I signed up for a weight lifting class here. I arrived early to park etc. I spent 15 minutes looking around for it and couldn't find it. I tried calling; it went straight to voicemail.
Edit: Please read my review again- I spent fifteen minutes looking for the location on foot after I parked and couldn't find it. I went inside the building and looked all around, looked at adjacent buildings, and looked across the street.
Later I did some digging and found that you operate at a completely different gym across the street, which is mentioned on your website in tiny letters.
1) The completely different gym is not mentioned anywhere on Class Pass, including in the "how to find it" section.
2) Your Google listing address is wrong by one digit, so I wasted time looking in buildings across the street.
3) You have no signage outside Los Campeones to indicate that that's where you're located.
The one star is for the extreme unprofessionalism, because if even one of those mistakes didn't occur, I would have been able to find it.

Since joining the Sweat with Jess community a year and a half ago, I feel as if I am part of something that is bigger than just me getting my workout in. I originally started as I had been a member of Los Campeones for a while and witnessed this new group of people having a blast while getting their lift in together. I was intrigued and once I joined, I knew I had found the community I had been looking for since moving to MN and trying different gyms. Self love, kindness and inclusivity are practiced and preached by all to create this wonderful, welcoming environment for people of any age or ability. Jess makes a connection with each person who walks through the doors and ensures that they have the tools needed to grow and succeed-while getting hyped up along the way. Not only is the programming incredibly strategic, consistently progressive and nonstop challenging, but it’s always got a great variety yet holds true to the basics-including cardio. As a powerlifter who dislikes running, I’ve actually come to enjoy conditioning and could definitely feel my endurance build over the course of the last 18 months.
Outside of class, it truly is remarkable the difference that the members of Sweat have made on the local Twin Cities communities. Between raising awareness and money for military and veteran events, collecting Christmas gifts for children in need, gathering workout clothes to donate to a local wellness center, or finding a home for rescued dog, I am in awe of the goodwill and compassion that this group brings out in each other. I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for when I started, but I know why I stayed. With Covid and working from home, oftentimes my 6 am class would be the only time I would leave the house. It has filled my cup in more ways than I could ever expect.

This image is SWEAT, a group of people who support and cheer you on both in the gym and outside of the gym. SWEAT with Jess has changed my life physically and mentally. When I signed up I had no idea the impact SWJ would have on my life.
One of the most intimidating things about a gym is the unknown. Not knowing exactly how to do proper form, movement, or what muscle groups to work each day. Great news.. you don't need to know anything, all you need to do is show up, Jess does all that for you! SWEAT is for ALL levels and really focuses on YOU vs YOU. There's no monitor of whos heart rate is the highest, poster of who came the most that month, contest to see who loses the most inches.. it's you vs you with an unexplainable community backing you up and cheering you on!
One of the best decisions I've ever made was to stop watching her class from a far and actually show up! I've made more progress in my lifts than I ever imagined and friendships that'll last a life time.
I truly believe everyone needs a little SWEAT with Jess in their life!

I HIGHLY recommend sweat with Jess! She is so welcoming, loving and sweet! I remember my first time coming and Jess was so helpful when it came to do things I had never done. She made me feel so comfortable and confident. She gives great tips and really supports you when you’re working out ❤️

Today I jokingly said I would be a few minutes late to class unless I decided to opt out and go to the bar instead. While I was joking, Jess said “let the gym be your therapy”. She later followed up with me with a text, human to human. I promise you, you will not find another coach, program, or community quite like SWJ. I’ve watched my fitness journey flux over the years but never have I been so positively influenced to enjoy all the stages of my body. From fit to …maybe had too much fun this summer :). I joined SWJ last summer as lockdowns were being lifted and I was missing group fitness. For someone who likes group fitness but isn’t one to chat or make friends after class, I was so so so amazed how quickly I felt like I belonged with Jess. Not only were the workouts amazing and also challenging af, the people were so cool. I’ve made some forever friends in just a year and I’m feeling strong and super motivated. Jess is passionate about her craft, sharing her life, and meeting people where they are at- she is a coach, a mentor, and a friend. Many people say it looks intimidating what we do at Los, but I can commit to you that Jess and the sweat community will meet you where you are and you’ll have the very best time getting fit.

