I had a very disappointing experience with the lady working at this location. When I asked simple questions about cancellation and freezing my account, she kept responding rudely and showed no willingness to help. Her attitude was unprofessional, and it felt like I was bothering her just for asking basic information. When I mentioned canceling the account, her behavior became even worse. This is not the kind of customer service anyone expects. Very poor experience.

An employee at this location wanted to take a picture of me before my workout this morning.. I asked her why, and she said it was "Corporate Policy" that I must comply or leave. I asked to see where that was a policy, as I have never been asked that before at any other location, and she of course did not have an answer for that. I asked if it was a security or verification issue, and she said she really didn't know why, but it was just "Policy"... I didn't feel comfortable with the interaction whatsoever, especially since she couldn't tell me why, so I declined her taking pictures of me.. If Planet Fitness truly needed my photograph for some reason, they already have my email AND phone number in their system to reach out and ask me for it. Also, if a picture was a "requirement", wouldn't they have asked for it the day I signed a contract? Well, after I declined pictures of me being taken, I was quickly denied service.. I expressed to the employee that I would be asking corporate for an explanation.. I've sent a request in to have someone contact me back, and they have yet to do so. So, idk what's going on at that particular location, but Planet Fitness needs to get ahold of what their gyms are doing to their members. I have been a Black Card Member for while now, and visit Planet gyms all over this country.. It's very unprofessional how I was declined service like that. I feel it is intruding on someone's privacy to just assume you can point a camera at someone as they walk in to exercise in peace, and just expect it to be ok. Even if it is something needed for verification of who I am, would my government issued drivers license not suffice? It has my photo AND address on it to verify who I am in their system.. Nope, I guess that's not good enough for the folks running the Planet Fitness at '2540 Robinson St, Jackson, MS 39209'. (For corporate, this interaction happened on Thursday Sept 26th, 2024 at about 8:55am. (The employee was a female named Sonja/Tonja/or Sonya) She didn't want tell me her name when I asked for it, but I saw the name tag. It was written with permanent marker, but was very faded.)

I really enjoy Planet Fitness.....My only concern as being a black card holder is being able to invite a friend but can only allow my friend to use the equipment with me but not use the black card spa. It is like inviting someone to dinner and telling them they cannot have any dissert. I feel the spa is a special part of the workout and should be able to finish with my AND my invited friend.

I absolutely LOVE Planet Fitness-Westland Plaza. The manager, Marcus White, is amazing. He is always going above and beyond to ensure that everyone is comfortable and knowledgeable about how to properly utilize the machines. He is extremely supportive with ensuring that we achieve our fitness goals. Iโve been to several locations, but there is truly no other location like this one. From day 1 he and his team member, Sonya welcomed us with smiling faces and made us feel like family. Planet Fitness is blessed to have them. I recommend everyone to come experience the awesomeness of this facility.

I stay like 25 minutes away now but this is my home gym. When Iโm in town I pass up several other locations for this one. Iโve been to over 50 pf worldwide because I drive trucks and try to stay active. When I tell you the morning crew is the absolute best worldwide I mean it. Since The middle age Afro American lady joined that facility has been superb!! The restrooms are always clean and smells nice. Her and the younger guy in the morning do thorough cleaning. I leave reviews at the nasty pfs but I have to give credit where credit is due theyโve turned westland plaza gym completely around. They arenโt just workers they take pride in turning that place around. Thx for all you do.

There was a girl at the counter that was on her phone and when i approached and when i said hello she continued on her phone for another 2 or 3 minutes before she acknowledged my existence. Never mind I gave her 2 minutes to look up before that. I enjoy fitness. I do not enjoy social settings when putting in the work of my gym flow. Westlands is the only gym that I can utilized in the day time and not be overly packed by youngsters more interested in visual than being fit. When I come in to put in work I mean I like putting in work. This place is just as dangerous as North Jackson, as Madison County, as Rankin county and Clinton. Most of the danger in Mississippi is people who interact with a pre-presence of a habitual phrased culture. And this gym has some of the best equipment. Body builders and power lifters get high recommendations from me for Planet Fitness. They have some of the safest equipment set up for injury recovery. Yes you can bring your teen child to educate fitness and build knowledge into the fitness industry or as a personal preference. This gym is pretty cool.

I love that every time I come in there is equipment I can get on since people think this location is dangerous itโs always empty for me :) due to Covid thats perfect (Westland plaza location) never over crowded. Very good gym. I HIGHLY recommend. I was told not to go here because it's "ghetto" but thats the FARTHEST thing from true. All the machines work and they have everything you could think of. They even have equipment I havent seen at the facilities in SD, Montana, and the I55 location. Not to mention the TB enhancent machine works.
