if I could give more than five stars, I would, without hesitation. I’ve worked out at a handful of gyms, and SOTA is the only one that has exceeded all my expectations. Phil is the most honest and caring owner/coach I’ve ever met; he genuinely wants what’s best for you. Having a gym that follows your journey and knows you by name is priceless. Coach Sean brings a consistently positive attitude that pulls me through the days I don’t feel like showing up. I’ve trained with Coach Rob a few times as well, his upbeat energy always helps me push through. Coach Rob is amazing! He’s helped me figure out how to balance calories for both strength building and weight loss. He checks in regularly, gives great guidance, and it’s all included with your membership. I will never go to another gym.

I've been going here for a little over 2 months and have been loving it! Rowen and Sean are great coaches who really listen to me and tailor my workout according to my preferences and abilities. I love that I can track my progress with actual numbers from the InBody scanner to see how much muscle I've put on since starting. I also appreciate that I can book and reschedule sessions through the app. I've always been able to find a session time that works for me if my schedule changes. Lastly, I love the concept of the 30-minute sessions with a trainer, followed by "homework" exercises that you do on your own.

I have been training with SOTA for several months, and it has been a great experience. The trainers are all skilled, supportive and very nice. Also, the atmosphere is very inviting - it's nice just to be able to drive up to the facility, be greeted by several people who have gotten to know me, and be able to start immediately. The app makes it easy to schedule and keep track of appointments. In other words, SOTA removes barriers to starting and maintaining a workout routine. I recommend it very highly.

I’m approaching four months of workouts with the SOTA crew, and I could not be happier. I've enjoyed getting to know quite a few of the coaches and they are all really good. The facility is very accommodating to my schedule, which is a subtle perk but very much appreciated. I do have to give a shout out to Coach Sean! He does a great job keeping tabs on how my training is going and helping me adjust things as needed. He's attentive and encouraging, but gives you space to "just do".

My husband and I have been working out with Sean at Sota Fitness for the past few months- and it has been truly amazing! I have worked out with personal trainers on more or less a steady basis for over 25 years. Over the last year I have been working exclusively with the personal trainers from SOTA Fitness, primarily Blake and Sean. I would say that they collectively have provided me with some of the best training of my life and have shown a real interest in the broader spectrum of my health, including things outside of fitness such as diet, sleep, balance, etc. I very much look forward to the time of the day I get an opportunity to work out with these guys. I always both feel good afterward and take something away from the experience. I will also add that I had rotator cuff surgery 6 months prior to joining SOTA and they have been awesome in working with me through a rehabilitation from that surgery while also working on the parts of the body that were not impacted. Overall, nothing but positives to say about these guys. They never miss a session, they always have new and different exercises for me to try and very much challenge me on a daily basis.

The trainers track each person’s progress and devise a set of exercises for each session that help you to achieve your goals in a safe and effective way. Sean ensures that I am using the correct posture when executing an exercise and, because of his expertise, I am stronger and more confident when working out with him or on my own. The owner, Phil Schrupp, makes sure each client is on track to achieve their individual goals and comes up with fun ways to everyone motivated. So much better than the big name gyms. Blake is my primary trainer at Sota and he is getting me exactly where I want go. He is awesome. 4 months in, and the results are staring me in the mirror every day. If I need to reschedule, they are super flexible to get sessions rebooked to a different day/time or even with a different trainer. I've also worked with Sean when Blake wasn't available, and he is awesome to work with.

This is personalized training - They chart your progress, make sure you're increasing your weight on your lifts - challenging you every single session. Giving you homework, things to work on, on your own. I used to pay for 1x weekly PT sessions at Lifetime. Sota delivers a much more personalized approach with many more services and more sessions per month for LESS. It's a no-brainer, if that's what you are looking for.

Nothing but love for Sota Fitness!

It's gotten me, a mom of 3, back to a healthy place both physically and mentally. I take a quick 40 min lunch workout so that it doesn't get in the way of spending time with the kids.

The workouts are always challenging you in new ways. It's such a relaxed but fun environment that I now consider part of my regular routine after 1.5 years of consistency. Something I never would have imagined back in my busy life.

SOTA fitness is a remarkable gym. I keep returning even though it’s a travel across town. The coaches and staff hold me accountable, listen to me, provide excellent feedback and develop challenging, yet workable plans. And I feel safe (necessary for a girl in her seventies).

Hands down, the best personal trainers; to name a couple Rob & Sean! They know how to push me while working around my old injuries, they motivate me, and they actually listen - something I’ve never received from anyone else. I’ve been pushed too hard by younger trainers at other gyms, but the trainers at SOTA are experienced and will take great care of you. Four months ago I decided o lose some weight to relive some leg soreness and pick up my energy. Being 63 I expected the weight loss but to be harder. Then I researched the SOTA Fitness possibility and down 22 pounds, gym workouts are way more effective, I'm flying thru my day to day activities and my job performance has improved.
The best part is I never felt like I was on a diet...because I wasn't. After consulting with Phil he assured me I wouldn't feel the hunger pangs resulting from processed food since he gave me so many delicious and filling options.
Don't let age be a factor on whether or not to be motivated to get fit again. All you have to do is look into the SOTA Fitness program rather than a popular diet program.

I had been looking for personal 1 on 1 training for over a year before I discovered SOTA Fitness. I was looking for a personal training experience that wasn’t solely focused on group training, could help jump start my inactivity due to knee and shoulder surgery’s and was affordable.

