We have been part of ActivStars for going on 8 years. It's a great program that focuses on child safety and teaches specific escape drills if for some reason they are ever approached by an adult trying to take them or harm them. It's a noncompetitive environment which means the kids don't feel intimidated. It's cheap and only a one night a week commitment. So just enough to get the kids the basics, but not burn them out.

Sensi Peter is the best teacher. My grandson is very active and needs structure and focus. He has learned that with his sensei. He is very excited every week to go to class. There was a lot of bullying at his school but that has dwindled since he has been going to classes. He is very very happy! Thank you Activstars!

All 4 of my oldest kids are in karate and they absolutely love it and their instructor is amazing and very good with the kids! My kids have learned so much about stranger danger and how to protect themselves. They will be continuing this class again

This has been a good program to join for my 6 year old who is scared to try new things. I wish the program had kept our old location because the new location is not ideal learning environment - no ac and not as clean.

My daughter goes to this class every week she enjoys all of the new techniques that she learns to keep her safe. The instructor is very patient with each and every last one of the students he works with them one on one until they get their movement and understands.
It's a very positive class that teaches children how to protect themselves even if their parents are not around .
The activstars class is not expensive and it will fit in with your budget very well
