I’ve been a member of Rise Training and Fitness for the past nine months, consistently training 2–3 times per week. During that time, I’ve taken full advantage of their personal training, nutrition counseling, and progress tracking services. Not only have I lost fat and gained muscle, but the most impactful part of my journey has been the support I received from the coaching team as I navigated a difficult knee injury.
I first joined the gym because I was struggling to train on my own at home due to my injury. As someone who works from home, I also wanted to be more active in a social environment. I knew I needed professional guidance to stay active safely, understand what I could do, and most importantly—prepare for an upcoming knee surgery, recover from it, and still make fitness a priority.
From day one, the team was incredibly accommodating and understanding. They designed personalized workouts and modified them whenever needed. They guided me through both the physical limitations of my injury and the emotional frustrations that came with not being able to push as hard as I wanted. As surgery approached, we continued to train with intention, focusing on building strength and mobility.
I had the same surgery on my other knee two years ago, and it took me nearly six months to feel like myself again. This time, thanks to the training and coaching I received both before and after surgery, I felt back to 100% in less than two months.
Today, I feel stronger, more mobile, and more confident than ever. I can see a noticeable difference in my body—even after all the obstacles I’ve faced over the last nine months. I’m genuinely excited to return to more challenging training and continue pushing myself. With this new strength, mobility, and perspective on my health, I can’t wait to see what the next nine months will bring!

My journey started from Chase’s mom’s garage 7 years ago. I was a grandma of 5 at that time and knowing if I wanted to be able to keep up with these little people I needed to do something. My goal has always been pretty simple. Stay healthy and active so I can be around a long time for my family. I was having issues with my lower back and sciatica. Since being at the gym I feel so much stronger and no longer have the issues I was struggling with. The coaches are wonderful and amazing! I am not sure how I would be feeling without them. I feel so grateful!

**A life-changing experience at Rise Training and Fitness**
Before I jump into my review, I have to tell you a little bit about me. I’m a 59-year-old male with a genetic heart condition (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) that I was diagnosed with ten years ago. Back then, my cardiologist told me to limit my physical exertion — walking and golf were about all that was considered safe.
In late 2021, my condition worsened, and I had a pacemaker and ICD implanted just before Christmas. Between my medications and a desk job, I became overweight, out of shape, and often short of breath with even mild exertion. I reached a point where I wasn’t sure if my symptoms were from my heart condition or simply from being out of shape.
I knew I needed to make a change — not just to lose weight, but to regain my health and confidence. After talking again with my cardiologist, I learned that moderate exercise was now encouraged for people like me. That’s when I started looking for a place that could help me safely rebuild my strength and fitness.
Meanwhile, I kept hearing about RISE. I’d get a card in the mail or hear someone at church mention they were going there, and I started to wonder if it might be the right fit. I talked to my cardiologist again, got my wife’s all-important buy-in, and started digging into the RISE website. When I read Chase Morlock’s story about founding RISE, it really struck a chord.
I called Chase directly, shared my background, and asked if he thought his team could handle someone like me. Next thing I knew, it was Friday and I was meeting with a coach for a pre-assessment at their incredible facility — and by Monday, I had started my journey back to fitness.
That first day, I was nervous: What would the coaches be like? What if my heart acted up? Would everyone else be way ahead of me? Could I even do this?
But I made it through that first workout — and the next. The coaches were fantastic. The other members were supportive and kind. I committed to going three days a week, and I’ve kept that commitment. Now, nearly two months in, I feel great! My lightheadedness and shortness of breath have all but disappeared. I feel stronger, more mobile, and genuinely healthier.
I’m not trying to be a bodybuilder — I just want to feel better, live longer, and be there for my wife, children, and grandchildren. I truly believe the RISE family will help me achieve that.
If you’re looking for a supportive, knowledgeable team that can meet you exactly where you are and help you safely become the best version of yourself, I can’t recommend Rise Training and Fitness highly enough.

This is the place to go to get stronger. The focus on functional fitness and injury-free training is outstanding. I have been to many gyms, worked with different trainers, and the set up that Rise has is the best I have seen. It is the perfect combination of guidance, tracking, and help with form & progression, but you don't have one trainer hovering over you every single second which I appreciate!
I need to show up, have a good workout planned, and get on with my day. This is the most efficient I have been in that department. You don't have to think, just show up and the rest is taken care of.

