This gym usually has a good atmosphere. They are under new management now - Genesis Health Clubs. The new company is OK, but leaves much to be desired in the realm of customer service and personal trainer management.

Money not well spent. My contract ended so I called to try and cancel my memebrship; however, I was told that I could not cancel over the phone and had to come in. I lead a very busy life and could not make it in, so I called them again a couple months later and spoke with a manager. He also stated that I HAD to come in. After our conversation, I looked on the site and it clearly states that I can cancel my membership over the phone. I immediately called them back and informed them their website states that I could cancel via phone. The rep took my name and address and stated that it was processed. Despite everything, I still thanked him for his help and he said nothing... just hung up the phone. Horrible company. Horrible service.

Now operated by genesis health clubs, and have added an Enhancement fee that was never communicated to the membership ... apparently they can decide the dollar amount and bill you , and if you question them, they threaten to send to a collection agency .. interesting approach in customer service during a period of transition ... would think they would prefer to maintain a good relationship with previous members of clubs they have taken control of

Typical big box gym with zero amenities. Look elsewhere for consistently working equipment and clean floors.

I'm going active military and I went in a month in advance as imagined I needed to to cancel and asked what I should do about it. But the front desk lady told me I just need to make sure I come up in person. I came up in person to cancel and they said I would still be charged for the next month. I still got charged and only did because of their contract stating that I had to come up and cancel a month in advance. The thing is I did come up a month in advance to ask about how I should cancel. Then I called the manager after getting he charge and he was not helpful at all. Stating the same thing about the contract. He said he is not responsible for what HIS employee had said. Umm excuse me? It's your employee and it IS your problem if they give out false information. Needless to say, I got irritated talking with the manager and he did not help. Also he got very lippy as well and kept repeating the same thing when he clearly had no idea what I was saying. Think twice before signing your life away to this gym. Bad news

Great place to workout but the people at the front desk are not helpful. Pushy sales reps.

One of the best gyms I have been to!....It is convenient, clean and fully equipped!....I do not like the fact that some members throw water into the system to activate the steam generation in the steam room!....There needs to be a sign telling people not to do that!....since it breaks down the system!...

No longer 24 hour fitness. As a 24 member passing through town, an employee of Genesis Fitness (new owner) told me to come in and he'd give me a guest pass. So I drove 10 miles off I70 to get a lift in, only to have the guy's manager try to charge me $15 for a day pass. Not a good start to new management. Instead, I'll pay for a day pass at another gym where I'm not lied to.

24 hour fitness is the only gym I have gone to in Lees Summit. It's a good gym but has a lot of flaws. For one, equipment is rarely updated or fixed quickly. I have seen numerous treadmills broken for weeks without being fixed. The shower in the pool area has been broken for almost a year. The swim suit dryer in the men's room is broken fairly frequently as well.
This place has a lot of amenities. There is a whole floor upstairs dedicated cardio and the entire downstairs is dedicated to weights. The selection for both is good.
They are missing wifi at the gym and I have been asking about it for nearly 2 years. They always say they won't provide it. I find that it would be better to use my iPad on a treadmill than watching whatever they have on TV.
Overall, the only reason I still go here instead of checking out legacy park is because the Costco membership makes the deal around $15 a month. I would never pay full price for this place.

Be careful when you try to sign a new membership contract. there is a $64 fee that they will charge you in a specific time of the year that they will never tell you about until you call the support.

Gordon, Reagan, Dustin and "B" are the best! Gordon does a great job staying on top of the repairs and maintenance! This location ROCKS! Keep up the good work. Oh yeah...Alicia and Megan have AWESOME 5:30 am classes now.

This is an awesome facility! Every single staff I've encountered is friendly. They have more than enough equipment, space, and amenities (the steam room is pretty cool). They are also pretty clean from what I've seen. My personal trainer has been awesome as well! She knows what she's doing and is nice, easy to talk to, and very encouraging. If you're looking for a trainer, ask for Hannah! I've been a member since January 2015, and I'm very sad to be leaving this gym - due to moving out of state.

Larger location. At least two of everything. Entire floor just with cardio equipment. Vents were moist and leaking, seemed to be a normal thing.

This place seriously needs detailed cleaning. The men's locker room, changing area, shower stalls (floors and walls), toilets (stall walls) has been severely dirty for months. There is human hair and other debris in the pool and hot tub. The HVAC vents in the pool area are crusted with lint, dirt and who knows what else. All of the dirt, debris and whatever else is there has triggered severe sinus issues on four different occasions. After two of these events, I had to seek medical care about four days after the visit.
Do not plan to return, until they get their act together.

When they first opened it was clean. Now it is dirty. I will switch to another club Legacy Park which is where I came to 24 from. I wanted a more adult club but the filth is becoming unbearable.
