I’ve been a Club Fitness member for over 8 years and have called several locations my “home gym” over that time. The K&N location has been my main spot for the past 3 years, and it’s improved a lot.

The only real downside is how crazy crowded it is — something the gym itself can’t do much about. Other than that, I’ve rarely had any issues. The staff is friendly and attentive, the equipment and facility are kept clean, and the members are welcoming.

I definitely felt discriminated against it was very hard to get assistance or to even talk to anyone at all they will see you standing there and will ignore you and continue to have conversation with each other it’s a very nice gym but that staff was not welcoming at all. i was banned from this gym a couple years back because i had talked about my massive arms referring to them as my guns now i can not come here and see my friends that still go here im giving you guys one star because i feel like this should of been handled differently i truly have massive arms and this is a gym i am also a performer who's stage name is 50 Cal apparently it was so bad they called the cops and continued to charge me even after i left and now have i think almost a 1000$ bill after i have not been there in almost 4 years after they cancelled my membership

This location is not the primary Club that I go to, but due to proximity and convience, I decided to go in. It's an aesthetically beautiful and clean location. My biggest annoyance is some of the equipment. From what I can tell, almost all of the Panatta equipment doesn't list a starting/unloaded weight, which is frustrating when I'm trying to figure out how much to load. Second, the Panatta hip thrust machine they have is obviously designed and geared towards men. The padded lap bar doesn't fall in the right spot, and the foot pad is so far out that you can't maintain proper form as a 5'4" woman. I would've switched to hip thrusts on the Smith machine, but alas, no pad for the bar. Overall, I was disappointed with the brand of equipment. I would think it would make more sense to keep equipment the same across all their locations, but I guess not. The Ellisville location has more user friendly and inclusive equipment in my opinion.

I walked in with a couple of my friends to ask about how I could get them a guest pass or a day pass. I proceeded to ask do you have guest passes. they said they only have day passes so I asked them how much they are, and the employee i was talking to said "20 bucks" which i felt wasn't very reasonable because my pass is 35 a month so me and my Friends went to the club fitness on main street ofallon to see if it was any different. So I scanned my pass at the door and it wouldn't open. The employee let me in and asked if I needed help with my pass and I told him it worked at the other gym.. He scanned my pass and said the club on K & N flagged my pass for trying to sneak people in which is complete bs because the first thing i did was walk into the k and n location and ask how I can get them a pass for the day. I proceeded to explain the situation to the staff member at the main street location and he removed the flag and told us if you go online you can get a day pass for FREE! so why did the k & n location try and charge them for the day pass. I love this gym it's well kept and huge inside but the rude looks from all 8 employees at k & n and the charge for something that was completely free was unnecessary. Beware of the k & n Location. If you like club I recommend going to the one in st peters or the one on ofallon main..

I like the club, it’s clean and well kept, however, they almost never change the water filter. It’s always showing red which means it needs to be replaced. I think this is poor management, your customers should have access to clean water that is safe to drink.

2nd review: they have opted to just turn off the lights from the water filters completely. So now, you’ll never know wether you’re drinking something safe

3rd review: they removed the led indicators completely. This shows they just don’t care and are willing to do anything so that they are not in the spotlight for not providing clean water

I enjoy classes with my Burn Zone work out group. I appreciate it when we celebrate holidays, joke, and support each other. Lisa is a great instructor.

I also enjoy HiiT, Pilates, Yoga and other classes. The instructors are friendly and warm. They encourage me and invite me back.

Used the gym with my family for years until they took away 24/7 access along with limiting what gyms I could use (HUGE break of contact) while also increasing the price!!! When I tried to get a new membership that didnt remove all of the access and sign up online it specifically says NO CONTACT, NO ENROLLMENT FEES while chargeing an annual fee like a contract would along with a $21 enrollment fee. Its really funny to see NO ENROLLMENT FEE and a $21 enrollment fee right on top of each other!

