Gym is pretty nice, lockers are pretty nice as well. I would say the dumbbells could be in better shape just from being used a lot over time.
This gym also can get busy due to the tech school Airmen going to this gym but this gym is better than dragon fitness.
Overall I recommend until Blake fitness is reopened, has a lot of equipment, cardio machines and has a small boxing room that can be used as well.

Great facility but one employee in particular just ruins it on the weekends. If you see a balding old white guy with a beard you might as well turn around and go to dragon fitness. Rudest and most strict gym employee ive ever had the displeasure of interacting with. If you are enjoying your workout and he sees you, consider yourself kicked out.

These are the operations hours for the last 3 years currently applying. They will probably change in the future when the three gyms get open.
Mon-Thu 0400 to 2100 hrs
Friday 0800-2100 hrs
Non-Training Friday 0800-1800
Sat - Sunday 0800 to 1800 hrs
Holidays closed
If you have any questions the people at the front desk can help you with that.
Otherwise there is a Keesler magazine display at the gyms, commissary, sablich center, hospital, etc where are all the activities to going on base for that corresponding month.

Some questionable hours on the weekends. But I guess this gym is mostly for trainees in tech school. But it didn't open until noon on a Saturday. Those kids even have to be awake. But the weekday hours are nice. Speaking of tech schoolers, if you come between 1645 and 1800 it's likely to be full of them. The rest of the day is good and this spot has a lot of weights and a wide variety of machines. So pretty good overall.
Edit: I'm now permanent party here. There are a few things I wished they had like a sauna and assisted pull ups. But this remains a great place to workout when not full of students.

If you are on post, and can get to the gym during off-peak hours. It's solid. Otherwise, it becomes a mess of a time trying to get a workout in.
And as far as an on post gym goes, comparatively to other bases, this is really just an after thought. It's like they forgot to plan it out and tossed it all together after the fact.

Pros:
- Wide variety of equipment
- Equipment is relatively new and well maintained
- Broken equipment is rapidly repaired
Cons:
- Is the nearest gym for all student status personnel and thus is very packed most of the time
- Boxing room is not well maintained
- Stretching/flexibility equipment is in a tiny room that can only fit 2 people at a time

It can get rather crowded in the mid-to-late afternoons, but this gym has just about everything you'd ever need to get a decent workout in. It's very clean and well managed, and features all sorts of machines. It does however lack certain facilities such as other rec rooms or a sauna.
Overall, you can accomplish most workouts but come early if you want to make the most of it.

If you're able to, come during the day. It's basically two different gyms when the pipeliners are there and when they're in class.
Otherwise it's a straightforward open gym floor, mostly focused on lifting and strength training. The weekend hours are really tight for some reason and the fitness Center doesn't follow the training/non-training schedule, so always check what their Friday hours are before you take your pre-workout!
Last piece of advice: bring your own water. The water in the two fountains here has a very.. distinct.. taste.

This gym is not anything special especially in size but it has just about every machine you would need to work out your whole entire body. It is very crowded during mid afternoon so I would recommend going early morning or late at night. I couldn't find any water fountains so I also recommend bringing a water bottle. The lockers are pretty big and each bathroom should have 1-2 showers.