I came to Rise knowing what an awesome place it was for my three kids while they were in high school athletics trying to gain speed and strength. Recently, I was looking for a gym where I could learn and grow and not feel intimidated in the process and Rise was the absolute best choice!
I am a runner who wants to keep running as I age and I knew after my first workout that I had chosen the right place! The trainers have this way that makes you feel right at home even if you aren't the most comfortable in a gym setting. I have learned so much and continue to each time I am there. If I could, Rise would get a 10 from me. I have never been a “let’s go to the gym” type person. I have tried multiple times and places because I knew it was something I SHOULD DO for better health. It didn’t take long and I would decide to miss a day, then another and soon I was paying for a membership I did not use. I also felt lost, not knowing exactly what to do. I would get the basic intro to machines, but never felt like I got any stronger. The folks that went just did not ‘look like me’; an overweight senior.
The trainers and other members at Rise take an interest in you from the moment you walk in the door! It is a community of folks trying to improve their fitness while encouraging the others there. In my first month, I have lost pounds, inches and I can move in ways that had been lost to inactivity. There is
accountability, which is missing from the other gyms I tried; and I NEED accountability! There are seniors, middle aged, and younger clients, all who welcome the new person in the group.
The staff are professionals who know what they are doing. Each Rise member has a program designed just for them! If you have struggled with fitness, give Rise a try!

I rarely put myself out in public view, but for this review I have to a little.
I searched for over a year to find a gym and/or a personal trainer, with no luck. Mostly because it was so far out of my comfort zone. But I finally just picked one and ended up with Rise.
It has been the best decision I have ever made. I suffered for years with depression and other physical ailments and I got sick of feeling sick all the time. Rise has helped me get used to moving in a healthy way so I don't hurt myself and so I can build my strength back.
It is pricey but it been SO worth it! The trainers are great and so are the owners.
I highly recommend this gym to anyone, especially people who are looking to get healthy in a safe and productive way.

I started at Rise Training and Fitness in January 2025 after a friend gave me a free month. Investing in my health had been on my mind for a while, and Rise turned out to be exactly what I needed.
From the moment you walk in, the coaches are encouraging and ready to “fire you up” — I get a “Fire up Steve!” every time I enter. I was an athlete in high school over 20 years ago, but back then we just did the work and moved on — I never really learned proper lifting technique or why certain exercises mattered. At Rise, the coaches give you personal attention, explain the why, and make sure you’re doing things the right way. I honestly didn’t want to like lifting because I never saw results in the past — but now I do, and it’s because of the support and guidance here.
All of the coaches are fantastic. They gently correct form, spot you for tough reps, and encourage you to push for one more set. I was struggling with squats until I did an athletic assessment, and a coach helped retrain my muscle memory — learning to squat to the right depth, push out my knees, and keep my back straight without arching. That simple change made a huge difference in my results.
The facility is clean, the equipment is great, and yes — the water is cold! Workouts are structured in four-month cycles focused on power, strength, endurance, and hypertrophy. This approach has improved my balance, fixed nagging shoulder issues, boosted my energy, and led to visible results. They also use InBody scans to track progress, which has been a great motivator.
I didn’t join with a goal to lose a ton of weight — I just wanted to feel better, get stronger, and be healthier. But in the process, my body fat percentage has dropped from over 20% to below 17%. Scheduling is easy through their app, and the investment is worth it — plus, my employer’s HRA helps offset the cost.

As someone who’s been around the block a few times, I can honestly say that finding a gym like Rise Training and Fitness has been a real blessing. In my experience, most gyms have a certain atmosphere or pressure to them. Rise is different in a very positive way.
From my first day, I felt welcomed into a fun, positive and supportive environment. There’s no judgment, or pressure to keep up with anyone else. I have loads of fun working out at Rise. It is often the highlight of the day. This makes it easy to be consistent as it is very enjoyable. Whether you’re young or old, new to fitness or experienced, you feel like part of a community.
They took the time to understand my personal goals, any limitations I may have, and tailored a plan that’s right for me. It’s not about pushing me to do things I’m not ready for; it’s about helping me succeed at my own pace. This has had a huge impact by reducing my weight, and lowering my BP and cholesterol. The nutrition program is combined in a very effective way.
With the help and guidance of the highly skilled and supportive trainers, I have made significant progress—not just in strength and endurance, but in my overall health, all thanks to their thoughtful approach to fitness and nutrition.