Enjoyed this gym for a long time. Met tons of awesome people and had years of great experiences. Being a Big Box gym, occasionally you have to deal with assholes and people who are ignorant of etiquette. This happens everywhere so Club can't really be blamed for that. Whenever I had a valid complaint, management did a great job addressing the situation.
However! Club fitness has decided to turn their back on some of their oldest customers. They canceled all of the original accounts service and let us know our original contract that we signed was no longer good. A contract that we were held to for years was suddenly no good. If we missed payment, we would be sent to collections according to the contract, but the moment the contract no longer suited Club, they were canceled. Long term members were forced to sign a new contract at 3x the original price. This was unacceptable.
Had a great time at this gym, but out of principle I can't support it.
Equipment at the gym has also suffered drastically as they completely went overboard with the Panata equipment. Some is great, other equipment like the benches are simply unusable.

I’ve been a Gold member for 11 mos and haven’t used 1 guest pass. Tried to take my 15 year old daughter and was told had to be 18 “unless she joins”. They can join under 18 but can’t be a guest. What a joke! She can go daily with my husband to Planet which is much newer and nicer. Their policies are outdated! I will be changing clubs!

I’ve been a member for over ten years and have had a great experience up until the end of 2023. It seems the owners really only care about new members and money with their new tiered plan, which strips legacy members of a lot of what used to come with their plan. I can no longer use the gym 24 hours, can no longer visit any gym that I want and now have to set a home gym. When I asked to set the Lake St Louis location as my home gym, I was told to select “any gym but that one”, as you can’t be a legacy member and go to that gym lol. I’m just biding my time until another option comes into town which values my loyalty.

Lately new equipment has been added that has a way lower ease of use and feels unnatural such as the new bench presses. The new benches have two places to rack the weight one of which is set at the height of a toddler and the other is meant for shaq apparently, i am 6’3 and unable to even get close to reach it.

I love how many options there are for plate and pin weight machines. The atmosphere is also very motivating and upbeat. Front desk is polite. Would love to see a chest support T bar row and more barbell bars for plate added easy curls.
The sauna is the hottest in the region but can be dirty and the screw heads that secure the boards can burn your legs and back.

So I have been a member with club fitness since 2010. I used to live in Illinois and that was my home gym. Let’s move forward to me going to the K and N in Ofallon. Been going here for about 2 years roughly. I got an email stating from my home gym that I needed to move my info to a new home gym. This was October 2023. In November I asked someone at the front desk if I needed to send my info over to this gym or I would be canceled. An employee said no I did not have to move my account over. So I took that as I didn’t have to switch. This is roughly around December 2023 and January 2024 when the new app came out. You had the choice to keep the price point of $19.99 that is now $33.00. When I went to the front desk to ask why I couldn’t get into the new app. They could not find me anywhere in the system yet I had a barcode that I used to go in and workout. This is when I found out I was canceled. So I was informed that I basically 1 did not get the choice of getting that $19.99 price point but secondly they told me to rejoin at $33.00. I was emailing customer care that should not even be customer care because they do not care nor did they try and help me so I would not have to rejoin due to being misinformed by an employee. I would love to go to this gym but it’s the principle that I should’ve gotten the chance to keep my original price I was already paying not to resign. I was informed via the manager that they could not do anything with getting me at the price point from my old account. The only thing they could do would be wave my new sign on fees and have me not pay for a couple months. Way to keep the paying customers that have been there for almost 15 years. #notcoolclubfitness

A magnificent build gym! Love the concept and all the features available at this location. The membership fees is pretty reasonable in today’s age. The only problem is the staff wasn’t very friendly or welcoming at this location. I felt a hype/happy vibe was missing with the staff. Overall, I would definitely recommend taking the day or 2 day free guest pass and checking out all the equipments available here! I was a long time member(12 years) until recently. I had a locked in rate but in early December they notified me that amenities were being removed and I'd have to pay more to keep the current perks. I lost the ability to goto any location and 24 hr access. They also informed me I cant switch my home location making my membership useless. (I moved a few yrs ago) When I spoke to the manager he sort of shrugged and confirmed that the clubs goals are to shed lower paying members or have them upgrade. Horrible business practices and customer service across the board. I do not recommend. Their business model is to tell you what you want to hear and then revoke priveleges unless you pay more.