Finding Jess is one of the best things that has happened to me. She is not only a trainer, but she is supportive, caring and one of the best people I have ever met. I started with her a year ago, and it’s crazy to see the community she has built. If you are looking for a gym that is full of supportive men and women, this is the right spot for you. It doesn’t matter what level you are in lifting or if you are inexperienced with working out. She will build with you from the ground up and help you accomplish any goals you are trying to achieve and you will do that with a whole team behind you, cheering you on!

Jess is honestly the best coach ever! She’s fierce, supportive, kind, compassionate, loud, and supportive. I started Sweat consistently in February. I had quit my job and needed something for me. She not only helped and encouraged me to reach PRs, she also helped and encouraged me in life. Jess wants more than just gym gains for her Sweatlettes, she wants you to gain success in your career, peace in your life, and confidence in yourself! We lift, squat, do pull ups, push ups, run, and a little bit of twerking on a good day! If you try a Sweat class you will leave sore, but you won’t regret it, and you’ll probably show up again!

Sweat with Jess is the best fitness program I’ve ever experienced! Not just from the stand point of exercise, but also for the positive and lively community that surrounds it. Everyone I’ve come in contact with is welcoming, genuine, and incredibly humble. NO EGOS or competition - just hitting goals and celebrating one another whether big or small! I can confidently say I’ve built some of the best friendships here. Jess mixes both strength and conditioning in her programming so her athlete’s have a very well-rounded experience. It changes constantly and you always leave feeling energized!

Jess is a light in this world. She greets everyone with a smile and a huge hug. She will be your biggest cheerleader and encourage you to show up for yourself and the Sweat community all day everyday. Sweat is challenging, always evolving and energetic. I cannot say enough about Sweat with Jess and Jess - it’s hard to summarize my experience but I’ll try! In Jan 2021 I walked into Sweat a little nervous and apprehensive, yet excited. I discovered Jess on Instagram. It took me a few months to build up courage to try her class, but after experiencing a huge loss in my life I realized “life’s too short” and I jumped in. I am now SO glad I took the leap (wish I wouldn’t have waited so long) and forever grateful that Jess created the Sweat community. After my first class, all anxiety and apprehension went out the door. Not only is Jess a super knowledgeable and motivating coach, she’s an incredible human being and one of my biggest role models in life. Jess doesn’t just care about her Sweatlettes while in the gym, she takes a holistic approach to coaching that impacts lives well beyond the barbell. She’s helped me find my confidence in the gym and encouraged me to follow MY goals and dreams. As long as you show up as you are, Jess will meet you exactly where you’re at with a big hug and lots of laughs along the way. I wish everyone could experience a Sweat class. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Sweat with Jess has been a life changing program for me! I have always been a lazy active person. Basically I'll play sports, hike, or some form of cardio but never fully pushed myself or made it part of my entire life. I started out slow when joining because I was intimidated by the workouts. I quickly realized how much I loved being surrounded by people who are showing up for themselves and just trying. I've been regularly doing sweat for over a year now and have loved every minute of it. The workouts became my own personal challenge to strive towards. Aside from the workout, Jess brings people together like no one I've met before. She will help you anywhere in your fitness journey and support you in your food journey as well. Everyone needs a little (or a lot) of Jess in their life!

I've been working out with Jess since 2011 and I truly believe she has changed the trajectory of my life. She inspires you to be the best you can and will never stop encouraging you to SHOW UP. Her workouts are tough and will constantly challenge you. If you're not being challenged then you're not at a Sweat with Jess class. One thing in particular that sets her apart from others is the Community she fosters in her program. When you walk into her class you know you're there with friends. It takes a special kind of person to bring people together like that and actually make working out FUN. Come check out her class, you won't regret it!