I found “everything” I needed when I discovered SOTA Fitness.

I had worked with a personal trainer in the past, so I knew what I wanted and needed when I first met with Phil (owner of SOTA Fitness). Phil and I discussed at length my goals, what his club offers and the training styles of each personal trainer currently at SOTA Fitness.

I didn’t need to think twice about committing to SOTA Fitness.

I have been working out twice a week at SOTA Fitness, splitting my time between 2 trainers (Rachel and Elliot), each with their own style of training. What I appreciate about the trainers is their interest in my wellbeing. Each session starts with a warmup, followed by a Q&A about how my week has been, how am I doing after the last training session, questions about how my knee and shoulder is doing, is there any concerns I have that my trainer should be aware of. AND, they let me provide input on if there is any specific areas that I want to work on.

I can’t say enough positive things about SOTA Fitness, the owner (Phil) and the trainers (Rachel and Elliot). I highly recommend SOTA Fitness

Right when I reached out Phil was quick to respond-- even taking the time to reach out on 4th of July to let me know he got my inquiry. He handled my consultation and got me set up right when I arrived. I have been able to try out a few different trainers and can say everyone has been great so far, but Rachel fits my personal style the best. Rob led a really fun class, and Ben was great as well. If you get intimidated in gym settings, try this gym-- everyone is so nice and friendly and you get immediately greeted upon walking in so you don't feel out of place. If I lived here I would come here regularly and make it my home gym. Its a great experience and the customer service is on point.

As an avid endurance athlete I don't really enjoy lifting but SOTA and their trainers have completely changed the game for me. I appreciate the staff's flexibility/ability to avoid areas that are sore. They easily adjust my workout on the spot as needed and yet I am always challenged enough. I am particularly happy that each week I feel the progress I am making in my posture. I used to suffer with head/neck pain daily but that is so rare now despite my career. They have helped me more than going to a physical therapist did. I have worked with several of the trainers and they keep record/communicate my strength/abilities efficiently every time. I also really appreciate how encouraging and professional they are. I never liked exercising in a gym atmosphere in past but I feel very comfortable at Sota.

I was really impressed by SOTA Fitness! I found SOTA on Class Pass and was convenient to book. As a bodybuilder, I prefer to lift at the gym but this class made me feel great and gave an amazing workout. My first class was lower body with Kristine and my second was upper body with Elliot. Both instructors went through each movement and gave fantastic explanations. Both instructors made sure to walk around the room, motiving all of their guests.

SOTA fitness was clean, a lot of parking, and had lots of different equipment.

Worst gym I have ever been too! But if you want a gym where:
1. The owner lies when he says he can do what you want but really can’t. and does a salesman’s smile.
2 very disorganized when it comes to their training staff goes back to the lies they say they have a trainer makes you believe they do and don’t

3. A gym that smell like mold! Also very bad carpet where you can trip.

4. Very bad communication. No return calls you have to keep calling

5 very limited equipment and old

6. Trainers that are not qualified and don’t want to work you out and don’t hear your issues.

Then this the gym for you! I am so glad I did not go with this poor service of a gym. After I went I. For a conversation. Where I wasted my weekend because he promised me he could fill what I needed before but he knew all along he could not. Pete is the worst. He knew for a fact that he could not do what I wanted but yet still made lies. No don’t go west of time and money.

I had a bad rotator cuff injury when I first started training at SOTA. Just started the program, but I like the level of accountability Sota offers with MyFitnessPal, emails, and texts. I also like the efficient workouts, nutrition help, and recovery help. They care about the whole process not just the workouts. :)

Update: Judgement Free Zone! Each trainer is positive and motivating without adding too much pressure; they encourage safety and proper form above all else. They are very knowledgeable on how different exercises/movements operate for different body types, and adjust the workouts accordingly. These aspects have made our experience excellent. We have learned a lot, not hurt ourselves, and grown in strength. We love SOTA!

Update: Absolutely every trainer is friendly, non-judgmental, and relational. We have been at Sota for over a year and worked with 4 trainers throughout that time. Each was a different experience and style, each offered different challenges, but we have never felt uncomfortable. We have definitely grown in strength and endurance, we've been sore, we've been pushed to work hard, but never judged or pressured.

I've worked with a lot of trainers, and Phillip is one of the very best. Phil is an excellent personal trainer. His group classes are also very good. I've lost almost 20 pounds since December 2015. I have had the best experience since signing up at Sota Fitness and I would highly recommend this gym. I first registered as part of a six week challenge (where I lost 11 1/2 pounds and 7 inches)! I was taught proper form during the workouts and there was also a very helpful nutritional piece (including recipes) built in to help you succeed. I ended up continuing on after the challenge was over because I love so many things about this place. As a busy, working mom, I struggled with making my workouts a priority. One of the things that I love about Sota is all of the workouts are pre-planned, always different, and always challenging (but scalable). It allows everyone, at any level, to get a great workout at every class. I also love that I can show up exhausted and not have to think about what I need to do. I just have to follow along to get a great workout. The trainers (all of them) are extremely knowledgable and truly care about each member. They walk around class to help with form or questions and they are always cheering you on. It’s apparent that they love what they do and that they are doing what they were meant to do. One of my last Sota loves is the community atmosphere. Everyone is extremely supportive to one another and wants to see others hit their goals. Going to Sota has been much more than just a gym to me and I am very grateful to have found such a great workout family. Thank you Phil for your constant help and motivation! You can be very proud of the community that you built.