I’ve been going to club fitness for 5 years. They are ALWAYS changing memberships and taking things away from you. When I started going to club, I had access to some tanning beds and all locations 24 hours for $22. This was important to me as I’m a first responder and have odd hours. A couple years later, they changed the membership and upped the price. I was no longer allowed to tan unless I paid for it. Annoying, but fine. This past upgrade is RIDICULOUS- and $40 a month!! You are not allowed to use ANY tanning bed (not even if you want to pay) unless you pay for the highest membership. You no longer have access to any gym and no longer can go 24 hours unless you pay $33. You also are unable to use the girls’ room unless you have the highest membership. What is the point of having a girls room to make girls feel safe, yet only allowing your girls to feel safe for a fee. So now, since i’ve moved, I have to drive 30 minutes to a club fitness, between certain hours, and get absolutely zero perks. I’ve been loyal to this company for years and they are extremely greedy. It would be different if clubs were high quality gyms, but they aren’t. I think it’s time to move on from this gym. I wish I didn’t have to but it’s getting ridiculous.

Past years “lock in your rate and it’ll never change” this year “either double your rate or loose 90% of amenities and limited access hours” great ethical behavior to loyal customers. What’s next, going to only allow loyal members access from 9am to 11am unless they pay $80? Thankfully several alternatives opening up; this place has gone down hill. Remnants of golds gym.

FYI: from contract it’s interpreted company can only change terms for next billing period not in middle of term just because it’s easier on company’s billing department. So if you charge member on 11.30.23 based on specific terms then make a change to terms on 12.4.23, this member already paid for services through 12.30.23. These changes cannot go into affect for that member until 12.30.23. Who do you use for legal services?

Good experience working out here. They have a good variety of machines and a large enough quantity that you mostly aren't waiting for much. They did make some strange choices on the number of different machines they have available. That made it irritating when trying to complete my routine (for example there was only one weighted crunch machine but quite a few hip abductors). Overall a good experience.

The counter people got my name wrong. Yes, I’m Wyatt Polio. But I go by Prince Herb, and I believe we’ve already established that! I didn’t buy earrings or a purse to be misgendered in 2023! Anywho, I found the sauna to be kinda zest. It’s not working! Yowzers! I found better saunas in Charizard, Israel. There were some interesting fellas for sure. The basement was scary when I was lured into it. A nice janitor lady tried to warn me in North Korean, but I still got dragged into the abyss. Btw, Prince Herb here! The weights were clean, but straight. The protein shakes were great, but not fruity. I had a fender bender in the parking lot. And when my earring fell, I saw some eyes stare. Now that’s zesty.

Due to me being BLACK there’s a sarcastic issue and we weren’t greeted
There’s always children 13 and over working out with their parents.
She’s being prejudice because she never STOPPED grown men from walking in with their friends with no membership.
I am a licensed paralegal and I will definitely be looking into this matter further because my son witnessed a prejudice situation near our home. At my gym and I have been a member since 2015.
If you don’t like your employment or people of color. I highly suggest furthering your education.

In the summer it’s extremely warm, my guess is AC set to about 75, but it’s going to feel like 80 in here while you’re .working. the winter, also extremely warm, to the point where humidity drops from the ceiling and they have leaks in 15 different spots on the ceiling

Recent upgrades to all the equipment, most of it for the better, it's the exception of the new leg press machines. All they really succeed in doing is putting pressure directly into the center of you knee. Foot angles on the pad are strange. Prior models were in great shape. For someone that uses a lot of weight on these, they now completely out of the rotation. Frustrating.

