this until I was almost done with my shower. I was very grossed out. When I worked at planet fitness almost 10 years ago my manager would of fired me if the store looked this bad in the changing room.

l come here maybe once a week, not very often…. as I get way better service and treatment from front desk workers in Fargo.
When I come in here and I am waiting at the front desk EVERYTIME for someone to come to the front desk to assist me with my Black Card Services. Yet, everytime I find the employees in the back break room. Once i waited 30mins for someone to return and they quickly helped me and the 5 others waiting then went back to the break room. The beds are never clean, the workers/employees are always MIA… at least i know where to find them everytime now…. sitting in the break room. shittiest PF ever.

Never made it inside. I was pulling a trailer with my 1 ton truck and was told that I would be towed as soon as I got out of my truck. I travel for work and I pulled in around 1pm, organized paperwork and waited for a guy to come pick up a key from me. It was 4 pm when he got there and I went to go inside and I was stopped by who I assume was the owner and told to move now or be towed. If you drive a truck and travel for work, you are not welcome here. Go to the next planet fitness on the map. This place had a man walking around looking in everyone’s cars too.

Moorhead staff is twice as friendly as Fargo. Overall though, a decent gym as long as people honor the concept of wiping down their machines after use. I notice people skipping that more so at the Moorhead location than the Fargo, unfortunately. Also, Fargo keeps cleaner spray in tanning rooms, which is nice to know you can clean it just in case it's dirty. Fargo tanning rooms are also much bigger, just bring eyewear or be prepared to purchase some at either location ($4, can't tan without visual).

Update 1/3/22: there's now a hook on the door to hang things and spray in the rooms. Still just a stool otherwise and no mirror (fargo has a small table, chair, and door mirror) ... staff at this location is a tad more nonchalant and aloof, but I generally don't mind.

Update April 2024.... distracted staff on phones and gossiping while people wait and floors have random garbage and paper lying about... and dried blood on the floor of a tanning bed with 11 bulbs out and slimy handles, with an empty garbage.. did they empty the garbage and not clean the bed? Has it just been empty all day and never cleaned? Hard to say.

Equipment I used clean and in good shape 2 hydro massagers 1 lays flat the other was recliner shaped...2 of the older coin operated massage chairs ....men's bathroom clean well stocked, lukewarm showers I thought maybe it was a tankless system I turned them all on and waited for 5 minutes still no hot water it wasn't busy that day I can't believe the water temperature lukewarm in this cold climate ...but that hot water is a major expense...I get it.

I like this gym better than others I tried out. It feels comfortable, clean, and the instructions on the equipment is very helpful. I did notice one particular man following me and another couple of girls, not once but the last time I was there as well. Not working out at all, just starting at us with his phone out. I talked to the guy working and I was really happy he listened to me and took care of it. I would never say anything if I wasn’t truly concerned for not just me but other girls there and I was scared no one would believe me or care but now I’m even more comfortable going there knowing they care about those of us working out there.

I joined the Moorhead location in December and feel comfortable giving them a high rating after 3 months.

I started working with the personal trainer from the start. Kianna talked with me about my goals for joining a gym and what I'd been doing in previous workouts. She designed a plan for weight-lifting that gives me a good overall workout for both the upper and lower body and core strengthening.

The location is clean, I rarely have to wait for a hydro massage bed or massage chair, the cleaning stations are kept stocked, and I appreciate the welcome from the staff each time I check in.

Both hip abduction machines have been broken now for over a month. Complaining to the front desk does no good. They say the maintenance man is in MPLS and only comes to Fargo periodically. They are aware the machines are broken but have no idea when they may be back in operation. Maybe another month or two? Who knows. If you don't mind paying for a membership to a gym with broken equipment the front desk staff is friendly.

My biggest beef with Planet Fitness is this, in a day and age like this it should not be necessary to go to a location to cancel your membership. In my opinion they are counting on you having your membership a little longer as a result.

I love planet fitness but these day they’re not as professional as they used be. I’m really frustrated because on several occasions I would come and they’re closed when there Business hours says otherwise like right now 10/8/21 at 12am I’m sitting outside with two other customers. There is no note or anything explaining why they’re not open when they should be. There hours is always changing. I understand they had to close couple of times because they didn’t have staff but if they paid more than $11 an hour they would find people to work there.

Earlier this year, we transferred to West Fargo from NC. We were glad to know that were a couple of Planet Fitness locations nearby our new home and that we could transfer our Black Card memberships.

I visited the Fargo location and wasn’t a fan. I didn’t like the pot-hole filled parking lot, low ceilings, or the dirty tanning beds.

Since the Moorhead location is only a couple of minutes further from me, I decided to give it a shot.

The Moorhead location reminded me much more of the Planet Fitness locations I knew from back home. The gym is clean, the staff and clientele are friendly, and the setup is great.

I wish that there were a few more machines (for example, there are several machines that are exclusively in the 30 minute workout area - and it makes it inconvenient to try to work in with others or do a quick set).
