I recently moved to Fredericktown from the Atlanta area, where big gyms with lots of amenities were the norm — things like classes, tanning, massage chairs, and guest passes, all for around $23/month. Here, it’s $175 for 6 months (about $29/month), with a smaller space and fewer extras.

That said, I’m really glad to have a local gym in town. It’s clean, convenient, and helps me stay consistent. One thing I’ve noticed, though — the cable machines seem way off. I track my workouts and weights using an app I’ve used for years, and these machines are telling me I’m lifting nearly double what I normally do, which just isn’t physically possible for me. It’d be super helpful if the machines were calibrated or clearly labeled in pounds or kilograms.

Overall, I appreciate having a gym close to home. A few small updates could really enhance the experience, and I’m hopeful to see it continue to grow with the community.