Really loved the cardio theatre which is now gone as well, and is now a mostly unused stretching room. Or rather you can use it if you fork over a ton of money for a trainer.

Have been going to this gym for over 5 years now. It’s close to home and really big with a lot of machine options, which is great. Their monthly rate is decent and understandable because you get a lot with their membership. Two complaints that have ruined this gym for me are the men that come here to just bother women and VERY young girls. They stare, take videos and pictures and literally only come to stare at girls. It’s very uncomfortable and honestly really scary. I have been talked to so many times and told some really disgusting things at this location. I wish they would hire older staff to take care of these issues because the younger staff doesn’t know how to approach these situations. Also, I wish there was a bit more of a dress code like fancier gyms have, i love people dressing confidently and expressing themselves but guys take their shirts off and girls literally come in shorts so short it’s like underwear.. with their behinds hanging out. This causes a lot of strange men to just stare and disturb everyone. It just causes a lot of attention/disturbance and I have been told it makes a lot of women uncomfortable to be there. Overall If there was a bit more of a dress code and more attention to detail with the disturbing behavior some people have there, it would be a great place for everyone.

My husband and I signed up for the Platinum level membership. One month into the membership they were changing everything and we got downgraded on a lot of services that we signed up excited that we could do, was no longer eligible to Platinum members. Considering we had only had the membership for a month I feel like there should have been something with people grandfathered in. Between the two of us we are paying 80 a month and I lost access to some of my favorite things. I enjoyed the movie room. They no longer have that now, it is now a stretch and recovery room. So now I am back out on the floor and paying $80 just for some cardio equipment. We go to cancel and even though we do not have a contract, we are told we will cost $130 to cancel. Don't be dumb like us and read the fine print. I can't wait to go to planet fitness

However.
I bounce between gyms, often. Sick of seeing the same place, same equipment and same routine.
I went to my "home" location and let them know I was leaving. 3 days later I got an email confirming my departure, the reason "unhappy" and the fee.
I don't care about the fee, I care about the fact that the CSR put unhappy as the reason. He didn't even talk to me beyond asking for my ID. Didn't remind me of penalty, didn't offer suggestions, didn't ask why I was leaving, just clicked away at the computer.
I sent an email to customer service and got basically an auto reply about the cancellation policy, which is great, but I think it's a bit late to address the policy after I've termed. It's not very helpful after the fact.

This gym is really amazing it’s so clean and the staff is very friendly. It’s great they have a room for functional training so I can do my hiit after strength training. Everything is spaced out nicely, they have a nice turf area and it’s a nice looking gym with good equipment and I love the hydro beds but my god this place is always insanely BUSY it doesn’t matter what time of day you go it’s BUSY. They really need to open another location near by. You will have to wait on equipment and modify your workout because of it.

The staff lacks knowledge on equipment and could use some customer service training. The personal training staff seemed more interested in chit chatting about yesterday's affairs than answering my question and left me standing there for 3-5 minutes before I walked away. Updating review...can no longer go to this location regularly. The Men's locker room is disgusting showers constantly dirty, seen the same hair & gum in one for over 3 weeks. With the new year the crowd is ridiculous. Down grading my package to one location, thinking of switching gyms completely.

I’ve been to this club fitness about 3 times now as a complete beginner and so far it’s been the best gym I’ve gone to. The environment is very good and it has the workout energy. Over time from coming here I like it more and more.

