This gym has been like a second home to me for the past year. However there are some things that deeply irritate me. Being hustled out of the gym 5 minutes before close is one of them. I know they have to make sure everyone is out by a certain time but the incessant pestering as if I'm completely oblivious to the fact that the gym is closing is not appreciated. Another is the crappy rap music they have started blaring so loudly that I can't hear my own ear buds over it.
The mats always need to be wiped down before use, leaving black residue on the paper towel.
The bathrooms could also use a good cleaning.
Other than that I really love it here and the overall atmosphere is good.

Went in today and had a terrible experience. I was in the shower and they literally switched the lights off on me because they were closing. I asked for just 5 minutes to dry off and get dressed and the staff told me “we’re closed.” Super rude and unprofessional. Definitely not the way to treat people.

I had a bad experience with the previous management and left a bad review when they continued to charge my daughter even after she cancelled in person. However, the new management has been terrific! The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. It can get very busy at times, but they recently updated the equipment, and its the best value in town to get fit!

It’s always something. The staff “play” too much. I’m not sure if I look like a teenager or want to play and joke after a workout while I’m requesting use of other things or what, but the play handing me the sanitation bottles.. it’s aggravating and everyone doesn’t like to play. Just the other day, the staff hawked and stared me down during my ENTIRE workout because I refused to take a picture. I come to work out, looking a mess, no make up, and you bothering me about a picture! I just skipped my gym day Wednesday because I didn’t want to be bothered!! I’ve been coming to this particular location since 2023, I have the black card membership. Sometimes they let my son trial a massage chair and then goes to say “who ever done it before wasn’t supposed to so be grateful,” and basically said I was a snitch for telling. What was my 15 year old son going to do to your chair?? Now I’m told I have to show ID upon entering because I refused a picture in that moment. What’s next??? I just come to work out like I’ve been doing, not eat your equipment. I’m not sure of how much longer I’ll be a member. I may rather go work out in the windows of the other gyms..

I drive a truck for a living so accessible gyms are few, but Planet Fitness locations tend to be the most accommodating for me. This one is on the smaller side but has plenty of equipment and though the parking lot looked full, the gym itself was pretty empty at 10 pm. Another benefit for me is that they allowed me to park overnight as long as I stayed out of the way. It's nice to be able to end a day of driving with a quick workout and a shower and not have to continue driving somewhere else to find parking. The staff was on the younger side, but very helpful and nice. I will definitely come back to this location in the future.

From start to finish when I walk in I feel like I belong. There is no judgement no critics just everyday people doing extraordinary things. My husband and I have been a member since 2016. This review seems overdo but right on time because Isaac who's the manager now is one in a hundred. He's young, yet professional, kind, courtesy and always willing to help. His staff is awesome as well. First time here at Tupelo location in years and I will tell you the pros and cons:

Pros:
Looks decently clean inside.
Lots of machines and weights.
Open 24 hours weekdays in 2023.
Lots of parking spots.
Decently friendly staff. Very nice GM who signed me up.
Plenty of showers to use before work
Nothing seems out of order
Safe place, not ghetto 😆
Beautiful people. Nobody judges u. Everyone kind.

Cons:
Bring your own body wash for showers.
Bring your own towel for shower.
Some showers have cold water. Not all have hot water!
Bathroom smelly at times. Need spray air fresheners.
Love spinning. Need spinning machines please !
No group classes to take cardio classes.
Staff member training people on clock at night (maybe he’s manager) leaving one staff member at desk alone to answer phones, check people in, sign up new memberships. There were times the paper towel holders were ALL empty on the floor in gym at 7pm! Couldn’t wipe down equipment but front desk white guy couldn’t leave desk to replenish them all.