I cannot say enough positive things about this gym. First of all, the owner Chase, and the trainers genuinely care about each and every member. They know everyone by name, and greet me by name as soon as I enter the gym.
As a 55 year old woman, I feel welcome, comfortable, and motivated. The trainers pay close attention to my form and to anything that may be hurting or less flexible. They are well-educated and experienced in fitness, and I feel very safe in their hands!

I joined Rise Fitness and Training in March after my 70th birthday. I had been in relatively good physical shape but realized I needed to focus more on strength training.
After an initial evaluation and consultation, Chase, Megan and the staff at Rise put together a program that was individualized to my needs. Over the next few months, I was able to increase muscle mass, endurance, flexibility, balance and stability.
The class sizes are limited to 6 people, so it is almost like having a personal trainer. The staff is tremendous. They are friendly, personable, motivating, professional, and truly want to help you achieve your fitness goals.
Maybe the most important aspect of Rise is the sense of comradery you develop with the other members. It is truly a welcoming atmosphere.
Rise is a tremendous organization and I highly recommend contacting them if you are considering making an investment in your health.

I had a terrible fall down a fairly significant flight of stairs yesterday. (Super embarrassing BTW!) Immediately after, I had some pain in my ribs on the right side of my back so I was a little concerned about a cracked rib, but overall I was doing ok. On my drive back to work, my left foot was starting to hurt. This concerned me as well because Mark and I are going hiking in Banff in less than 2 weeks. I decided to go to the walk in for X-rays. The PA at Sanford Walk In was wonderful. The X-rays showed that I did not have any broken bones in my foot or any cracked ribs. Just a sprained foot and bruised ribs. She said I would be good to hike in Banff. She also commented that I have very strong bones. I credit this with the strength training I have been doing at Rise Training and Fitness for the past 6 years. I highly recommend strength training to everyone as you get older. I love my gym and am very thankful for all of the amazing trainers we have. Thank you Chase Morlock for your commitment to the health of our community!

I originally joined Rise to lose some weight for my daughter’s wedding this summer. My goals were to lose some weight and strengthen my core area as I have had low back issues in the past.
I’ve felt an amazing transformation of my body. I did lose some weight but I’ve gained so much muscle strength and new found energy. Not only the workouts, but the trainers are wonderful and guide you along with the exercises that they want you to do. And if, by chance you can’t do that specific exercise, they will adjust it to what you can do. The people that go to Rise are fantastic. We joke, support and encourage each other. I can’t say enough good things about Rise, the trainers, and the members. I’ve been doing personal training with Chase for about 8-months and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health. I’m still working through gaining my mobility back after a poor outcome from a knee surgery and Chase has played a pivotal role in getting me to where I am today. He’s helped me realize that while my mobility may be limited, I can still build strength in other areas and has focused on those areas in the workout plans that he creates. He’s also gone above and beyond in terms of researching and integrating exercises that could help with my knees and collaborates with my physical therapist to help reinforce what I’m doing in PT. Whenever I experience a setback, he is able to modify and shift the plan to meet me wherever I’m at in that given moment / day and he pivots with the challenge with joy, enthusiasm, and excitement. And if you know Chase, then you know that his excitement and “fire up!” attitude is palpable.
While I can’t speak to the Elevate program (one day!), I can attest to how great of an environment that the trainers and members have created. It’s probably the most supportive, friendly, encouraging, and fun gym atmosphere that I’ve experienced. The trainers know your name and take time to get to know you and the members are always having fun and building one another up. It’s an amazing community and when I’m not focusing on my lack of coordination, then I’m either laughing or absorbed in a great conversation.
I could go on for days, but the TL;DR version is this: If you’re looking for an awesome gym with knowledgeable trainers, great workouts, friendly people, and a supportive community, then definitely check out Rise. It could very well be the best decision you make for yourself!

I went in to check out Rise, and try a class. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and did a great job walking me through their format and movements. Tim coached the class I was in, and I could tell he is very good at helping people cater the movements and intensity to their fitness level, and to any tweaks or prior injuries they may have. The environment was very motivating, and the workouts seem to fit well with any level of fitness. I would definitely recommend this gym, and will absolutely be returning myself!