I won't go back in that place. They locked their doors during the pandemic without notifying me they were closed.😲Then kept taking my monthly fee out of my bank account during the times I couldn't use their facility🥺. Then tried to collect even MORE money from me after I stopped the account from paying them anymore money, threatened to take me to court. I told them "LETS DO THAT "🤔‼️☺️" YOU LOCKED ME OUT ,TOOK MONEY ALL THE WHILE YOU WOULDN'T LET ME INSIDE. AND NOW YOU WANT MORE MONEY FOR NOTHING‼️❓‼️"I think it's a great idea if you THINK your going to win ‼️☺️ Haven't heard from them since then. I'll never walk into that place ever again ‼️‼️

This gym is awesome for what they offer equipment wise, the staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful, it’s clean and bright…..but jeezus it’s never not insanely packed!!!! The amount of people vs the amount of equipment/space can make it difficult to get a full workout in without extending the workout by 30-45min.

I’ve tried all times of day and apart from 23:00-04:00 it’s packed. It’s like walking into a sardine canning factory. It would be awesome if corporate would decide to open another location for Winghaven/LSL to alleviate some of the congestion.

Extremely clean, great looking, large location with new machines/ weights, and a variety of excercise options for every level of fitness. Oh, the hours of operation fit any schedule, unlike another chain in this area.

Edit: 4 years later after my initial review, a lot of things about this gym are the same: it’s still very clean, and they have added a lot of machines. The only problem is that if you like to actually work out, this might not be the place for you, especially if you have to come after work. If you like to exercise and want to lose weight, this is your spot, But there will be a lot of days where you simply can’t do anything. ANYTHING! If they put a little more thought into their space usage, they could fit for five more benches onto the floor, in at least two locations (The easy curl/curl racks need to be moved against the wall near the mirror). They also need to re-organize the free weights. The heaviest weight should be in the middle, and they should pyramid out from there. That way, when I’m lucky enough to get a bench I don’t have to walk 50 ft with a 100lb dumbbell.

If there was an option for negative stars, I'd give them a -5. This is the worst gym experience I've ever had in my entire life. When I lived in O'Fallon, it was just OK. The staff is full of 18-25 yr olds who do nothing but play, scroll TikTok and IG on their phones all day and actually have the audacity to get an attitude when you ask them a question. Equipment variety is good but the staff lacks even a modicum of professionalism and customer service etiquette is non-existent. Here's where the entire experience becomes completely negative. I recently moved and they make it as impossible as they can for you to cancel your membership. Good luck getting an actual person on the phone that can "help" you. I can maybe understand a 2 week-30day notice to cancel but they require a 5 day "notice" to freeze the account as well. Or you can write a letter or come in person. This is all just a ploy to continue stealing money out of people's accounts. Why is it easier to cancel a Netflix subscription than it is to cancel my gym membership? Since CF wants to go the difficult route instead of providing a solution when customers have an issue, fine. CF seems to think their terms and conditions can protect them from violating customers with predatory business practices. To the owner, I'm in counsel with my attorney and you'll be hearing from me real soon. If you're reading this and considering signing up for a membership with this gym, save yourself the time, money and a headache. You'll regret that decision. This company is a scam and that doesn't become evident until you attempt to cancel your membership. Also, these reviews are addressed through canned, automated response that say "From the owner" that will tell you to send an email. No one from this company actually addresses a problem you have. You've been warned.

Changed prices of membership w/o warning. I signed up for free tanning and prices get changed which is voiding a contract. Bad business practice on their end. Since golds gym is no longer here they think they can charge and do whatever they want. They don’t care about customers. Planet fitness it is.

After having my gym close down, I came to Club to check it out after being a member here many years ago. At first overwhelming but the equipment is superb and the cleanliness, wow!!!!
The staff is pretty awesome too
Hydro massage bed and red light therapy a plus!!! And the way my son has been treated by the staff and members is amazing

I have tried to cancel a membership at this club fitness and I have gone there in person several times to attempt to do this. I have been told that this has been canceled successfully without a problem, but I am receiving collection letters from a company trying to collect a debt for something that club fitness says they have canceled over a year ago.
The computer at club fitness states that the memberships have been canceled but the debt collector situation is ongoing.
If you try to reach someone by phone that is impossible. So each time I go there in person to handle some thing obviously it doesn’t actually get taken care of.
